@krocksinthekitchen this was just was I needed! I am trying to gear up. Potatoes last days but dinners were wfpb compliant and not potatoes. I need a full roll out!
In case you didn’t know, the way your husband looks at you is so telling how much he loves you and respects you, You are a lucky woman and I love watching your videos. You guys are so inspiring.
Sharon Johnson -- That is truly what draws me back. These two have a great balance of love, acceptance, and humor. They support and challenge one another. ♡
I am on day five & it’s going really well. My goal is to break my sugar addiction 🤞🏻. I have not lost any weight but that is is not my primary goal. I need to regain control over everything that goes in my mouth. Thank you for inspiring me
I C Change Sugar! I’m addicted to sugar. I’m glad you mentioned that. I have no problem staying on a healthy, plant based diet. When I’m able to go a few days without sugar then I start loosing pounds right away. I want to stop the sugar!
Laura Skorczewski I will just keep going & soon my cravings for sugar and processed foods will subside I have faith in the process. Thank you for the support and your feedback I am grateful
Yes I’m doing a Mary’s mini. I really enjoy doing them. I use rice as my starch and I do a stir fry most days. Sometimes it will be Asian, sometimes Korean baroque spice, salsa, with lots of zucchini, onion, garlic, cabbage, green, red, yellow, orange peppers, mushrooms, so I try and vary the spice pallet from Mexican to Asian to Italian. So happy with this plan. I find it so easy to transition into while food plant based
My mom and I did the Mary’s Mini with you guys and I lost 11 pounds and my mom lost 9 pounds. We both have missed fruit and oatmeal and it tasted so good this morning.
@@KrocksInTheKitchen HEY, I can give you an AWESOME analogy to go along with that. Imagine yourself inside of a balloon. It is easy to say, I will just stretch the line a little today, and then I will bounce back and stay on track...but every time you do that the balloon becomes a little more stretched. Eventually the elasticity of the balloon has given way and you can go further and further -- without feeling like you are pushing it. UNTIL... the balloon is so damaged it pops and everything is out of control. That is what happens when we have 'stretchy' boundaries. It is my worst problem.
I learned about this concept that some people are abstainers (all or nothing) and some are moderators (can have a little then stop) and may switch depending on the situation. Gretchen Rubin talks about this in her books on happiness. I'm definitely an "all or nothing" type when it comes to most foods! So I can certainly relate. :)
Might sound strange, but I am sick of thinking about food. Think about it so much during the day. There is more to life then food. I know. Anyone else think or feel this way? I mostly eat whole food plant based though.
I found some freedom by not worrying about taste. If I make something and it's blah, I put something like a little sea salt on it, or a squirt of lemon, hot sauce, etc. to dress it up a bit and eat it anyway. I think we get too wrapped up in taste. I am working on eating to live, not living to eat. Industry has trained us to "crave that taste" whether it's for processed food or our own food. As long as the food doesn't repel me, I eat it. Once I am full, it's history anyway. Recipes and planning our shopping, cooking, tasting, seasoning, etc. takes up too much of my head space. I am learning, like Jessica, to just throw some things together and hope it's at least edible. Sometimes it's a pleasant surprise. Or I keep it simple with a fruit and maybe some noodles with vegetables in it.
Lynn Proctor I have always been obsessed with food & to be honest probably always will be. You are right : eat to live NOT live to eat. I do wish I could just get a break from it. I am WFPB too & it definitely helps ...
Yes, I feel the same way often. I am thinking to do the 30 day Spudfit challenge, just so I don't have to decide what to eat. The decision is already made: potatoes.
My husband and I did the Mary's Mini - we are on the last day too. My husband lost 12 pounds and I lost 8 pounds. We bought a Breville air fryer and a Griddler, which helped us a lot in preparing the potatoes and vegetables. We mixed ketchup and mustard together to make a salad dressing. I am looking forward to having an apple tomorrow! LOL!
Once the initial pain that prompts a change your lifestyle has subsided, it's much harder to stay focused without the sharp point of discomfort prodding you along. The "Moderation in everything" and "Oh, a little bit won't hurt" are messages you'll hear from other people and even tell yourself, but the reality is both of those are slippery slopes. I'm working to get back on my WFPB adventure after a couple of planned outings this weekend, and it's so encouraging to see your struggles and successes on this adventure. Thanks so much for sharing and your transparency. God bless you both!
