The composer gave permission for Paolo to record it. Lo and behold it became a hit in the Philippines. The composer was amazed how it was big hit in the Philippines. Moonlight over Paris was also sung by Vanessa Williams, and it didnt became a hit either.

This night I know by searching this song, that this song first published in 1988 by PM, and being covered by Peter Mayer in 1999, also by Paolo Santos in 2009. I saw PM open for Chicago in '88 and was impressed enough to go pick up this CD. Not a bad song on it. All the tunes are finely crafted, well-played, and have hooks aplenty. Still love it thirty years later!
