I did a full nut and bolt strip down rebuild over the plandemic which cost me about £2000. The engine 117,0000 miles had 165 PSI exactly on every cylinder when I vacuum tested it. I up-rated the suspension and brakes and a few other little tweeks but the body and running gear were fine and dandy.
RX8s aren't bad cars. They just have bad engines. They're actually a well planted platform, they handle really well lol. Swap in a better engine and you got a solid car

The ge head apparently has better airflow than the gte so that could be the case with the Supra but I feel like the seller would’ve made it clear it’s a ge head swap onto the gte.

Their Supra’s don’t even sell for that much and they are true JDM RHD with actual low miles (50-65k) that sell for about $60-75k (includes shipping and documentation). So we all have to wonder if ppl are just that dumb to spend high xxx,xxx prices to simply brag about an average non decorative car that could’ve been bought for way way less?! Lol.

The body kit actually looks really nice except for the weird ass rear bumper. Definitely some nfs u2 ricer vibes. The stock tires & rims, stock ride height, and poopy fitment kills it, even with it having a 2jz. Maybe he did part out his aftermarket stuff beforehand but probably not lol
Yeah man I'm not from georgia but where I'm from we don't have emissions tests or anything. They make sure your car isn't rusted and check your lights and horn for inspection up here lmao. Some of them will get under your vehicle and yank your tires around a bit to check your control arms/ball joints and suspension out, maybe check your brake lines and make sure they're not rusted out. But most of them just make sure its not literally falling apart and slap a sticker on it.
just for reference, the 12a rotary is what was used in the mazda cosmo, and SA rx-7 (the one before the fb). My old auto tech teacher liked fabbing them into motorcycles so there was always 12a parts scattered through the shop.
Georgian here. We only have 13 counties that even require emissions testing, and even those are super lenient as long as you aren't emitting too many bad gasses. Which it's hard to do. CEL=insta-fail though.

The rx8 is an amazing car, but a mediocre platform, you can't do much to the engine since it's tuned close to its limits, but the car as a whole is sharp and fast. Plus tax-wise, it's the best car ever made. Try to change my mind. LPG is kinda saving them nowadays too. Fan fact, lpg is the perfect fuel for a rotary, no carbon buildup and smoother operation makes them last a long time, and do so by loosing no power. Yup, I'm getting one, they're dirt cheap here.
The RX7 engine in the Trueno looks fine, it's missing the air filter from on top of the carb. I'm guessing the hood doesn't close with the filter on hence why he's removed the hood.
I dunno if you missed it or if it doesn't matter, but the Supra was from Hawaii, I'm fairly certain the market there would be different to the mainland and the rarity of Supra's might be a real concern, in my country we can't register any vehicle older than 6 years old for road use, so only the Supras imported decades ago are the only ones allowed to be used on the road, so they're ridiculously rare and extremely expensive, they don't go up for sale often, but that last Supra I saw go up for sale was a very heavily modified car with well over 100k miles, it was listed for 150k USD, and within a couple hours the listing was updated, the car was sold, that was a couple years ago and the car market here has also gone insane recently so I'm fairly certain people would want 200k usd as well for a manual turbo Supra.
Hawaii actually has one of the bigger JDM markets of the US territories due to it being easier to import cars there than the mainland. The guy won it in a giveaway and is trying to flip it for profit.

wider tyres don't actually give you more grip, they only aid in heat dissipation. the friction of the tyre is what gives you the grip and the equation for that is f=uw, f is friction force, u is friction coefficient and w is the weight acting on it. size doesn't change that equation at all. the reason wider tyres in real life give you more grip is in most cases they use a softer compound on the wider versions which will have a higher u value. so you want to check with the manufacturer that the wider one is made from a softer compound else you'll be carrying the added weight of wider wheels for no reason.
If you really want to ask yourself why on car prices, just look up 2nd Gen dodge cummins listings. People will really ask 8k for trucks that have 300k plus miles.

The supra has a GE head, you can tell quite easily by the short path radiator hose, as the GE head would normally have a distributor where the GTE heads top radiator hose is going in. Either he put a ge head on a gte block or he is a clown, regardless not worth 200k, probably the only supra in Hawaii though.

The purple supra he probably has the GTE Bottom end with the GE head because the head from the GE is the higher flowing one