Gwen Vann veggie soup is easy many recipes are on TH-cam.I make vegan style with carrots celery and onion chopped with a few cloves of garlic sautéed in 1/4 cup olive oil for 3 minutes add all your favorites mine is Zucchini and green beans mushrooms fresh parsley spinich fill the pan up to 4 inches from the top with water and simmer for 45 minutes....If you want serve on top 1/2 cup cooked rice do not put it in the soup or it drinks all the liquid and you end up with rice peloff.
Jen Howks video will still be available on Sunday. (The Summit was free but the replays only last until 1 pm the next day, so 1 PM EST on Sunday. She talks about the dynamic between the pleasure trap and the ego trap. I think you would benefit from hearing it. It is the dynamics we go through.
Congrats, Krocks! You're inspiring me on my weight loss journey. Recent bloodwork after 3 months of plant based dieting ( getting more compliant as my veggie repertoire increases) has been greatly improved. A1C is no longer in prediabetic range and my cholesterol is down 16 points. Woohoo! Thanks loads and congrats on successful Mary's mini 2!
Gretchen Rubin talks a lot about what Mary mentioned - where some of us are good at completely doing without, and "depriving" ourselves, and she calls those people "Abstainers". "Moderators" are those who can have a bit of a treat, and then eat sensibly the rest of the time. Someone (like my husband) who can keep a chocolate bar in the cupboard for months (!!) and have a nibble now and then is a Moderator. I think I could be an Abstainer if I really tried - I do well during Lent, when I'm committed during a set period of time to not having this or that. :)
Not doing Mary’s Mini, but doing my own thing to cut back and loose some weight: I’ve found myself fixing simpler meals too. Potatoes go with so many other veggies. Steamed brussels sprouts taste great and tick off so many pluses. Beans, yum. Even a bowl of rice with a few condiments hits the spot. You guys are so good at explaining your thought processes. You are both reset now, well done.
Thanks for addressing the need to stay focused on the goal of good health. It is hard to follow the "soft line" and easy to revert to troublesome habits. Love you guys :) Appreciate that you share your resources.
Wonderful video, as usual. I teach singing at the University. I have a student who came to to me at the beginning of the semester with chronic infected ears so much that she couldn’t hear herself sing and was singing out of tune. I asked her to give up dairy and she began singing well and has lost 10 pounds! Incredible.
Jessica, Thank you for reinforcing exactly how it works for me. Black and white I can do, blurred lines always lead to eating the unhealthy choice for me and so on. Thank you for showing how falling and getting back on can really look if you accept it, talk about it and move on to what you know is best for you. Love you both!
I am so glad I did the Mary's Mini 2 Mary Strikes back with you guys. I learned a lot about my relationship with food and I totally related to the hard line versus soft line/moderation stuff. I lost 7.5 pounds in 9 days! I love that you guys are opposites, it gives a nice balance. Keep up the fantastic work!
It's time for me to do a Mary's Mini or something hard line. I'm stuck. 10 more pounds would put me at my goal. The goal at which I used to feel best. It's been so long. It's time to once again feel my best. Thanks!
YAY!!! We did it with you. Jessica I lost exactly the same amount as you 4.6 lbs. My husband lost 7.5 lbs. Thank you for doing this. I had gained back weight eating homemade soy yogurt, and other tofu foods, because one of the doctors said this would help my hot 🥵 flashes. Instead it made me gain the 5 lbs I had just lost. So I’m very happy to have lost it back.
My theory about dealing with the "hard line" vs "the soft' is that the hard line is easier because a person's pallet DOES NOT get excited by flavors and tastes. In other words, the flavors and tastes do a real number on us---weakening our resolve. That's why I keep my diet very simple when wanting to lose weight. Actually, it helps me in that it can be soothing when I drink something special, like coffee, to accompany it sometimes. IDK, that's how I handle it.
Did the Mary's mini with potatoes. Limited myself to 8oz of potatoes per meal. Lost 2lbs in 3 days. Next doing rice. 1c. per meal with plenty of veggies. Can only do 3 days at a time. You guys are brave!
Congratulations on the great results and successful completion of Mary' Mini, the sequel - ha! Thanks for being real, sharing the successes and the struggles, and for staying with the WFPB lifestyle. You are inspiring!!
