In this video, Emily talks about her design process, how she finds inspiration, and her many many attempts before a project with the "wow factor" is complete.
What a great video to explain the “ups and downs” of the design process. It’s super helpful knowing I’m not the only one who has to scratch projects that I was so happy to start. Thank you so much to helping up learn Emily!
As an oil painter of landscapes, I've been through many critiques. Just want to offer that the bunny and the cat can both be saved by fixing the values in the shapes. They are both gorgeous and I'd love to see them published!
That bunny was adorable. Maybe you could reconsider him as some of us are grandparents and love making for the grand babies!!! I love all your patterns Emily. Such a great mind and a great talent!!
I have been with you from the beginning, and your evolution with collage quilting along with your insight into your process is so interesting. I love how transparent you always are with sharing your work and struggle towards creating something that you love. Thanks for being you!!!
For those of us who preordered the petit rouge collection, could you send us the printed pattern while waiting for the rest of the order (the fabric) to arrive. I did order fabric but have an extensive stash of suitable fabric that could be used to start. Love your new format of tutorials.
I like the wasp!
love the iguana

I think that rabbit is fabulous and needs some tulips, and he would be a beautiful spring wall decoration!
I’d love to see some type of farm yard quilt, complete with barn, animals and flowers.
While I completely understand "fail categories," your fails are beautiful pieces of art. We are our worst critics.😊
That is true-- we are our worst critics!

Hi from Kentucky!
Love the iguana and wasp!
Could you describe what your “it factor” is? Trying to know in more detail why you didn’t like some of the rejects.
This is such a great question! It's really made me think hard about what the "it" factor is... I will try to figure that out so I can share it!!
❤the bunny! How about putting him with an Easter basket .. with Easter eggs & 🐣
❤️the iguana
