I caught that flex, Sean, lol. "4 million views per month like clockwork". But thank you and your team for all you do. This video was an instant click. Massive value and your podcast episode a couple of weeks ago with the man talking about titles compelled me to change my channel name to Mo Beats And Raps. Clear is better than clever. Thanks guys!!!
I learned that I need to niche down within my niche. My unboxings are doing very well but should cater to a more specific audience. Should I create multiple unboxing channels for each niche? Thank you for any feedback provided. Keep it Real!
@@RealLifeUnboxing I think if you do unboxings, you should just pick one that's performing the best right now and run with that one. If you're like me and you're not ready to hire a team yet, running multiple channels will be difficult. So my advice is to unbox one product and use youtube and google search to exhaust every possible keyword phrase within that product as possible.
@@Monev360 Very true, the security cameras have been performing extremely well. I just really do not enjoy them as much and also do not know how long I could do just that without burning out. Right now I post once every 2 days. Do you think I could spread those same 3 per week across three separate channels doing just 1 per week? Aside from Real Life Unboxing now I already manage 3 channels. If I split Real Life Unboxing into 3, that will be 5 and it'll still be roughly the same amount of work. Which is alot 😁
I have learnt that as you get better, things get better. The algorithm isn't in our benefit. WE have to be in it's benefit. If we aren't catchy, if we don't have viewers that stay, then we won't catch it because it's a business and they want people to WATCH. We have to give them content worth watching.
Thanks for the tip. Niche is king for YT algorithm to work for you. I was too broad initially then slowly find my niche. I got 10 subs in the last 6 weeks when I start to niche down and use keyword search based strategy. Experiment with YT shorts as well in totally unrelated niche and got all the views but no subs. After 3 weeks of that short experiment I simply unlisted all the Shorts and unrelated videos for my channels. That is when i have subscribers rolling in for my contents. I have to up the game with thumbnails and titles. As Sean always said “need to have 1% better with every video upload”. Views dropped after the unlisted of short videos but AVD increase and so as subscribers. Thanks again for the continuous YT education.
You’re so right about people blaming the algorithm. I could easily blame it but instead choose to try and improve on every video. Thanks for the consistently great tips and videos 🙏🏻🤩🎥
Great video. Well said. I know what's wrong with my channel but not sure what to do to fix it. I was doing repetitive content and lost interest in the topics. I know I need to change my content but my audience will not respond to anything other than males, trucks, and trucking.
Sean what is a good 'average view duration" on a 10 minute video for example. Is 4 1/2 minutes good? should it be a lot higher? Second, what's a strong CTR % once the initial spike climbs down, what's an average rate you would say is good or strong. thanks!
You make a lot of great points in this video. One thing I can’t understand is some of my best performing videos are the videos I didn’t try very hard to edit. I hastily threw them together just to upload content and they flat out did better than videos I really tried to make epic. I still want to make better and better videos with every one and strive to make each one better than the last, but I just don’t understand the analytics sometimes.
This is a interesting phenomenom‼️ i was just speaking on this on my last Live stream! It's wierd how content that YOU think is average performs better 📈 than videos that you DID put more effort in & expect to do well. ❓🙃❗
Yes I’ve been there watching video after video based on what YT recommends and 1 hour later I’d be thinking “how did I get here” 😂 Now I need to get YT to recommend my content instead 😅
Thanks, not sure how I found you but you're info is always very helpful! I'm at 894 subs since publishing my first video on October 6, 2020, growing organically! I'm working on improving thumbnails so I get more engagement and therefore more recommendations from the algorithm!
Thank you another great video! I wonder how the algorithm works with podcasts that cover different topics. I will be experimenting and see how that will work for me.
I cannot figure it out. I have over 200 workout videos and 413 subs. I think it comes down to my video quality. Once the videos become better more people will want to watch them thus they will get pushed more. Bottom line I need to get better.
Nuanced observation 🔥 Skill. Editing your own content for years and editing with a subwoofer REALLY teaches you about audio. So my distance from the mic, not hitting the table, etc - all come from practice and experience.
@@ThinkMediaPodcast ok cool! totally.. didn't;t mean to be a meanie! I thought maybe it was an effect that was applied! It's all good. I do love your content and keep doin' what you do!
What I need to see is a content creator that gets millions of views on every video do a tutorial on how they record their video, how they edit the video, how they come up with the thumbnail and title, how they choose keywords, and how they utilize the search engine optimization. Just telling me what I need to do doesn't help, I need to see it because I'm not that intelligent or creative. My content is horrible and I don't know what to do.
How does it work with live streams? Why does it promote larger channels streams before they even start and not smaller? There is no evidence that video is going to be better until they start! So old streams affects new streams?