I haven’t done the Mary’s Mini but you guys have inspired me to eat whole food, plant based and I’m so appreciative. I love your recipes and product reviews. So far I’ve lost 4 lbs in a month and I feel much healthier.
Oh I love you two! I dont know how I stumbled across you but I will be forever grateful I did. I was inspired and quickly found myself living this lifestyle. I'm 6 weeks in and feeling kinda blah. I'm still adjusting but know that this is what Mother Earth intended! I cant imagine eating any other way. Everything you said in this video really resonated! Thank you for sharing yourselves with 💜💜💜
The biggest take away was the "I am in control of what I eat." I am currently struggling with my own "peanut butter cups" and attempted to follow along with a Mary's mini. It somewhat backfired and I went into the vegan nugget zone (dun dun dun). But guess what, I can eat healthy choices today because I want to! Thanks for another great video and being so inspiring!
Haven't Seen You Guys Lately And I Can Really See A Difference In Your Appearances. Your Faces Are Slimmer And Better Proportioned. You BOTH LOOK GREAT !! You're Getting There ! I'm Going To View This As Well As Your PREP FOR MARY'S MINI Video, in Preparation For MY OWN MARY'S MINI, Very Soon. I've Been Told That IF I NEED A KNEE REPLACEMENT I'll Have To LOSE 30 LBS.! More Weight Aggravates The Knees, So The Dr.s Require The Weight Loss. Thanks For All Your Work Trying To Help Us As Well As Yourselves. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH !!!
Awww that's brilliant! You guys are flourishing! I'm so glad you realise you are in control Jessica. Please remember that in the tough moments. If anyone can do this it's you. ☺️
My friend and I have been doing a Mary's mini and I am down 4 lbs. We will finish on the 17th. I think it has made me more creative. I am always more creative when I am limited. I used to teach some healthy cooking classes at the local elderly community of people on a fixed income. They would each bring one thing and the next week I would make them into something that everyone would then eat at the next class. I loved it and so did they. Sometimes I added a few of my own ingredients but they were really suprized as to what could be made with a mish mash of ingredients. They also learned that they didn't have to have a lot of money to make nutritious food.
Your comments about the process were very interesting and useful. Sounds like you're teaching yourself about successful maintenance, probably the most useful learning on the planet. I really like Julieanna Hever's approach, she has been one of the most influential vegan professionals imho.
Thank you Krocks!! I just started Mary's Mini, today is day #2! You both continue to inspire me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the awesome videos and recipes!
This would be hard to do if one had a family. But if one is single, or has a spouse/partner who is on board I can see where it might work fine. My physician is also a good friend and fellow plant based person and she said I have to be careful to not stress my body since I have chronic blocked bowel syndrome, and doing just a potato diet would be stressful But I am happy for those who can make this work.
I have a husband who eats eggs and meat (very occasionally, I'm working hard to make him WFPB) and two kids who are vegan but obviously can't eat a mono starch diet with no healthy fats etc (they are 7 and 11 so, nope) plus I have a metabolic condition which means I can't eat any of the plant protein foods and I have to limit the rice/potatoes/sweet potatoes as it is because of the protein. I did 9 days and it actually made my life much more simple because I basically made meals for the family and I was eating the "side" dish (made a curry, or a stew etc) obviously that isn't the same for everyone but it really worked for me 🤷♀️
Congratulations on your weight loss. This Mary's Mini was interesting. You look so healthy.... and slimmer... In every video you post I learn more about appreciating the power of food to make us look and feel better. I am mostly plant based now and enjoying the benefits of lots of vegetables..
That was tremendous success with the mm.....I was doing the plant based which I needed for my diabetes and life got in the way. Lost my husband. Then lost my mother. And 94 yr old dad now living with me who wants pork or beef three times a day. Now the veggies just do not appeal to me and I'm having trouble. Got to figure something out. I need a good salad dressing or something. By the time I cook for him I just eat whatever. I need to watch prep some for me. I am trying. Just not successfully at the moment.
Something like a Mary’s Mini helps me reset those hunger cues in my body that in general are broken. When I’m feeling like I can’t control my cravings, pairing down my options for a few days helps me get back to where I am eating for fuel, which I think is healthier. Usually 5 days does it for me, it’s not long term or meant to be long term in my case at least, and it’s less about weight loss and more about getting in tune with what my body needs.
