I said it once and I'll say it again: This man is full of stories. His grandchildren are so lucky. They can hear his stories whenever they want.
Macca is the only person who can tell a story about Hendrix, Clapton and Townsend and not be name-dropping 😃

I've never seen Stephen so disjointed in an interview. He was properly starstruck. Love it
I feel like he gets this way not just when startstruck but when he's rewriting the interview to maximize something that's going really well. But also that.
Colbert was supposed to interview him for 20 minutes, and we ended up sitting there for 55! He just had so many topics he wanted to cover!
I thought it said disappointed at first, and was like What?!
I know i would be, but he's doing a lot better than i would do if i was to meet Sir Paul McCartney.

Paul’s music since 2001 is massively, underrated! Check out “Chaos and Creation”! Paul is a phenomenon.

Might be one of the few times I’ve seen Stephen truly star struck by his guest. He was so clearly effected by Paul; loved it. ☺️

I had a crish on him when I was 12! Paul was the "cute" one. John was the "smart" one. George was the "spiritual" one & Ringo was THE drummer! What a time it was!
I had that same crush on Paul and I was only 11. I think of Ringo as the nice but forlorn guy wandering around in the scene from "A Hard Days Night" as the song "This Boy" plays. I later loved all of them in their own quirky and individual ways and we all grew up together, enjoying the amazing songs and transformations along the way.
I was a George fan. But my daughter was raised on Beatle music and l just took her to see him live in San Diego 3rd row center. I wanted her to have the experience of seeing this living legend in the flesh and singing Hey Jude together. It was just awesome beyond belief. 3 solid hours. And he’s 77!

I am deeply humbled and overwhelmed with joy this holiday season and I hope to fill the entire world with light as love as much as possible! I can not imagine a world without her majesty the Queen, or Sir Paul McCartney! I really hope I die before they do because I simply do not want to live in a world that is absent of these precious historic deeply profoundly loved and cherished simply astounding beings. I cried my eyes out thinking about that this holiday!
I took my boyfriend of 2 years to a Wings concert, 4th row... yes, I paid! He got so jealous of my screaming for Paul, and staring at Paul, who I have loved my whole life, that he left the concert and then broke up with me! 😂

Lovely interview, and of course McCartney is a living legend, etc... but I love his current music, from 2001 up until now he has been delivering some amazing albums, and he barely ever play those songs or talk about them. I wish someone would once in a while interview him about the last 15 years of his musical career.

Wings was a weird and fun band too that, as is usually the case, got way too much crap. If they can now drag out stuff like the pina colada song and make it famous from blockbusters, you'd think someone could mention anything but the beatles to this dude in at least one interview.

I have loved Paul McCartney since they first came to America, I am 69 now and he is still my favorite singer. Love you Paul.
But it was NOT "Sir Paul" (William) that arrived to America with Fab four, it was the real Paul McCartney.
William didn't join Beatles until late 1966 "as an already set up affair".

''Yesterday'' is so ubiquitous to American Culture, in the 1970's, Mad Magazine published a ''musical'' Star Trek parody, and penned a song that was to be sung to the tune of ''Yesterday''. it was the first pop song I learned after leaving my abusive piano teacher, the Beatles saved a little boy from hating music forever. Thank You Sir Paul, George, John and Ringo.

What is it about the Fab Four that any time I see them I want to cry of joy? I imagine it’s been the same for a lot of people through generations now. I mean, I was born way past their time together and yet I still see very young people in his concerts singing along the Beatles songs.
America fell in love with loving the Beatles. McCartney exhibited amazing talent in not only helping to generate that love in the first place but not failing it ever since.

One of my top favorite artists. My whole life I wanted to meet him. 4 years ago a friend from NBC flew me in to see him I was front row, and he was only 4ft. Away when he sat at the piano, and I felt he and I sang hey Jude together. Shut up I got the pictures!
That sweet movie, “Yesterday”, will introduce a whole new generation to the beautiful brilliance that was/is The Beetles. 💕

Paul, Clapton and townshend just casually hanging out, watching Jimi Hendrix play, on one of the most historical stages in the world, Saville Theatre where the likes of The Beatles, both as a group and individually, Nirvana, Cream, Bee Gee, etc. played.

It's baffling that there is even one. Maybe they don't like being reminded of their age :-) I still remember when Paul was rumored dead, and when the Beatles broke up. Worst of all, I'm still considerably younger than him, and he still looks considerably better than me - not fair!

I accidentally click things all the time on touch screen devices. Even on mouse controlled computers, people lose track where the cursor is and click randomly. Paul and Brian Wilson, both bass players, Geminis (born days apart), admired each other’s music. How cool would it be to see them medley each other’s work together on stage?!
This cool Jimi Hendrix anecdote told by Sir Paul McCartney has always been a great succes. He kept telling it at his concerts for years (just before a very short instrumental cover of "Foxy Lady"). Next time I meet Paul (!!!), I'll ask him to tell about another funny story : the day he received a telegram from Jimi in October 1969 saying "How about coming in to play bass for an LP ?" Also with Miles Davis and Tony Williams ! Someone from Apple office answered that Paul was in holidays so he couldn't make it to New York ! Paul only learnt the all story in 2013 during an interview with a french journalist !!! He was in total shock !

One o the warmest, loving interviews of Macca. Woulda loved to see him perform with stay human. It seemed like JB was itching for it
Elvis, Lennon and McCartney and Micheal Jackson. No one will ever eclipse them in their fame and brilliance. As Paul is the only one left I feel that people revere him much more now than they would if the rest of them were still alive. He is the last of the living legends and we should appreciate every second he's still with us.
