    its certainly easy to get discouraged. I think its also important to remember conditions will effect things greatly and you won't be able to always go after your PB. I've also learned that just because a driving style works for someone else (maybe they are also in a diff car) doesnt mean it works for you. Keep your head up, keep having fun, fix that wheel bearing, and you do you =)

    still an amazing drive but unfortunate the dragging brake and wheel bearing delete occurred, Yet still at P2 finish! Making me want to look into doing time attacks at COTA...

    Yet another epic vid! Tip for the future: before filming yourself with front camera of the phone, go to camera settings and uncheck "flip the front camera image" or so. Now at the beginning you're sitting in a RHD car and all of the logos are horizontally flipped :D Great drive and what a sound!!!

    Not sure that federal Rs-r would be my pick for a fast tyre. They are only a 200 treadwear semi slick? Try AR1, R888R or AO52

    • @TougeTime
      @TougeTime  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Minimum is 220tw for class

    • @D4Z3Dii
      @D4Z3Dii 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TougeTime Ahh i see, make a lot of sense. I really liked the way the rsr feels, but it it way slower than the 80-100 treadwear class :)

    ayyyy @3:00 thats the same line I like through the final corners. It feels good to me in a fairly neutral MR car 🤷‍♂️

    Kinda want to get a spyder and mod it out now... but I have arachnophobia..... Jokes aside, thats a sexy looking spyder. I have but a few questions, is it possible to make a 2010 Toyota Corolla a sleeper or even just a track car? If not, then I think my best option would be going with a Spyder or something like that. IDK. I have never modded any car before, what would be your recommendations?

      @morganmotorsports4220 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TougeTime yeah Corvette was me. Everything was fine I had just installed a new intake manifold and didn't have a checkvalve in the right place. Gatorade catch can solved the problem for the remainder of the weekend.

    All of us in the group I was with were struggling too. Nobody touched their PB. The track felt kinda greasy all weekend. I have driven the ridge for a long time and it never felt so greasy before when hot.

      I didn't feel a grip probably compared to my old tires. But I think I also had less power due to heat soak

    I think you could really benefit from a 2arfe swap, i put one in mine with 4.6 gears and OS Giken 1.5 Way LSD and it is very fun and usable and can take heaps of abuse. Be perfect for what you're trying to achieve. 2zz is great but revs = wear plus heat and smaller operating window of torque for different corners. With a grippy light car like a zzw30 you can really make use of good mid corner torque.

    I don't know. If the brake was really dragging so much that you felt you had less engine power, wouldn't the brakes have completely overheated on the track at which point the sensation of having less power should have gone away?
    I would definitely change the lift bolts. I'm sure that this probably crossed your mind while you driving the car. Trust me from my own experience; that little voice in your head questioning whether or not the lift is a little weaker than it once was will not go away until you swap out those stupid little $3.00 bolts, haha!

      It wasn't like a seized caliper. It's slight deflection of the wheel. Mph on straight was noticeably less. Hopefully not the cam wipe lol.
