Keep it up, watch a lot of the new crop of you tubers, you guys are way way more real and original, love your musical selections by the way. Did the same trip from Victoria in 86 with an engineless27 footer, brings back wonderful memories, keep it happening .

This brought back memories of the time we spent Christmas and New Years on the Baja with our kids in the town of San Felipe. We hade driven our truck and camper down from Vancouver Island. Our kids had left home so we knew it would be our last camping trip together. It was as wonderful as the fun you had in this video.
    I love your videos.

    Valdés / Alaska ( no Valdez ) . Cayetano Valdés y Flores / Dionisio Alcalá Galiano ( Descubridores ). Good luck from Spain/España .

What is the make of your nesting dinghy? I'm trying to figure out which one is best for my boat and needs (build one or buy a fiber glass one).

Were not sure. It was a craigslist find. It kind of seems like it may have been a single piece that was cut in half and turned into nesting, because it doesn't nest that well, and the connecting bulkheads are plywood instead of fiberglass. We'd planned to stow it all under the boom, but have to stow it in different places on spy because it sits high centered and tall when nested.
Overall it's a little cumbersome to launch and stow, but we love having the hard dinghy for rowing.
      Good luck with your search!

@@sailingspy thanks for the info! Have you been overall happy with the extra hassle and weight of the nesting dingy over your previous smaller pram? That’s kind of my current dinghy conundrum. A small light pram or a bigger nesting dinghy. I also have a rawson 30 and I have a 7’6” deck spot for a dinghy.

It's a tough choice! The hassle and weight hasn't been too big of a pain so far, but we do miss the ease of deploying the one piece. Not excited for the day we need to deploy the two parts in heavy weather to drop additional anchors. The larger dinghy definitely rows better, and can carries larger loads than our pram did... We probably would have kept the pram, if we hadn't decided to put a dodger on...
Excited about your Rawson adventure and happy to help however we can!

Sea of "Cortés" (no Cortez) ... Hernán Cortés .
