It's been nearly a decade since I first played MGQ and it baffles me that nobody has tried to make a full-blown cover of this theme until now. Rengoku-Teien (the composer) made so much amazing music and I was devastated to find their site went down; It's what prompted me to cover this piece. Hopefully you enjoy my take on one of the best battle themes of all time! By the way I kind of fell into a nostalgia trap while covering this and was reminded of the times when MGQ, Dark Souls, Touhou and Vocaloid were my whole world lol I miss my youth.

The devs somehow managed to pick like the best tracks for all situations from a couple of different music groups. Not sure how they managed it but every track just fits so well, especially this one. Rengoku Teien were just amazing

TBF- All of Ilias ‘allies’ were either created for the express purpose of fighting for her or intended to betray her. Or just didn’t really give a shit and pretty much got bribed.
But yeah, Luka took out like 70% of Ilias’s forces singlehandedly and was pretty much turned the entire war around by himself.

@@skell6134 Paradox is a ‘sequel’ to MGQ. The entirety of the plot of Paradox occured because Final Form Ilias(Look at what video you’re on) dying destabilized the ENTIRE Space-Time Continuum and you really ought to stop reading if you haven’t finished Part 2 of Paradox yet.
There are alot and I mean alot of references to the Original MGQ like the Newest Alipheese and Nero are the children of Original TL Luka and Alice, Heinrich being a berserk Angel Killer is stated in the Original, Mini-Ilias is literally the same Ilias as the Final Boss Original Ilias and this is actually an alternate universe because Chaos Goddess Alice obliterated the Original Timeline. Ilias being suspicious of Sonia also makes sense because she wasn’t in the Original MGQ. Seriously go play it, EVERYTHING makes more sense and there are so many jokes that only makes sense with the context of the first MGQ.
MGQ also does alot of things better than Paradox, like Luka being Half-Angel, Especially Luka being Half-Angel.

This game is an epitome of "Came for the 'plot' ; Stayed for the plot". And this track literally couldn't have been picked better, it just oozes the hype energy
you came for the porn, not the plot. Just say it! And yes, MGQ is the ONLY GAME (beside Deadpolka) where you LEGIT come for the porn and stay from the story as its SO DAMN GOOD. Shure i collected all scenes but didnt watch them realy (thats why skip is such a great thing XD)
This brings a tear to my eye....to see the fandom of this game still lives even after a decade....truely amazing.
I'm a sucker for good stories, no matter where they come from.
That said it's shameful that some non H stories have worse stories than some Hentai games.

Absolutely Beautiful, not the villan song , but the song of the ones that came so far and overcame so much to put an end to the cycle of violence and hate that one person put into motion, such a stunning peice
This is an amazing final boss battle... because it really doesn't sound like the theme of Ilias at all. It sounds so much more like a theme for the protagonists. It isn't the song about an abominable foe, but of the ones fighting her. It's hopeful and triumphant.

What makes me sad, is that the majority of people and media usually only views MGQ simply as an H-Game and focusses only in that part, completely ignoring the actual story that is a fucking blast and has many dark shit and actual good characters.

as a wise mgq fan once said, "came for the hentai, stayed for the story". this game has a story way better than most mainstream stuff that comes out nowadays. the hentai and banger soundtrack are also very good flavours added on top of that. 11/10, I don't regret playing it one bit.
Seriously. both luka and alice have suicidal thought, Erubetie and her slime, the noble granberia, the free spirited alma, tamamo do i really need to say anything more than tamamo, the religion aren't just merely evil for the sake of evil, the mystery, and probably the best thing about it is the pacing. I can't describe in short answer how awesome the game pacing is that no other game i have ever played teach the player so much into the game without thinking about it and that's make sense because before it is a playable game it is a visual novel with game element which mean every fight can be scripted in such a way that a game with visual novel element can't possibly do and they did it briliantly. This is actually my complain about MGQP is that it's a game with visual novel element which pale in comparison to the level of details the developers might not even be aware of to be possible.

Even with the final end credit story of how Ilias became the way she is, I still feel the whole light side is painted to be too evil, well, most of it is like child-like evil, which makes sense, but still 😩
But most importantly, Ilias, The Goddess of Light herself, is way too evil beyond her reasoning for me, she's beyond arrogant, mistrustful, manipulative, no cares of anyone, even her own subordinates/ people. I would love her story a whole lot better if she's evil towards monster, and even humans, but completely caring for her people (angels) & getting angry over many of them getting hurt.
Well, we haven't seen the Dark Goddess herself though, so maybe in this world, both Goddesses are just like that, extremist, intolerance leader.

