Canuary 2024- The Cheat Code for Easy Grape Jelly!

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 25 ม.ค. 2024
- Welcome to my last contribution for Canuary 2024! Today I am going to show you the easy way to make jelly, FAST! Yes, you can use your own produce and extract the juice, but it's super simple to grab a juice and skip that step altogether.
Today I am using organic grape juice, plus Pomonas Pectin to make a no-sugar version, but you can also use sugar for a low-sugar jelly if you have that on hand.
This year for Canuary THREE Canners are being given away! Two are the new pressure canner from For Jars, one coming from Leisa, and the other directly from the company. They are also adding in several prize packs, and Leisa is taking it over the top with a steam canner this year too! Who is ready to win?
To participate, all you have to do is watch each of the Canuary videos posted throughout the month, and give us a comment! On January 31, Leisa will pull a winner from those who complete the playlist LIVE! How fun is that?
Here are the channels and dates to watch for that are participating in this collaboration.

Thank you Leisa
Happy Canuary, Leisa!
Thank you for putting this together!!
Happy Canuary Leisa
Same to you, Leisa!
Thank you again for all that you do! 🙌🏻
Your tiny helper is adorable. She’ll be canning up projects on her own in no time!
I love short cuts-especially when you still end up with an awesome product. Thank you!
I think it’s wonderful that your children are so involved with you in the kitchen. Our 3 year old grandson loves to help can things. These things make me happy for future generations to learn life skills like this.
Perfect recipe and process for a first canning experience. I love that your kids are involved with the process. Thank you for participating in Canuary and sharing your knowlege.
It's called the curse of knowledge, when, as a teacher, you underestimate the depth of knowledge and experience that actualy goes into a "simple" process. So many details, but you made it simple and stress free by giving us a great way to practice. I was so overwhelmed last year, my first Canuary. How wonderful of you to remind us of how beautifully simple canning can be. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! I appreciate the thoughtfulness.
Hope to see you back soon, and good luck tomorrow in the drawings!
As a grandma of 17 who frequently has helpers, I loved watching your children help. Love homemade jelly and love watching the next generation learning.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I hope to have that many grands, or more, one day!
Thanks for watching!
You have the best, cutest helpers. I love the fact that Pamona's pectin does not require the amount of sugar used in other pectins. I have learned so much from everyone participating in Canuary 2024. This is my first year participating, I look forward to many more years of canning our hearts out.
Thank you so much!
Thank-you for being a part of canuary. This jelly looks great and I love that is a small batch. Thank-you Lisa and 4 jars for sponsoring canuary again this year.
It is so cool that you can make jelly from commercially packaged 100% juice. Putting this on my list as a quick way to make jelly without the mess of juicing fresh fruit. Thank you for being part of Canuary. Also thank you Leisa and ForJars for sponsoring this!
I love making grape jelly! I’ll be making 180+ jars for my son’s wedding in October for favors. Thank you for taking your time to teach. I love your helpers!
That’s amazing and what a beautiful and loving thing to share! Congratulations to all!
Thank you Ms Jill for demonstrating this easy jelly made with bottled juice. Many ideas of other juices to use. Thank you ForJars for sponsoring along with Suttons Daze for also organizing this wonderful collaboration.
This looks good. I have picky eaters but I think that they would enjoy this. Thank you for participating in this wonderful collaboration. Thank you Leisa and For jars for sponsorship. Blessings
We love grape jelly too. And thanks for being a part of the canuary collab. Thanks for jars for sponsoring and thanks sutton daze for organizing another great collab with a wonderful line up.
Great video, I remember the days I would hang out in the kitchen with my mom. Making memories with the kids and canning grape jelly, good stuff. Thank you for your participation in Canuary 2024.
I make jams with many different ingredients found here in California, but often the ingredients are not available. I made a wonderful pomegranate blueberry jam with fresh pomegranates, but then I needed more so I purchased the juice, like you did here. Both fresh or purchased juice works, so I understand your thoughts. Another thought, you are correct that jams or jellies are a perfect way to get started. I have been jamming for years, but 2023 I finally took the plunge and tried to can other items myself. Thanks to Leisa, Forjars, and all of you for helping all of our families out in America learn and assist each other. What a tribute to American women!
Thanks for the easy grape jelly recipe and thanks to everyone in Canuary. Thanks to Lesa and to ForJars for all the great prizes .
I still remember as a child (younger than 5), cooking with my mother and grandmother in the kitchen. My grandmother would cinch up one of her aprons to fit me, and anytime there was flour involved, she'd put a little flour dot on the end of my nose. It's amazing what we remember from our childhoods, and your youngens will remember as well.
