      If you look up tiny trak theres quite a few people doing this, you can also use lego tracks for more grip

    Nice! What I love is the simplicity of the design and minimal parts. Personally I would have chosen Lego tracks and wheels to further simplify the construction, ( they are only $14), but this is the designer's choice and I respect the idea of 3D printing as much as possible. Nice job.

    Man, center the camera in the chassis, make the tracks large enough to work wether it's upright or upsidedown, get the battery inside the chassis and boom 💥... Search and rescue robot small enough to get through piles of rubble after earthquakes.
    Cheap and easy to be used in swarms.

    Hi ! Just to inform you that I made one with the elements I had and with a Nodemcu in the back (Cause I can do what I want with the servos speed and add other stuff) ; I pilot it via wifi on my tablet. your model is very nice, thank you. Just a bit tight if we don't have the same hardware : mine has the nodemcu board above the battery and with a bunch of wires on top lol ! So, if you want to improve it, make it a bit bigger on top, a bigger hole for the antenna and even the lens, and with a plateform on the back if we want to put more stuff somewhere.

    • @dextersxxxxlab
      @dextersxxxxlab 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are on seperate channels, or he uses the left stick for the left track and the right stick for the right or he uses a mixerfunction in the transmitter but do not think this transmitter has any. Maybe the receiver has some mix function in it but not sure those exist. and an other alternative option could be using a vtail mixer micro circuitboard. just plug them in between the servo's and receiver and voila. now can also control it with a pistol grip transmitter.

    I just finished printing a miniature milk crate. Silly, weird, odd, cool. Will be printing tons of other silly things I suppose to get good enough, to print robotics and various other parts. No matter the reason, upon grabbing a burger and examining my creation, this vid popped up. Reminds me of the saying "It's a jeep thing you wouldn't understand", lol. It's a printing / electronics / maker thing, you wouldn't understand... Nice, I'm on this. So dig the mods to the servos, the whole thing. This definitly qualifies as Cool Stuff. Just saw your comment below, HAHA! YES IT IS COOL! Well your comment is above now and? Just saw Angus weighing in? Dude, if the Muse approves what more can you say?

    Thank you for sharing this great project. One clarification request...can you describe what adjustment you are doing at 1:50? Trimming the motor to find the zero motion point...then supergluing the trim adjustment knob? Your video is REALLY good...but could use some text explanations at critical points...connections at the 5:00 mark for instance. Anyway...thank you for sharing your knowledge!

    • @CoolStuff1

    • @dextersxxxxlab
      @dextersxxxxlab 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would be a very costly little tank. The printer will need attention now and then. printed parts need some trimming. need to prepare servo's and solder stuff. need to buy all that stuff needed. including a persons hours you face maybe 250 dollars? just a guess. pretty hefty price for a very fun tank that is just a gadget. would you be willing to pay that much? the fun is in building it yourself. and then still will cost you probably somewere around 50 dollars for servo's, receiver, batteries, usb charger board, camera. And then you must own a compatible transmitter.

    • @dextersxxxxlab
      @dextersxxxxlab 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are absolute right. I re-designed them and work much better. more flexible and more grippy since I gave them well spaced ridges of a few mm high instead of blocks with narrow openings in between. works much better and it runs smoother because the servo's do not feel as much resistance now