Congrats Krocks! I've got potatoes, loads of frozen veg, moved the frozen non-mini foods to basement freezer and just have a few more fresh fruits and oat groats to finish eating up. Watching your videos this time around has been helping me envision my first go at a Mary's mini. Thanks for sharing your adventurous journey. :) I'm starting on Monday cuz that's my weekend and I won't be staring down the vending machine at work. (My greatest weakness!)
I've been doing Mary's Mini as a reset, too. I've also been reading a lot from Dr. Dean Ornish. Check out Rich Roll's podcast where he interviews Dr. Ornish and his wife, Anne Ornish about the WFPB lifestyle. It's so inspiring!
I actually thought of you both yesterday when I was listening to Ray & Penn discuss the circadian rhythms, moderation factor & of course the PB. Their work with Dr. Klapper is extremely interesting as well. You would be perfect for TrueNorth sometime in the future. You also remind me of Julianna & Ray with your subjective/objective perspectives & when you speak to that it covers the entire dynamic so beautifully. Ultimately, knowing the why, making that the key motivator, moving consistently toward health at every opportunity & not necessarily running away from fat/weight will reap the best life. The weight loss will start to become a natural side effect of living a life of loving yourself as evidenced by your daily decisions & not a main focus for anyone.
Good job!! You two are lucky to have each other. My husband loves some of the SAD so that stuff is still in our house. 😬 Keep sharing and can’t wait for some more of your cooking shows!!
I did the Mary’s Mini with you and I’m down eight pounds. Very happy since it’s my first time! Only struggle was missing other food like HUMMUS, rice and beans. Other than that it wasn’t too hard. What’s your favorite barbecue sauce or do you make your own? Thanks for all you do! Love you Guys!
Started reading these comments. They go on forever. WOW. OK, I am on day 10 of MM and am down 6#. But I would like to get into the next 10# group, so I have 2.5# to go. I may have to extend this for 4-6 days to get to that goal. I am eating potatoes with vinegar & caraway seeds and semi cooked veggies in veg broth. I plan to eliminate the seeds and increase the green leafies. I really miss legumes and fruit. I was getting lax on eating fake vegan foods. It's been easy to stop that, with these strict rules and limited length of time. Thanks for the inspiration and setting a good example.
Congratulations to both of you. I have decided to do the Mary’s mini as I have hit a plateau. Do people continue on the Mary’s mini? I liked the video and subscribed. I have watched you guys all Morning .... thank you
Well done Jessica and Brian! 🎉 I haven't done a potato diet yet but I love watching your videos and new recipes. I also enjoy your sensible approach to food and meal planning. I feel I'm learning so much and I'm even transitioning my own attitude towards food. Keep up the good work, it's much appreciated! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I'm so used to smoothie fasts now that it became my go-to reset, which has similar benefits. Kudos to you two for eating potatoes for so long without getting sick of them - I would! But then again, many would get sick of smoothies, too
I really resonated with the description of the hard and soft line. I agree that my lines get blurred and then I'm more likely to make excuses or eat willy nilly. I'm adopting the starch solution right now for the first time and I'm keeping it super basic. And I'm finding easier to just keep it simple. Potatoes and non-starchy veg is the go at the moment.
Damn those soft lines! I have been doing Mary's Mini for going on 14 days now and I am losing at 3ish pounds a week. It has quite literally saved me from the binges. Simple frozen hashbrowns and veggies FTW
I find it easier to do hard lines as well. Moderation just doesn't work for me. In fact, a full on water fast for 5 days is easier for me than trying to eat small amounts of foods that are addictive (cookies, cakes, chocolate, etc). I found my worst snacking happens in the evenings, at home. So now I have decided not to eat at all after 5pm. I take in all my daily calories during breakfast and lunch. This stops the evening snacking completely, and I've been losing about 2lbs per week. I sleep better also.
