New to your channel. Enjoyed this video, looking forward to the next. Ive walked part of the Ridgeway and my fear of running out of water is high. Each litre weighing a kilo, its difficult to plan, sometimes the stated water taps on route are not always working 😮
Technical question Andy - in the shots where you walk past the camera - the camera follows you. I'm guessing you are walking alone so how do you get the camera to follow you?
David, I film those shots using a 360 degree camera. I just put it on a gate post and walk past. I don’t need to worry about where the camera is pointing, because it records everything. Then when I come to edit the video later, I can make it look like the camera is following me and discard the irrelevant shots.
Filming yourself walking all the time put me off watching the full video, viewer's want to see what you see not look at you, introduction being the exception.
Thanks for the feedback. Ultimately, these videos are a record of my hikes, they are not just a pictorial guide to a particular route, hence why I record myself actually walking!
Andy, I love your videos, i thought this was your channel to record what you please ,since when do viewers get to dictate ,crazy, having recorded my own hikes and camps , it is extremely hard and time consuming, people like yourself make it look easy, you keep doing what your doing . Look forward to seeing more.x
People like Abbie Barnes and Steve Marsh also film themselves walking. Maybe when your channel is as successful as theirs you can consider yourself an authority on what viewers want 😂

I expect the Canals Trust will be claiming to be environmentally friendly by leaving the towpaths to nature. Yeah!
