Thanks mate! 🙂 I’m really happy with it. I’m trying my best to do a video a month at the minute, it just takes quite a long time to do it all. Do you know what bike you’re going to go for?
I bought the D7 and I had to redo the cable for the rear derailleur because the way it had been set up meant it wouldn't drop down into the highest gear, so it's definitely possible to see where they have been cutting corners to bring it in at a (relatively) cheap price. Also the supplied dropper seat post was waaaaay too long - comically so. I had to swap it out for a shorter one.
It’s funny you say about the rear derailleur because that was the only part of my bike that I had to re-setup. It was really out of alignment and it took forever to change gears. I didn’t have to redo any cabling though. How are you getting on with the D7?
@@TheSlowworms Mine changed gear fine (that's why I didn't notice it at first), but it was as if the top get didn't exist. Good job I know what I'm doing, and have set up a rear derailleur before, otherwise I would have had to resort to taking it to a bike shop. Fine. I've actually only done one semi-proper ride with it, the other day. I live near the North Downs in Kent, so I took it over there and rode a few byways. I was out for 4 hours but there was lot of road riding getting to and from the area, so the actual off road portion wasn't that much. Seems like a nice bike. My first full sus, and very different from my (23 year old) hardtail. There's a steep track downhill off the top of the downs I was keen to try, but I still bottled it and ended up walking. It's not only steep but deeply rutted with lots of loose stones, so maybe it's something I need work up to.I did have more confidence to ride other rough stuff than I did on my hardtail though. I'm aiming to do a longer ride in the area tomorrow. I had taken it out for a few ~10 minute rides before that, to test it out, and to bed in the brakes.
That’s good to hear 🙂 I’m used to riding hard tails as well. I wasn’t sure expecting to need to ride it differently to be honest. It files like you needs to push into corners a lot more
@@TheSlowworms i had a recon on my bike too, finally upgrded it to a lyrik after 3 years, but damn, that recon took it like a champ. If you plan doing a lot of bike park, a small lower leg service before will bring the smoothness and make it better than it should be
@@TheSlowworms the lowerleg service is easy to do. Just take time (and really wack the bolt to get the lower off). on the smooth/slow, not really (although i think it's a bit dry from the factory so after a lower.leg service it'll be better). On the fast and rough yes, it stays much more active at high speed. Didn't hit any bike park yet but i can't wait.
Nice! It’ll be interesting to see how much better it is at a bike park. I’ve found that on really cheap SR Suntour air forks, the pressure seems to build up over the course of a day so the fork doesn’t work as well. Did you even get that with your Recon fork?
Woowww really cool new bike Jack. Looks like a refresher. Enjoy bike park Wales
Thanks!!! Yes! I think it has to be called The Refresher!
I too had upgraded from a red pig a few months back.
your back and ankles are going to thank you!
🤣 I love that! my calves don’t seem to be thanking me at the minute because it’s so much harder to cycle it up hills
@@TheSlowworms ha ha yeah you’ll get used to that
you have a great sense of humor i enjoy watching and congrats on the new bike
Thanks very much Lesley! I really appreciate it 😁👍
So happy for you bro! Currently saving up for my first real bike also.
Please update more often!

Ah thanks Sim Dude, I really appreciate it 🙂👍

That’s good to know. This is probably a stupid question but is the Lyrik noticeable better? Is a lower leg service hard to do?

Gatorade sounds fine.
Thanks for watching the whole way through! I like it, nice and simple 👍
Hype!
Yeah! 🤘
Odd Shape...
Polygon bikes have quality issues. Don't know about your bike but i was riding mine in Himalayas and the pedal suddenly broke off
How long had you had the bike for?
The neo candy
😂 I like it! Thanks for watching until the end by the way 👍
