We've visited a couple of times in Summer months and the dry grasses and wild flowers are delightful. Interesting to see it stripped back in Autumn although the scenery and scale is still breathtaking. The drone coverage is great, offering that different aerial perspective.
Great video again and thanks for a loop that I’ve never done before, can’t wait to give it a try. Really informative and interesting facts along the way too! I met you and your good lady at Attenborough if you remember, I was on the bike and recognised you, great meeting you. Thanks again and look for the next one 👍🏻🌳🏕️⛰️
Thanks a lot pal. It was really nice bumping into you - thanks for stopping to say hello. Glad you liked the video, and hope you enjoy the route if you do it yourself.
Hi. Just stumbled on your channel. The lathkill dale walk just peeked my curiosity as just spent a week self catering in Over Haddon. I’ve never walked to Moneyash but am familiar with lower and upper Lathkill dale to Calesdale to youlgrave. Hope to watch some more as just subscribed. All the best Joe
Terrific stuff Leigh! Lathkill is my favourite dale in Derbyshire too. That walk back along the tops was fantastic, some of the best views as you say! Thanks for sharing, all the best 👍
Living in Norfolk, Derbyshire is our best place for walking. We did this walk several years ago. The first and only place we've seen a dipper. A magical place.
I might be biased, but while Derbyshire isn’t the highest place around, I truly believe it offers the most varied walks in the country. Thanks for watching! 😊
Hi Lee, the wife and I have recently found your channel on TH-cam and we've just watched your Lathkill Dale and Alstonefield walks and really enjoyed them, they're both areas that we also love walking as there's so many routes in all directions, we'll get around to watching your others in due course, but great filming and narrative, thank you and all the best, Steve and Jackie.
Thanks Steve and Jackie. I absolutely love the Peaks, so gald you enjoyed the vids. To be honest, I've never really taken this channel that seriously, but feel like I've found a bit of a groove recently. More videos coming soon :)
Those flipping steps in Cales Dale when i did a revisit video about finished me at the top lol Way to unfit. But I will be back out walking this week once my head fractures start to heal :)

Thanks... weather forecast said it was meant to be a sunny day. How wrong could it be. Still had a great day out though.
I walk it most years in the summer, but start from the 'bottom' - the prettiest part :)
Can't beat it in summer :)

Cheers Joe. So much to see around that way. Monyash is worth checking out if you are back up that way. Take care 👍

Thank you, Patrick. You have great taste in your Dale choice. Hope you are doing well :)
I should have guessed that you knew about Lee's channel Patrick.

Yeah, a steep climb out that dale that. You had a fall? On one of your walks? Hope it's nothing too serious.
@walkinderbyshire I had a blackout and fell down the stairs 13 steps decided to slap my skull. Very lucky to be alive the hospital said.
@@ukhikermarv sounds bloody horendous. Glad you are on the mend. Look forward to your next video!
Great walk and definitely one of the best dales, especially when you have it to yourself!👌🏻
What make/model of the torch you use?
Cheers - was lucky to have it to myself that day. I'm torch mad, so have many. The one in the vid is a Nebo Luxtreme.
Quite likely to see Dippers in Lathkill Dale if you are a bird watcher.
Agreed. A great place to spot a Dipper