Chef AJ's The Truth About Weight Loss Summit today had a speaker Jen Howk and she went into personality differences and this process. She said that there are genetics to things like conscientiousness and that if someone scores low on that - meaning they don't have the genes to be conscientious, abstinence will be disastrous for them and that is the truth for me. She talked about the studies that show that it is genetic and that you can't change that part, but that is where you need to know which type of person you are. I do know that I am not conscientious. I struggle to maintain a schedule and with other things - so I do things with more margin. A physical example would be that I have an eye condition where I don't have depth perception, so I need to put an extra few feet between my car and other cars while driving and I need to park further away and in wider spots and other things. My brothers and father could measure depth perception well enough to spin a car out in our small driveway on the snow in the Winter to help park it facing out. I would have hit the house. 100% chance. Anyway, listening to that woman caused me to think about the hard lines versus soft lines. I need soft lines. I would not succeed at all without them. Four of my coworkers could not succeed without very hard lines.
Congrats! My birthday is Friday (yes Valentine's Day) and my husband surprised me with a trip to see my sister in Chicago so I'm going to relax with them and start a Mini on Monday!!
I'm not vegan, but my weight loss has been stuck for the last 4 months (after quite easily losing 35lbs counting calories). I think I'm gonna try a Mary's mini now... 😊👍
I'm with you, Jessica. I can do the hard line, but when it comes to adding in this or that, I go too far, and justify more fatty foods, and flour foods. Congratulations on the weight losses. You're inspiring.
Boy are you right about the “soft lines”!!! Another thing that Penn Gillette described in “Presto” is about not saying you will “never” eat this or that again. That is so true! If I tell myself “never” it makes me want it all the more! He says to have what you want on the “Rare and Appropriate” occasion. I really like that approach and feel that is reasonable. Unfortunately, I don’t always stick to the “rare and appropriate” when it comes to snacks. I LOVE chips & salsa. I buy Trader Joe’s Unsalted Tortilla chips but they are still processed and have fat. If I make my own baked chips with seasoning and no salt or fat, I can actually have them in limited quantities. I get lazy! The Mary’s Mini is starting in a few days for me to get me reset and kickstart the weight loss again. I only need 20 lbs to reach my “arbitrary” goal! Thanks for the inspiration to get back on it!
Actually boundaries give us the true freedom we crave. This applies almost everywhere in our lives. To have a great marriage you forsake other sexual relationships, to get fit you forsake lying on the couch too much etc. Sorry I'm preaching to the choir! Hugs.
Mary's mini was created by Mary McDougall, the wife of Dr. John McDougall. You pick one kind of starch (potatoes, rice, quinoa, or beans), and eat only that plus vegetables for at least one week. No oil, no fruit. Always the same starch. You can prepare the starch how ever you like, but just stick with the same one. It makes your food kind of boring, and helps reset your taste buds to appreciate whole plant foods.
That is interesting. I am the opposite. I have trouble sticking to hard lines. Whenever I have tried, I have ended up not being perfect and I have a sense of failure and give up. This Whole Food Plant-Based journey, when I "go off" it has been for a few days or a week or two at the holidays, but as long as I keep watching videos every single day, I come back.
You both have inspired me to try a Mary's Mini--I have been WFPB for 3 years, lost 115 lbs & reversed Type 2 Diabetes--but I feel the last couple months I have been eating way too much PB & nuts--they are satiating and a quick thing to grab--but I feel I could do better & when I eat say a PB sandwich, instead I could eat something much healthier(said baked potato) Anyway Thanks for really going through your experiences for us--very inspiring & motivating!!
I’m doing the potato mini for 14 days, on day 12! I have had ups and downs but I cannot wait until my final weigh in on Friday morning! And I agree.. I am sooo looking forward to that first banana!
Perhaps you might try doing a Mary's Mini maybe two or three days per week, to help stay on track and feel in control. You don't have to do it for ten days straight, you can decide when and how long. Part of the "control" that only you have over food. I know, easier said than done. I've been dieting since I turned 12 year old, so that's 61 years. I know how to diet but I don't want a diet, I need a lifestyle I can live with for the rest of my life. I am still searching and experimenting. We can only do the best we can.
Hi there! Good job! I love your channel! Truthfully I don't watch to lose weight but to learn about a plant based diet. I now love following your story!! Fun, inspiring and entertaining! And yeah for podcasts! Love those too! Why not? Interesting info on the go!!