She got too Into Racism against Monster girls thanks to her loneliness and also not able to interact her opposite side, while the Black God, The True Monster Lord, making children and allow them to diversify, though had an idea to interact with the Light God, Illias through primitive yet very important event that is doing it by procreation.
With no knowledge how did Illias made Male counterparts, she made her Monstergirls to only lay females and occasionally due to mutation defects, males, Probably in purpose of cooperation and coexistence despite unable to contact her.
But Illias did not notice that, all she sees are her humans are getting corrupted by the monsters, thus she made strict divine rules and also accidentally saving the word before Humans in Helgondo able to mix divine and chaotic energy, as we seen in Paradox, It would alter the history and create an anomaly full of Apoptosis, giving decay and uncontrollable chaos like it was an epidemic.
So In a sense, Illias destroying that City was for the good, if not accidentally doing it.
She is still the baddy though and she needs some correction 💢

Yeah it's a filthy H-Game but it has a pretty amazing soundtrack lol
While Monster Girl Quest is a degen H-game filled with weird shit, the game and especially the sequel and all its related content is one of the most insane, completely ridiculous verses of all time. It goes from weird H-game to multiverse spanning epic where you fight cosmic gods to determine the fate of all creation. If the H stuff doesn't make you wretch the games are really cool.
It's the one hentai game you can play for the plot

Another to me is saya no uta but it's more horror but it's by gen urobuchi aka the guy behind madoka which you know that's gonna be a good dark story.

A hentai game where you end up beating up a psycho angel that represented the judeo christian god as evil and insane being responsible for the game's conflicts....ended up being a phenomenally great game that lasted for a decade...
Both the original trilogy and as of now paradox part 1 and 2 impress me.
An H game with so much charm in it's non hentai writing with a story that actually makes you care.
Such an underrated masterpiece.

I was looking for a h game in a website. I first saw mgq and played in Apirl 2022 for the first time. In the beginning, it wasn't interesting. Later in the mid and late game, I stay for the plot than the h-scene. The music was fking amazing too. It won't be like the first time experiencing mgq.

MGQ is one of my favorite games I have ever played even though I was only just recently able to get into it due to age. It's a shame not that many people know about it outside of Japan because it's actually a masterpiece for RPG Maker standards, and the music in it is amazing. Yeah, it was a blast, my first H game where I focused more on the plot than the H scene itself. And it left me with a satisfying ending, which is rare for any H-games I played.
Spoilers:
Part 3 was only the part where I rarely intentionally surrender. I have no desire of even surrendering to those abominations. Admittedly I wanna pound those angels.
And Black Alice was a nightmare for me especially when I have no knowledge about her skills. I didn't know how many times I save scum and redo it all over again.
Illias was a only one where I am seriously calculating all my moves from, her HP is a beast. One wrong move and I'll do it over again and I'm very sure I ain't disappointing Luka in this fight.
The ending is good, and some rape endings you'll get in the final.

This is truly amazing. This song is hands down my favorite, even more than Final Requiem (Four Heavenly Knights) for just how intense it was, and you somehow made it even more intense with this cover.

Unfortunately I don't know any details regarding Rengoku Teien's music other than the fact that some of it was royalty free. I wish I knew more. Well... and now that part 3 of the RPG has been announced, which will be just like a pokemon (or fate, for those who understand) all that remains is to see what OST's will be with which Totoro closes his grand finale, given that after this the team said that they´ll only do small jobs and nothing to the size of MGQ saga (although maybe they´ll come back with something else in a decade, if we´re still around).

Since at the original trilogy, i cannot see Ilias siding at the monsters, no matter how lonely she is.
But the Paradox made her think twice and more compassionate towards them. Still a bit commanding but she's a cutie.
However i just simply get curious if Ilias Paradox would react fighting that was either herself or something similar to the original timeline after her death.

@@thehalo2guy638 Alternates. They are basically a demon that mimics the appearance of a human. It's from the mandela catalogue. There is an alternate that mimics the appearance the angel Gabriel and it gave me an idea of Ilias being replaced by an alternate.

@@Blockinstaller12 not entirely because the alternate faces are distorted and unnatural. Ilias' is just creepy. And the alternates being powerful enough overthrow Ilias would be a terrifying concept.

I played the whole MGQ last year and hopefully I can also play the MGQ Paradox 1 and 2 this year. By the way, first thing comes to my mind when I hear this music is that, it gives me some kind of a myterious motivation to beat Ilias into a pulp and hearing this cover makes me more hype upon hearing it. In which this makes the music and the game itself turn into a Legend.
And make anyone who plays MGQ shout: "QUADRUPLE GIGAAA!! DRILL!! BREEAAKEEERRRR!!!!"🤣🤣🤣

Generally I don't allow others to re-upload my music or covers unless they're covering it themselves (extensions and nightcore are not covers), and personally I don't see much of a point in extensions when TH-cam videos can just be looped. I mean let's be honest, you could even just convert the video to an MP3 using an online tool like a lot of people do, and loop it in your own music player if you wanted to. Maybe if my computer were stronger I'd make a separate channel for hour-long video extensions, but even a three minute video takes me about two hours to render at this point. I don't want to imagine how long an hour-long video would take to render. Thank you though, because I'm grateful for you inquiring about the extension instead of just making it and uploading it without permission!
