Pyro is the only class that can remove sappers without a wrench. Spies can't cloak while burning. Airblast reflects rockets and grenades, which are nasty for Engies to deal with alone....There's some serious synchronization there on Valve's part.

Shotguns are inaccurate and have damage falloff (though in real life that would've been close enough to kill, but hey, in real life scout's pistol would 1shot). Revolvers are (in tf2 anyway) highly accurate and high damage.
This is why pyro was so sad here are the best buddies in tf2 Soldier and Demoman Pyro and Engineer Heavy and Medic Sniper and Spy Scout is alone :( or maybe scout and miss Pauling :3

Like Tactical Salmon said, SFM's don't focus on game logic, and by all rights, respawn probably isn't even canon, it's just a convenient means of continuing the game (kinda like how the New-U stations in Borderlands aren't canon, it's just a convenient means of getting you back into the game). SFM's focus' on real logic most of the time (excluding ones like LoneWolfHBS's Tribute Saxxy where it's mentioned near the end about the Spawn failures)

I think the pyro is mexican. He likes to "spice things up", he is used to a lot of heat, is great friends with engi (who is texan - right at the border) and sometimes I swear I can understand some spanish lines he speaks (for example when engi died it seemed as if pyro said "abran paso" which means l"et me through")

2:43 that honestly could've been capitalized upon more. A fight sequence with odds against the pyro and him coming out on top to a remix of the Rocket Jump Waltz could've been done and not some quick jumpcut.
Honestly, I don't think the creator had the skill level or confidence or time to pull that off. Yes, it would have been epic. But it might have been beyond them at the time. And you could always imagine the fight in your head. I'm aware that you might never reply since it's been two years but I feel like I needed to say my piece.

2:43 that honestly could've been capitalized upon more. A fight sequence with odds against the pyro and him coming out on top to a remix of the Rocket Jump Waltz could've been done and not some quick jumpcut.
Honestly, I don't think the creator had the skill level or confidence or time to pull that off. Yes, it would have been epic. But it might have been beyond them at the time. And you could always imagine the fight in your head.
