    This was my first time fitting a radio in a car and I had been struggling all day until I came across your video. Very informative and helpful, especially showing all the parts needed which the stereo’s instructions did not mention and no other videos I could find did either. Thank you so much, too content!

    Great Vid thanks, can you advise about the Menu set up , or do you have to get a head unit that is compatible.?

    So I'm gonna install a double din into my parent's 207cc, parts are ordered thanks to this video. Only thing different is that I'm using a Connects2 adaptor with an aerial and can interface built in. Saves me the hassle of multiple adaptors and ignition live leads.
    Only question I'm stuck with is about the possibility to place the old radio and tray back after cutting those tabs. Is it possible without the thing becoming too wobbly?

    The original radio controls the board computer. Does that still work with a new double din radio installed?

    Hello really helpful vid especially the power cable and where the fuses are. On my setup I also have an illumination cable (orange) but my harness dose not have a matching cable to connect it to, any idea where I connect this cable ?

      Orange cable is not needed on the install.

    Having a bit of trouble in regards to the dimmer wire after fitting the radio into my 207. There doesn’t seem to be a dimmer wire that attaches into the ISO harness? What colour wire would it be on the vehicle end and what colour wire do I need to tag it onto on the radio side???

    Hi, this is useful as I am trying to install an android head unit for my Peugeot 207cc. Do you mind sharing the ISO Harness Adapter and antenna adapter brand and the website link to purchase them? By the way, I am from outside UK i.e. from Malaysia.

    Nice vide explaining the instalation but two comments below stated there will be a problem with the central screen which is just above the vents which shows your cars stats (mpg, range and so on) as well as date time and morte. Removing original radio will prevent you from making any changes if needed to date time and all other setings. UNLESS the new 2din radio somehow does control this? Also, does the control stork by the steering wheel still work with the new unit?

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct the screen above won’t be able to be adjusted with a display interface adapter, these can be pricey so consult your retailer about this item.
      As for steering controls you would need a steering control interface which are around £40, again consult retailer.

    Hi PJ, I am assuming the existing headunit wiring already has an Ignition controlled switched +, so why is an additional one required to fit the Doubledin screen? Thanks

  • @Jook113
    @Jook113 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey! How do you know which speaker cable is positive and which one is negative? I'm going to connect after market speakers to the already mounted original cables from the car, but they all have different colors and they show the same voltage when tested with multimeter even though one (of the two cables per speaker placement) should be negative or earth. My after market speakers have a + and - connection, so I know the actual speakers polarity but not the cables in the doors. On the Peugeot original speakers they are just labeled as 1 and 2..

    Whats the maximun cm to the radio to fit in?. How many inches does that screen have. I will like to install in the same car model an apple car conpatible model but all the ones i've seen in the internet a too big for the measurements I did. Thanks for your time

    Thank you for this video! Im about to buy my first car peugeot 207 (2009). I am not a car person myself but want to get a double din radio / sat nav / Parking Assistance installed. Was wondering where to buy the unit? and if any local garage would be able to fit the unit. with the Parking Assistance camera. Thanks!

    Hi, I've installed everything as mentioned in the video, but I didn't get any red cable to connect at the fuse box. The problem is that the radio doesn't switch on, I've tried in another car and it does work. What should i do? Thank you

      Bit late on this one, but i bought an adapter that didn't have that wire. They're cheap and quite frankly shit. You can either run the wire yourself or buy a new adapter which is what I did.

    Hi, useful video however very hard to watch as you filmed at night. Ps everybody makes the same mistake. The fuse spur. You can plug it in two ways. One way your accessory is not fused and in danger or burning out the wiring however unlikely that is but that’s the point of fuses. You should check which side of the fuse box is live with a meter.

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as people insert it the same way around as shown in the video its fine. In the past I showed what was the hot side and ended up with more questions everyday than I could answer, so now All pleaple need to do is follow the video.
      As for night, yes it's early on winter morning and I'm thinking of pulling this video due to it annoying people. Sadly I don't choose when the cars come in.

    Hi PJ,
    Can the fuse box live red cable be connected through the original quadlock red-red/red-yellow, or does it have to be connected with a fused spur like you did on the video?
    I wired my head unit through the quadlock, however, I am having a problem with all the apps resetting every time I turn off the car.
    Thanks in advance.

    Nice Video. Does following this (Literally the radio I just bought) mean I could use the steering volume/track controls or do i need a different harness/adaptor?
    Thanks.

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You will need a more expensive interface to make the steering controls work with an aftermarket radio such as this one - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-207-2006-On-EONON-Car-Stereo-Radio-Steering-Wheel-Interface-Stalk/201125160881?hash=item2ed3fe67b1:g:nVsAAOSwFAZTvT54

    And now you will be unable to change the time and date on the screen in centre of the dash which is why I watched the video in the first place!
    U will need a connects2 box to connect the steering wheel stalk controls to the stereo,

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      With aftermarket radios only two sizes are sold,these are single din and double din. When you buy your aftermarket one make sure to buy a single din size because double din will not fit.

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In that case it has ignition connected to a delayed power off circuit. Your radio will go off but only after a few mins of the car being switched off.
