What u have seen a bit of my beautiful culture. There are lot more. If u take just one category like yoga, there is plethora of information about being well and how to live life to everybit, humanity,and solutions for any problems etc etc.

A) why do indians take bath after attending a funeral?
To make sure that the bacteria or viruses that the dead release will be cleansed from our body
B) why do we leave our footwear outside the house?
It is said that shoes or sandals or any footwear contains lot of bad bacteria which gets released due to sweat. Therefore we need to remove our footwear to ensure we do not bring it into house and hence we leave footwear and wash our feet b4 entering house
C) why do indians wash brass and copper vessels in rain water
Brass and copper over period of time react with moisture and form oxides on it. Rain water collected directly b4 touching ground is carbonated water as it absorbs the carbon di oxide in air. When this carbonated water is used to clean oxides react with CO to form H2O and hence the green black deposits on these vessels are removed there by making vessel shine like new one.

I'm not Indian, but I've been taught to leave my footwear outside of the house. 😊 Actually, I'm living in Italy. It was difficult to get used to Italian lifestyle, as they don't take off the shoes 💁♀️🙆♀️.. I still follow this rule, when I go home . Before entering inside home ,I will leave the footwear outside the house and I will go and wash the feet .

I have a few thoughts too.
1. The traditional hair parting is similar to that of our lobes.
As a punishment we were even give small smack of closed knuckles on the head😅 it definetly stimulated the brain! 🤣

I was also taught by my family priest that when we join our hands to say namaste, our thumbs are pointing towards our chest. He said it means we are also saluting the God in our soul. Many from the newer generations are losing touch with these traditions as they are unaware of the science behind them or these traditions don't sit well with their idea of being modern. Am = eyes, Jala = water, jalayantihi = brings water, so Aam jalayantihi = bringing tears to ones eyes or a feeling of compassion. Meaning, with this hand posture (mudra) the opposite person feels compassion towards you. Namaste as interpreted in this video is also very pertinent. We can go on and on about Namaste and other Hindu traditions. But I will stop here. I agree with some interpretations in this video about Hindu traditions and don't agree with some others.
