Unlearning a decade of playing baseball. Right handed left foot is always forward for power. Grenade toss just taught different. Though after training I returned to a normal toss just like baseball for some distance and power.
I was literally the only person in the tunnel smiling when they gave us the live grenades. Everyone else looked absolutely terrified! 😂😂😂 It made me remember this conversion i had with a teachers assistant in back in high school where i jokingly told him i wanted to work with live grenades. He told me "i think your insurance is going to be expensive"
Still gives me a thrill remembering the stress of that, fighting through the fear and still completing the task. Courage is not an absence of fear, it is the overcoming of it, said a much smarter person than me. To this day, and every day, I overcome fear and complete my assigned tasks. Regardless if it is a guy with a shotgun or doing what is right regardless of the consequences.

M67 grenade made like a baseball considering that many of young American soldiers know how to throw a baseball in their neighbourhood

It’s for better accuracy. It’s not for long distance throwing, but for clearing obstacles, and getting it on the other side