What a beautiful memory! All of my kiddos have apron, and so do I, but we often fail to put them on. 😬
Thanks for watching!
It's so wonderful to have children that are interested in helping in the kitchen.
Your little helper and all your children are so calm and well behaved and adorable! Thank you for this video!
I can't say enough how much I love Canuary. The recipes are amazing. Thanks to all the collaborators, Leisa @SuttonsDays and Forjars!!!
Hi Jill - I was just commenting to Leisa that when I watched your video last night, I was so struck by your explanation of why you selected this recipe to film. Your thoughtful generosity touched my heart. My Mom taught me to can and we started gently with tomatoes. She wanted to explain each of the safety steps so I would build my confidence. It was the same sentiment you expressed, learn how to use the tools so you are not afraid and you have success. Thank you for your contribution to this wonderful series, including the reality of sharing your kitchen which includes having the 'little's' participate.
Wow…four jars of jelly is a perfect size for my home. I don’t have access to grapes so this is the perfect solution, grape juice!!! Looks like an easy recipe. Thank you for participating in Canuary! Thank you Leisa and ForJars for sponsoring!
Thank you for this low sugar recipe. I’ve made grape jelly from homemade juice and wondered about using a commercial bottled juice.
Thanks for all the information and canning practices we need to apply whenever canning. Thanks for participating in this collaboration and thanks to Leisa and ForJars for sponsoring Canuary 2024.
Very good idea. Even if you don't have grapes or another fruit still a way to can jelly and control your ingredients. Thank you for this amazing idea. Thank you Leisa and For Jars for sponsoring 2024 Canuary.
I just love little helpers! She'll likely be canning by 4! The way everyone pitches in makes my heart smile. Great job, everyone!
I think this would be a great DIY for diabetics! Thanks for your participation in Canuary with Leisa and For Jars!
Love seeing your sweet little helpers along side learning to preserve at such a young age. These are memories that are simply priceless.
You are so kind. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed you doing this video, especially for new canner. It gives confidence and shows that making homemade jelly does not have to be a complicated project. It's so much cheaper to do this instead of buying jelly at the store with preservatives that you can't even pronounce. Thank you for explaining everything and for the couple of tricks you used. A big thank you also to Leisa for keeping Canuary going that is our tradition. And thank you to FORJARS for sponsoring the fun also!
Great shortcut using store bought juice - can't get any easier than that. Wonderful to have grape jelly in your pantry to make a classic PB&J. This year's Canuary has had such a great variety of recipes! Thank you Suttons Daze and ForJars for your sponsorship.
I love grape jelly! Thanks for sharing the recipe and the process! I especially appreciate the tips regarding the dripping juice! Thanks to Leisa and For Jars for sponsoring the Canuary 2024 collaboration!
What a fun time in the kitchen with your helpers. They will remember doing this with you when they are older.
Happy Canuary everyone! Thank you for being a part of this collaboration! I am so very thankful that all of you creative, wonderful people could come together to show us more great canning recipes.
Making jams and jellies will ALWAYS take me right back to my granny’s kitchen. It’s my favorite thing to make and share. Now that I think about it I don’t have grape on my shelf. Time to make some!
I have been canning for awhile now but I have never made jelly from juice. My grandchildren will love this and one of my daughter in laws has moved back from Florida and wants me to teach her how to can. I think this would be a great beginning for her to build up her confidence and learn. Thank you so much for your collaboration and your little helpers. ❤.
I love how you involve your kids! I am 70 years old and just started to learn how to can around 1 1/2 years ago. I have recently made several kinds of jelly but not grape yet. Thanks for sharing!
Loving the Canuary 2024 series and even as an experienced canner I have learned things. Grape jelly is my husband’s favorite. Thanks to Leisa and ForJars for sponsoring this year. 💕✌️
Love having a simple, easy jelly made from juice! Thank you for participating in Canuary 2024!
This was a surprisingly fun video. I love it when you see children enjoying helping out in the kitchen, and it's obvious yours have been doing so since they were able. A back to basics recipe with good and thorough instructions. Canuary has been wonderful at not only bringing new recipes but great tips and techniques as well.
Quick and easy recipe to add to our shelf. Happy Canuary! Thank you, Leisa, For Jars and all the collaborators! This has been another fabulous Canuary!
Look at those sweet children helping Mom! Great job!
First of all I love how your kids listen so intently! Great project for beginners! Especially not having to filter seeds and skins!
Oh thank you so much ffor participating in Canuary. This is the best collaboration on here.
Oh good a Pamonas recipe! I have some that I need to use up. And we love grape jelly. Your kiddos are adorable. Thank you for taking time from your busy family schedule to participate in this awesome collaboration.
