Looking good, brings back memories of my Army days, I was an Ear, Nose and Throat Tech (ENT), we did quite a few of these surgeries. 🙏 Speedy recovery, safe travels.
Oh man,. I was going to make all kinds of comments... but honestly, I wish Dave the best! I am sure it was hard for him to sit still for those weeks. Looking much better Dave!
I love this ❤️ I think it's awesome y'all document and video these surgeries. I appreciate them so much! And I'll be having my right knee total replacement July 1st and watching your videos have really helped me. God bless you both ❤️🙏
Yes Dave it is worth a case of beer . I had both eyes done for lazy eyes. I hope you get feeling better safe travels Rick and Pam from southern Ohio at Big Bear Creek family campground
Only Dave could come up with that comment on Beers. I think that is 2-3 cases per day. I need to have the same procedure done as well. Because, of you I think I'll wait. Good video. Best wishes for a complete recovery. See you guys soon.
That beginning was funny. Glad you guys are doing well. When I had my shoulder done they told my son they would call him when I was done in a half hour to hour, 3 hours later they called him, it was a lot harder than they thought.
Oh Karen, Dave deserves a stout or a fancy IPA instead of those blue collar beers! The things we put up with before we fix them!!! Since 1982 I have put up with slight curled toes after our motorcycle accident in which I had a bird cage, fiberglass cast, & a brace later on for over a year. 42 years later I still trip over my right toes from time to time as my tight tendons that never stretched back out again are still there. The remedy was to break all 5 toes to realign them, but chicken & tender finances is my middle name, lol. Maybe I never fixed it because old age caught up in 33 other places in my body, lol!!! We won't even go into Sheila's injuries during the same accident, however breaking her arm last winter should get all four of us a case of Ireland's finest. One day we will meet up with you guys & share a shot of Jameson, lol. Cheers, Davey & Sheila Knapp
You'll be glad you did it. Yeah, I learned about the extra stuff after the surgery. Ask them for eye drops so you don't have to go the store to get some.
WOW very informative and interesting...you two are medical miracles...between Karen's TKR and Dave's eyelids. Certainly appreciate your sharing this healing journey with us. This one was very evident of the differences between Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus when it comes to dialog and conversation for sure. Great job Karen & Dave!
Gonna have that done in about 3 weeks. Ptosis (droopy eyelids) in my case is causing vertical double vision because the eyelid droop is causing a "wrinkle" in the clear cornea which distorts the vision upwards, so as I approach a traffic light that's green, I see the real green light, but there's a fake image of another green light where the yellow is supposed to be. I have NO detail vision because of this, reading is mostly gone, can't read street signs, etc. Looking ahead with heavy dread and anticipation for this to do the trick with normal vision again.
Hope all goes well. It's tough when you can't read the signs. Karen just had a vitreous (liquid in eye) detachment from the retina. Her vision now has huge floaters and everything is cloudy in that eye. They say it could take months to clear up if it does at all. It's always something.
Hi guys.🙋♂️🙋♀️..you can say what you want but i think one of 2 things happen.🤔..you were on the top deck and you tried to come down that curly steps head first.😕..or...you learned not to make the lady mad.🤪...sleeping in the chair is a give away.🤗.I'm just saying..mean left-right..💥..either way ...we are glad your doing better...thanks for the video..J&A 2ofus
Looking better Dave. To quote my dad .at first you looked like you were shot at and missed and shit at and hit. But seriously hope each day gets better. Enjoy your beer 🍺
Good for you Dave, it will take time for swelling to go down….wait a min! Ya karen I think you should be the one paid in whiskey this time…all that TLC you gave Dave..😂😂
Well done on the video! I’m sending it to my dad! (I too have hooded eyes and am sure I’ll need this down the road… but my dad can’t see sh*t! 😜 Cheers to you both 🥃🍺
Give it time. Healing takes longer as you get older. I think Glenn Beck just had this done a few weeks ago and he didn't get back to work as fast as he was told he would. I've had six hand surgeries in the last 17 months and each surgery which were minor(4 trigger finger and 2 carpel tunnel). Typically 6 week recovery but at 73 yo I'd day it's more like 3 to 4 months and certain adpects of the carpel tunnel procedure takes months longer than that. At 1 year from the 1st carpel tunnel surgery I felt like the ability to do weight bearing on my wrist(like pushing down to get up off the floor), progressively got better every week/month. I don't regret mine at all. Having work done around the eyes would be scary. I looking at cataract surgery in the not to distant future. Safe travels.
You are so right. Things just aren't the same. I'm working on a welding project right now (future video) and it's kicking my ass. My eyes are good now and glad I did it. Karen had carpal tunnel surgery and trigger finger years ago and yep, healing is much faster. I know she's going to have to get cataract surgery eventually too. She's hoping she won't have to get the other knee done, but time will tell.
Good 😊 I know you had elective eye surgery but what the truth did she beat on you also this means you get 2 kegs when you can get well soon safe travels
Poor Dave , that looks painfull and uncomfortable, is it just me or would everyone else rather hammer a finger daily than have anything done to my eyes like that , hope your feeling alot better Dave , reward yourself a keg or two for this battle easily, I suppose its a no pain no gain situation with added beers 😊
I had that done maybe 10 years ago. Had it done while on vacation from work I didn’t tell the boss I was going to do it got back to work and he was about to send me to the Clinic that we got our DOT physicals done to me sure I was OK to drive but he never did. I didn’t bleed that bad and I bleed like you do. Had to do all of the things you did. 🫣
What an ordeal.. looked very painful but you’ve healed well! Here’s to a complete recovery. Great nursing Karen. All the best!
Thanks so much. All good now...glad I did it.
Get well soon, Dave!
Thanks, my eyes are doing great.

Me too.
Ouch 😢 you are one tough guy . That’s a hell of a recovery.
It really wasn't that bad. But I did have to wear sunglasses when we went out so Karen wouldn't go to jail. LOL
Wish you a speedy and full recovery my friend.
Thank you. It's all good and glad I did it.

Oh man,. I was going to make all kinds of comments... but honestly, I wish Dave the best! I am sure it was hard for him to sit still for those weeks. Looking much better Dave!

It's all worked out thank goodness. Vision is better now.

The eyes are good now and glad I did it. Just remember, the older you get, the longer it takes to heal.
Get better soon brother.👍🏼😎🍻
Doing well now, thanks.
Dave I had the same surgery about 3 months ago. All healed up and vision is wonderful. You will have the same in no time.
I'm pretty much there and glad I did it.
That beginning was funny. Glad you guys are doing well. When I had my shoulder done they told my son they would call him when I was done in a half hour to hour, 3 hours later they called him, it was a lot harder than they thought.
That is the worst feeling while you are waiting and everyone else is coming and going while you just sit there wondering what's taking so long.

Glad it's over with, and glad I did it.
I’m having that done in July…Yikes!! I haven’t been told about all that extra stuff you have to do. Looks like you are doing well now. 👍😎👍
You'll be glad you did it. Yeah, I learned about the extra stuff after the surgery. Ask them for eye drops so you don't have to go the store to get some.

A little eye shadow and concealer and you will be ready for the club
LOL. I'm ready for Saturday night fever.
I was wondering how many beers Dave wanted for the surgery. 😅
You'll have to go to the end of the video....a ton.
Good 😊 I know you had elective eye surgery but what the truth did she beat on you also this means you get 2 kegs when you can get well soon safe travels
She prefers to hit me where it can't be seen. Those 2 by 4 marks are awful...LOL