If you haven't heard of Bright LIne Eating she discuses the addiction part of food and the hard line boundries you have to make of flour sugar and portion control (Susan Pierce Thompson)
YAYYYY!! BRILLIANT VID YOU TWO!! Congrats on the weight loss too!! This vid hit home with me and I thank you two for sharing❤ I also get in my head way to much. Ugh!! Looking forward to all that you share.
I also find that hard line is easier. I have found too that certain foods, although healthy are triggers for me. It's easier to binge on these or overdue it (almond butter is one for me.) I also have this all or nothing mentality that I'm working on. If I'm not 100% compliant (even if it's one tiny slip up) I feel like my day is blown and I might was well eat this, this or this and start over tomorrow. I known you've talked about the same thing. It's a struggle but being aware of my triggers and what works best for me such as sticking to that hard line has been a helpful on my journey.

Great job y'all!
You should try the Mae Ploy Thai yellow curry paste with potatoes sometime. Vegan and oil free. Yummy!
Can you make a video on what you ate on the Mary's mini and did your husband eat the same thing on the Mary's mini that you did jessica

I just hope my husband looks at me the way Brian looks at Jessica.
so true !!!
Yes! That’s what really drew me in to watching your videos! He looks at you the way Colin Firth looked at Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones’ Diary!

You did not trick me into watching the whole video - I watched it because I enjoy you two! ❤️
Awww thanks 😊
"None" is easier to handle than "some" of certain foods for me!
Yes I’m doing a Mary’s mini. I really enjoy doing them. I use rice as my starch and I do a stir fry most days. Sounds great
My mom and I did the Mary’s Mini with you guys and I lost 11 pounds and my mom lost 9 pounds. We both have missed fruit and oatmeal and it tasted so good this morning.
That is so awesome! 😃 Thank you so much for sharing!!!🙂
Looking forward to Brian's future cookbook...!
Thx. I don’t do soft lines well either. Probably the majority of people don’t.
Great weight loss, guys.
Thanks Irene! Yeah, I really liked the way he put that. It doesn't fix it, but it helps to make sense of it.
That line resonated with me so much! Feels like my mind has been blown, I had never even thought of that
@@KrocksInTheKitchen HEY, I can give you an AWESOME analogy to go along with that. Imagine yourself inside of a balloon. I could never skip to the end. Jessica is so enthusiastic & Brian is so easy going & has a great voice. Very inspirational. As always...thank you.

I never skip to the end! Love the whole show 🥬💪🏻🥬. Press on!!!
Wow! From this end this MM venture flew by! Congrats on getting through another one with great success.
Thanks! It went by quickly for us too! Of course, last time we extended it to 18 days LoL!
Wonderful video, as usual. I teach singing at the University. I have a student who came to to me at the beginning of the semester with chronic infected ears so much that she couldn’t hear herself sing and was singing out of tune. I asked her to give up dairy and she began singing well and has lost 10 pounds! Incredible.
Mary’s mini will be done tomorrow 😊 down 5lbs super happy about that. Definitely needed that reset!! Thanks guys!!❤️🌻
Great job to you both on your weight loss! Excited to see more recipes. I lived off Brian's Chili for a good month. It really satisfies!
I agree. I have the most control of my life when I have power over food. It’s a great feeling when can give your cravings the middle finger!
Thanks!
Go for it!
Do dr G hyper nutrition
I love Dr G! She is amazing. I assume you mean Dr Brooke Goldberg? Or Dr Gregor.... Also amazing.
I did 10 days and lost 4 lbs.
Good job!!
@@KrocksInTheKitchen thanks! Good job for you guys too👍
Congrats! I hope to do as well
My theory about dealing with the "hard line" vs "the soft' is that the hard line is easier because a person's pallet DOES NOT get excited by flavors and tastes. In other words, the flavors and tastes do a real number on us---weakening our resolve. That's why I keep my diet very simple when wanting to lose weight. Actually, it helps me in that it can be soothing when I drink something special, like coffee, to accompany it sometimes. IDK, that's how I handle it.
I love Brian’s voice...
You two seem to have the sweetest marriage. You're SO kind together and I love seeing that in your videos. Many blessings!
We do have a sweet marriage. 😁 But we have our conflicts too. 😆 We both have strong personalities.
I took along Brian’s chili frozen in ( ice cream scoops) on our 3 month winter RV trip. It was so easy to warm up.