My mother made grape jam, back when I was preschool. When my guys were little, I made plum, mango and strawberry. Now I can make grape jelly for my grandchildren. Thanks!
Every Canuary I make a “wish list” of recipes to can. I usually end up doing about 10 of them every January & some in February. Homemade Grape Jelly is definitely a good starting point.
Thank you for participating.
Another fabulous addition to Canuary 2024!
I'm enjoying all of the Canuary contributions so much! Thanks to you, to Suttons Daze, and to ForJars for such an inspiring and instructive collaboration. ❤❤❤
I did this type of jelly over the summer. It is so easy to have jelly for the kiddos! Being a fairly new canner it does make it to allow addional canning experience and fun too. Ths Canuary collaboration has been great with loads of information and recipes to increase your stock pile on the shelves. Good luck to all! And TY!
I really enjoyed watching the little ones helping with your recipe for Easy Grape Jelly. Using honey is a nice added low/no sugar tip. Very well done! Thank you for sharing this recipe!…another Canuary 2024 January recipe….and Thanks to all other colabs, For Jars and Leisa at Suttons Daze for sponsoring.
I love that you have your children helping. Teaching them from the beginning make this a way of life for them! This is a nice alternative to the long process of making the juice first. Love it!!
You are so kind! Thanks for watching!
Thanks, making grape jelly with juice is a great time saver. Appreciate everyone sharing their recipes and tips during Canuary. Thanks also to Leisa and For Jars.
It's great to see little helpers in the kitchen. Great way to teach the next generations
What an easy way to make jelly. Thank you for the recipe. Thank you to all the contributors, Leisa, and Forjars.
Thank you for thinking about what people may feel they need to learn in order to take that first step. As well as building good habits from the beginning, like not skipping steps. And thank you for sharing your family with us, I'm sure your children will love their memories of helping you in the kitchen.
You are so welcome! I think it will be fun to watch in 20 years. 💕
Thank you to everyone that has shared their videos for this Canuary collaboration. Love using Pomona's!
Wow, this seems like an easy and quick recipe. Always keep 100% juice on hand. I've never used Ramones. I've seen a couple of ladies use it. I'm going to order some and try it, being a diabetic I try to use less sugar. Thank you for participating in Canuary as well as all the other ladies. Thank you, Leisa, and 4jars for bringing everyone together and sponsoring Canuary.
This is actually perfect to watch for me right now. I had made grape jelly with green grapes that were getting soft. But my daughter wants to pack a PB & J sandwich for a music event using purple jelly. So she wanted me to buy a jar. Making it this way would save me the time of using actual grapes but give her a purple jelly that is better for her than the store bought jelly also.
Great helpers you have there! I've never made jelly from store bought juice. This looks so much easier than using fresh grapes. Thank you for taking part in Canuary 2024!! ❤
This looks fantastic! Thank you so much! I can't wait to try it. Thanks to all who are participating in Canuary, especially Leisa and ForJars.
HAPPY CANUARY! I enjoyed watching you make this grape jelly. It probably wont be something I will make myself but I'm sure you've motivated others to do so. Thank You for being a part of Canuary 2024!
I've learned a lot from you today! Store bought juice is a great idea. I love to see your children are helping, that's wonderful. Thanks for your valuable contribution to Canuary and thanks to Leisa & For Jars for sponsoring this awesome learning event.
Thanks again Jill.
Thank you Leisa and ForJars for the collaboration
Love Grape Jelly. Love watching your kiddos involved in the kitchen with you. Thank you for sharing and being a part of canuary.
I love the idea of easy jellies. I have made some with Welch’s 100% grape juice and my grandson loves it. He asked his mom why the one they bought didn’t taste this good. I did use sure jell low sugar pectin which worked well.i am going to use the Pamona pectin this time.
Thank you and all the ladies who are showing us so many recipes and building the newbies like our confidence.
Thanks Leisa Sutton!!!
So glad your Cannuary 2024 video today is grape jelly using the Pomona’s for jams and jellies. I just thawed and juiced my frozen grape harvest from my Fall harvest. I was going to use the Pomona pectin so I am ready to roll with your healthier version. Thanks to Leisa, Forjars and you for all your time and effort.
Thanks so much for posting this video. As a beginner this seems like a great way to practice all the steps of water bath canning. Using the store bought juice makes the ingredient list simple too. The Pamona's Pectin sounds like a wonderful way to use less sugar & still get great results. Your videos have been super fun! Thanks for participating & thanks to Leisa & ForJars for sponsoring Canuary 2024 & for inviting such great participants!!!
I make grape jelly from the grapes I grow and always use Pomona's Pectin. Thank you for going over the whole Pomona' Pectin process that I don't believe any other of the presenters have so far. I feel it is a really benefit to all new to canning.