@@RealLifeUnboxing What if you only unboxed security cameras? Those videos are doing really well for you

That's a nice quote from YT "The algorithm is trying to find videos to satisfy YT users.", quality content is king
Indeed
What I've learned is that, thumbnails matter far more than I thought. I'm still learning how to nail them, lol. HUGE THANK YOU, to you and your team!
Keep grinding Monroe! Tough journey at first but we keep improving.
Indeed ! Which thumbnails appear in my feed depends on my clicking
Amazing insights !!! Sean your grind all this years is admirable ! Love the content
thank you!
I love the idea of training your youtube algorithm. I love jumping on the home page and seeing all the videos I want to watch !
In my field, which is medical science, videos on controversial topics seem to provide more views, but also more trolls to vote the video down.
This is great advice. Def has helped me grow my channel by understanding the algorithm
Great insight! Thanks so much for Simplifying this! I have a new channel and watching for which videos are getting traction and will go from there!
Love it
Vertical gardening. Perfect analogy

They're incredibly informative! Love Think Media😍
Its a tough path but hey nothing is impossible. We will get there slowly with better content and more dedication.
You’ve really inspired me to keep going with my channel.,!

Thank you guys, can relate to many of the challenges ☺️
Thanks Sean. I will improve in my keywords

Couldn't agree more
Thanks a million for all you guys do. To those of us that's trying to figure it out, we're going to make it. I'm trying to master thumbnails myself.
Thanks same to you👍🏽
Inspiring as always!! You have simplified something most of us know bits and pieces about!! Cheers!!
I agree! Awesome content !

Well, I have started today, & I have to see what really happens by applying every tips from the think media team !
Thank you so very much!!!!!!!!!!!
JUST DO IT! DON'T GIVE UP!
Great video! 💪🔥
thank you
very helpful
I always double back to these type of vids
Thanks guys
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
Greeting to all the viewers out there.
Content creator, Thank you for uploading.
Thanks for the valuable tips! Very appreciative of your work Think Media!
this is another great podcast ! !!!
thank you
Good stuff Heather and Sean, thanks! All those example algorithm video titles sound like talks at Vidcon.

How I wish I could understand it very well to work for my channel
Thank you so much for these amazing tips🙏 I will implement them immediately, hopefully my channel will start growing
Let’s do this
You make a lot of great points in this video. One thing I can’t understand is some of my best performing videos are the videos I didn’t try very hard to edit. yep! :)

Well as much as I can agree that the algorithm can predict our behaviour but most of time I do have to search for the content that I want to watch 😂

@Spicy Punk Rocker Thanks man. I'll keep going. Just like anything else there are ups and downs as long as the overall trend is up, I am good with it.
Sean i love your movie references bro! LOL!
thanks!
Is it your own skill that there's no sound hitting the mic when your hand hits the table? Or does that mic stand absorb some of the shock as well?
Nuanced observation 🔥

Lmao that intro had me rolling
The glitch plugin is distracting.. Is your camera malfunctioning?
ya recording issues but we decided to put it out anyways.
Done is better than perfect :)

TH-cam COOPA hast tiled my channel. Everything is a fail, my subscribers never get infos that there is a new video, the algorythm is killed
you are a great teacher. Thanks for helping me re-invent my life through youtube #moderncitizentv

So basically it's J.A.R.V.I.S. or worst Ultron promoting/demoting our Videos 🤦🏿♂️😅🤷🏿♂️💯
stupid rules from youtube👎👎👎
5 minutes in and you never got to the point. Bye.
thanks for the feedback