☘️
I agree with you 100% Jessica - doing a potato reset / MM always makes me appreciate something as simple as a banana so much more.
I love this video... I'm actually about to start my first Mary's mini tomorrow 😀
*update* finished my Mary's mini and am down 13lbs!
I haven’t done the Mary’s Mini but you guys have inspired me to eat whole food, plant based and I’m so appreciative. I love your recipes and product reviews. So far I’ve lost 4 lbs in a month and I feel much healthier.
Control, empowerment, appreciation! 👍
I do vegan OMAD and started slipping. You brought me a lot of inspiration. Thank you!
Bravo! You reset taste buds, lost more wt, & reinspired us all! Thats a win-win! Yay😎👍
Love your videos, but need closed captions please.
Thank you for sharing yourselves with 💜💜💜
Thank you very much! Keep up the great work! It will get better. 😀
Y’all are so stinkin sweet! I’d never skip thru any of your video! You are both awesome! 💜💙
Congrats on Mary’s Mini and the weight loss.
WoW!!! Thats really fantastic on the weight loss you guys! Big kudos to ya both!
My husband and I just had this conversation, Peanut butter is a gateway to MORE peanut butter!
Your skin is glowing on the both of you!
You two are the best, and so inspiring. Thank you!
Congratulations ! You are such an inspiration to so many people! Thank you for sharing!
In this video, Brian's skin and overall health looks very good !
I absolutely agree! 😀 Thank you so much commenting. 🙂
Congrats on making it through! Thanks for recommending the science and saucery podcast, right up my alley!
I did the Mary’s Mini along with you guys and this has been by far the BEST ever! Thanks for the inspiration ❤️
Thank you for doing it with us! It was a lot of fun getting everyone's updates! 😀
Awesome! We will have to give it a listen! 😀
Love you guys! It sounds like the reset worked for you. Will have to check out the Mary's Mini.
Looking forward to your recipe videos. Thanks!
Good job!!
You two are lucky to have each other. My husband loves some of the SAD so that stuff is still in our house. 😬
Keep sharing and can’t wait for some more of your cooking shows!!
They are lucky, right? I live with 2 sads. I guess it has made me stronger.
So glad you got back on track!
Congrats on the successful Mary's mini. Jessica you are such a sweetie, totally relatable. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations to both of you. I have decided to do the Mary’s mini as I have hit a plateau. Do people continue on the Mary’s mini? I liked the video and subscribed. I have watched you guys all
Morning .... thank you
Well done Jessica and Brian! 🎉 I haven't done a potato diet yet but I love watching your videos and new recipes. I also enjoy your sensible approach to food and meal planning. I feel I'm learning so much and I'm even transitioning my own attitude towards food. Keep up the good work, it's much appreciated! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you ❤️❤️
I'm so used to smoothie fasts now that it became my go-to reset, which has similar benefits.
Congratulations you guys! Another inspiring chat💜
Listening to the Penn Gillette podcast right now, sooo good!!! Thanks for recommending that! 😀
That's such a good point on not needing every day to be a recipe and keeping it simple. @plantifulkiki also does this SO well. x
Awesome! Have fun in Chicago and good luck on your mini! 😃
Love it! Great job and I soooooo relate. I can't handle freedom! Hard lines are easy though.
So true!!
Actually boundaries give us the true freedom we crave. This applies almost everywhere in our lives. To have a great marriage you forsake other sexual relationships, to get fit you forsake lying on the couch too much etc. Sorry I'm preaching to the choir! Hugs.
Makes me want to try the mini. Not sure what it is. But really appreciate you two bringing this forward and this honest review.
It makes your food kind of boring, and helps reset your taste buds to appreciate whole plant foods.
beans? I'm pretty sure that's not a choice. Look back at recent Krock's videos about "Mary's Mini"
Thanks for reminding me of the fact I have the control
If you haven't heard of Bright LIne Eating she discuses the addiction part of food and the hard line boundries you have to make of flour sugar and portion control (Susan Pierce Thompson)
YAYYYY!! BRILLIANT VID YOU TWO!! Congrats on the weight loss too!! This vid hit home with me and I thank you two for sharing❤ I also get in my head way to much. Ugh!! Looking forward to all that you share.
I'm planning on doing my first Mary's Mini and your tips are so helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Good luck! Let us know how it goes. 😀