I love that you demonstrated that you can can with super basic things! It can be very overwhelming for beginners thinking they need expensive equipment to get going
I love seeing your children in the kitchen with you. I bet they will grow up to be great cooks and expert canners.
This is a great chance for beginner canners with a simple recipe to wet their appetites for canning. Thanks for thinking of this and joining this collaboration, great inspiration.
I love your little helper! I can tell she just wants to stir that pot! Beautiful memories for her ❤
My kids use to love to help when they were younger but as adults they are not so much interested but I have been fortunate enough to get an amzing daughter in law who loves to help with canning and my grand daughter as well loves to help. Thank you for sharing
Love grape jelly. Brings back childhood memories
Thank you to everyone that has shared their recipes for this Canuary 2024. I’ve met so many new friends 😊. Thank you to Leisa and for 4 Jars for sponsoring this.
So sorry I missed your live video, have been ill. Pomona is great, Leisa got me hooked on it. It’s great to make your own jelly from juice. Love the way the baby is interested in what you’re doing, lol. So adorable. Thanks for sharing and being part of Canuary 2024.
I'm so sad that this collab is almost over. I have gotten tons of ideas from all the presenters. I've been canning for well over 50 years and still learning.
Your kiddos are adorable. And I love that you have them help with the preparation. What a way to keep Canning going in the future. This is a super easy and simple recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for a wonderful video. Thank you for being part of the collaboration. This is my favorite part of the month.
Grape jelly just might make me the best Grandma ever, Thanks so much!
Happy Canuary! I enjoyed this video. Thank you Leisa and For Jars for a wonderful Canuary, 2024.. Julia
Easy, sweet , and simple recipe. Thank you for contributing to Canuary 2024
Thanks for sharing this. Recently I've been doing easy things with my 7-year-old granddaughter so she could enjoy and not be overwhelmed with the process. This is happening! Thanks Jill... Love your helpers too!
As a child, I used to make grape jelly to enter into the local fair. Won a couple of blue ribbons. This makes it so easy! Thanks for sharing.
So I learned jelly is made from juice! I love that Canuary has brought me new recipes, new channels, and new friends 🧡
Girl, you do such a wonderful job with your little ones hanging out with you.
I made grape jelly and juice once. Some local friends let my husband and I pick as many of their concord grapes because they would just go to waste. It was so delicious. You could not tell the difference from Welch's. Thanks for the wonderful video.
Did you just show us the easiest canning recipe ever? What a great beginner video. And Pomonas Pectin is the ONLY way to go!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I AM one of those new canners! very new! What a great idea to practice with something more basic to get the skills learned and, as you said, something that isn't expensive ($$ or your time and effort to grown/harvest). I wouldn't have thought to use honey to sweeten my jelly. Great idea! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us!
I LOVE the details of your video. WOW you are excellent... Thank you so much for taking part in this collaboration. I am so thankful to Lisa for doing this and for all of you ladies that are presenting a lesson. Thank you. Feeling so very Blessed. AND Encouraged.
Thank you for being in the collaboration this year. I really enjoyed watching your videos! You have the cutest little helpers! Loved that you shared a low sugar option for jelly. We keep grape jelly on our shelf because that's the only kind of jelly my grandson will eat.
What a Great idea!!! Thank you so very much for your time and your video!! Thank you, Suttons Daze and ForJars, for this wonderful collaboration!!!
Jelly from juice is a great shortcut, and it is certainly an easier way to deal with grape jelly than starting from grapes themselves.
Thank you for this video! I've always wanted to make grape jelly from juice in jars! Now I have the inspiration! Thanks to Leisa and
ForJars for sponsoring Canuary 2024!
This is game changer! I don't need 8 to 10 jars of grape jelly taking up valuable space on my shelf for our small family. Thank you!!
I love simple recipes like this! I can make something on the spur of the moment and not have to decide if I want to go through all of the work to prepare whole fruits and still be able to get a sweet treat on the shelf for my family to enjoy.
I love making jelly out of juice!! But your video was extra special just seeing your children wanting to be in the kitchen with you and helping!! I loved why you sweet little girl was pretending to stir!! Thank you for a fun helpful video!!
Love that you showed an easy way to make grape jelly and no sugar added, thank you for being part of Canuary
Thanks for participating in canuary! I’ve canned many jams with fresh fruit, but keep buying grape jelly from the store because my kids love it. So glad to see this is simple and it’s definitely on my list to try!
Love your helpers!! So awesome to involve them. Love seeing mothers allowing their ‘help’ instead of shooing them away. Love the idea of using not from concentrate juice to make jelly. Thank you!
Thank you for being a part of Canuary. I love grape jelly. Thank you for sharing how to do it so easily.
