Current S21 user here. Best phone i've ever owned hands down. After 2.5 yrs as my daily driver in 2024, even with the battery life and overheating issues, I'm still thinking twice on whether its worth upgrading to the current S24 series.
Get s23 bro. S24 is back to exynos. There are no exynos models in s23 and it's pretty affordable now if you trade in your s21. You'll definitely appreciate the upgrade
Still using this phone to this day. Just got upgraded to One UI 6.0. Plastic back? Less weight and fits in the pocket........Newer phones are just cameras with a phone attached, LOL. Was looking for a video on this phone for 2024, was not disappointed with your review, thanks!
@@kingofthe_hotdogslol8754, they may not always automatically update. Sometimes you have to make the phone itself check for updates. It's in the Settings.
The S21's battery is still so good. I got my S21 over a year ago and its been through hundreds of charge cycles, but the phone still get about 7½ hours of SOT which is really good.
glass just adds cost, we lose grip and end up having to spend more to cover it so we can hold onto the phone. I think a textured back is the move so we have a grip on the device in our hands.
Agreed. I used to have an S10 before upgrading to S21 in December 2021, I always have the tendency to protect my phone at all costs since the S10 was basically a glass with metal sandwich. Now on the 21 is still with me and even dropping it makes me feel assured since it have a plastic back
I have s21, by far the best phone I ever bought. As someone who only uses their phone for Spotify and some social media, it's great. It's still fast and responsive even with Android 14.
As far as software support, I'm pretty sure that the S21 series are supposed to be getting one more Android update to Android 15 and then they will most likely end there plus a couple of years of security updates. From what they announced in 2022 that starting with the S21 phones, they will be giving four years of Android updates.
So far my problems with my s21 1. Battery drains fast 2. Phone overheats 24/7 3. Either the battery has started to expand or the heat from the phone has started melting the adhesive and the back has started coming off 4. Screen has started to burn in Im gonna buy the s25 plus when it comes out
Mines is good on battery with the energy saver on lasts all day with medium usage. Perhaps just replace the battery. I couldn't see any reason to upgrade to s24
Battery drains faster after 2 years. They always do that so we have to buy new phones. They fuck with the os system on purpose. Apple got sued for that in 2017! They all do it.

@@QuickBread I never thought of myself as well off. Maybe I'm just wasteful... Lol Phones are like toys. But they aren't as impressive year after year like they once were. So Its time to stop wasting that type of money

Whatever you do, DON'T BUY IT UNLOCKED! In the used market, buy it that is locked to YOUR carrier! I got the plus version, and it performs extremely well, the cameras were absolutely amazing, and everything you have dreamed of. However, here is one problem. THE SERVICE. I barely had any 5G. I always have LTE, and if it does have LTE, it barely works. It says it has LTE Cat20, but for unlocked it probably has like Cat6. Sometimes I don't even get service. That's just sad, because it's such a very powerful phone, and if it did have good service, I would still be very happy with it. When it did have 5G, it was very fast 5G, which was at least good. The battery life was all right. It was used, so it's not the best. I got a Pixel 7a, but I hated that one, because it's basically a ChromeOS phone, not an android. The service was just a little bit better. I then got an A54 locked to T-Mobile, and the service is AMAZING! Just don't get unlocked phones, because they are not worth it. Also, try getting something new, not used.
