Updates on RTS Link Johor Singapore Project Sites: Bukit Chagar Wadi Hana Johor Bahru Marine Viaduct Woodlands North ( Singapore ) Thomson East Coast Line ( TEL )
Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all a fantastic 2025! I hope you enjoyed this month's RTS Link update featuring both day and night construction progress, a glimpse into the history of SKS Tower, and exciting footage of track laying. For those interested, I have included a link to the Airbnb unit where I stayed and filmed the updates. www.airbnb.com/rooms/1227318789270472973?source_impression_id=p3_1724153204_P3-Hv9J3KoIqAnch
Happy New Year, uncle. May you & your family be filled with happiness, health, and endless blessings.I want to request to use your video. Keep up the good work!
JB will be greatly transformed rivalling Penang with the new developments in infrastructure and influx of tourists. Further away from the city centre, the authorities should think what some new attractions to be build to lure visitors to stay longer.
I agree! The developments in Johor Bahru are truly exciting and have the potential to rival Penang's tourism scene. The remarkable transformation of the former Pacific Mall, abandoned for over 25 years, into the impressive SKS Tower serves as a powerful symbol of JB's evolution. This revitalization is undoubtedly a significant benefit of improved connectivity with RTS Link
Nah Penang is racing ahead with the Gurney reclamation, LRT, new cable car and the Silicon Island. JB is definitely trying to catch up, but Penang is also pulling ahead
@@ridhuanrizal9696 Would be heading to Penang in the later part of this year to check it out. Looking forward to see infrastructure development in both Penang and Johor. My wish is for the authorities make Malaysia pedestrians friendly.
happy 2025! as we know Johor has officially switched its weekend from Friday to Sunday for the sake of its people in terms of their quality times and economy aligning with the rest of Malaysia starting today. there are a few key things you should focus on for this new year: 1) the progress update on the track laying works where its completion at the maritime border will become another milestone (expected to happen somewhere around 2nd half of 2025) 2) the update on the double-tracking works on the KTM line closer to the JB CIQ 3) stations progress at both bukit chagar and woodlands north
thank you for your excellent suggestions! In my future updates, i will place stronger emphasis on track laying progress, woodlands north and bukit chagar station designs, KTM double track work. i have recently observed the installation of catenary poles along the KTM tracks near Wadi Hana Depot, which will be crucial for electrifying the ETS trains. i will include an update on this development in my next update
I wish there would be a station which links to a shopping centre with a food court, many restaurants and shops selling Malaysian local products and outside the station, there would be a pasar malam.
there will be link bridges connecting bukit chagar to coronation square, komtar and JB sentral. pasar malam is a good idea, it is lacking at jb city center
Thank you for the suggestion. I do not drive, hence it will be difficult for me to film the kulai and kempas area. however I can cover the EDTP nearer to the JB Sentral section the next time I film the RTS Link
Here are a few ways to reply to the comment "JB from town to grow a big big big city": I am excited to see the growth and development of JB over the past few years, JB has a lot of potential to grow further
DTL started to show DTL4 Hume now on screen although the train doesn't stop at Hume station. Hume station was lighted up and I can see it during the train movement from Beauty World to Hillview stations.
I heard that with the RTS and Kranji Turf Club redevelopment, landed property prices nearby are expected to rise and are already trending upwards. Is this true?
The RTS Link and Kranji Turf Club redevelopment are expected to have an impact on the surrounding areas, including a potential increase in landed property prices. The RTS Link will make the area more accessible, new amenities could boost the appeal of the area and landed properties are generally in limited supply in Singapore
What I don't understand is, why doesn't the Singapore government just build a short MRT line from Marsiling station to Woodlands checkpoint? It's cheaper than building a new RTS link which also requires a checkpoint of their own to clear travelers entering Singapore.🤣

@@1changi not the most immediate priority - we love our cars. But Penang is very walkable, at least Georgetown.
I totally agree! make Johor more pedestrian friendly. More attractions within the vicinity with good public transport to these places.
