i have, and im not sure how you can say undercover cops is better than gaia crusaders. UC is about as generic and shitty as it gets, if i remember correctly theres only 3 or 4 enemy types and all of them have shit animations that mostly consist of 3-5 frames per animation, which just looks terrible. on top of that, gameplay wise its just a generic beat em up with nothing to add. its slow, clunky, has hardly any character variety, and is all around a waste of time.
Some cool choices here. Up until I started using mame I never knew that Hook got a beat em up. I played a lot of beat em ups in arcades back in the day but I never came across that one. It's pretty good I think.
I used to play a lot of beat em ups too back in the day. At times it seemed as if the arcades were all beat em up machines and as a result I passed some good games over, going for the flashier machines like X-Men and Final Fight: i discovered these games and was really thrilled to have played them
I've never played any of the games mentioned in the video but they do look fun. I would highly recommend the Capcom Belt Action Collection from Playasia for the Switch or PS4 as it's known in Japan/Asia (physical version), in the West it's known as Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle and I believe is digital only, it's a compilation of Capcom arcade beat 'em ups with two never before ported titles making their console debut, Armored Warriors (1994) and Battle Circuit (1997). The Combatribes on the SNES is a good one to.
It’s an excellent bundle to have especially on the Switch. I’ve been meaning to pick them up. The Capcom Arcade Stadium collection is also worthy to pick up as well.
I do confess my only experience with beat em ups is beating enemies up in 3D games that are not technically beat em ups. All of these did look like they're really fun though.
I had such a good time playing these. That a really good idea for a video though Pink. An episode on the best 3D beat ‘em ups would fit into the Summer of Beat Em Ups!
Thanks for the video! You could read the script more naturally, but the game choices and editing are great. BTW, "Seiyen" is pronounced "Say-an," the same way as the alien species in Dragon Ball Z.
Am I the only person who likes Batman Forever the movie 😂 I recently found Oriental Legends on one of my retro handhelds, was really impressed with it!
Aw man, I've never heard of this Hook beat-em-up and it looks amazing! But no home port? That sucks... I've heard the Batman Forever beat-em-up was good but at those prices I guess I'll have to emulate... I think I've seen Undercover Cop before. Now that looks like pure classic brawler goodness.
They all have have their charms. The genre is so well populated that are several more out there that I missed. The new TMNT has reinvigorated the genre and it’s good to see it thriving. Btw what a great game that TMNT game is!
Why does the arcade use jump+attack for specials on beat ‘em ups? Umm they want your quarters you lose health when you do it. B boys rap special 4 life
I almost had to leave a dislike for you trash-talking Batman Forever 😂 great work on this video, though. Big Game Sack vibes with your editing and writing 👍🏽🔥
Have you played any of these rare beat em ups?
To be honest, all of them. I have a problem, send help!!! 😂

Hook was a huge surprise when I booted that up in mame the first time. Totally surprised by an actual good game
Right?!! I was certainly impressed
Great video, dude!! Some rare names in this list!! Pretty good channel too. Earned you a subscriber.
Thank you bro. I appreciate that . I had a blast playing these games
Undercover cops?
How can be obscure the game where you pull a big chunk of metal from the ground, and beat the hell out of people?
It’s a great game
Good video. Some I;ve never heard of and some I've played a lot of. Good variety here as well as synopsis of each. Well done!
Thanks gents! It was a bit tough choosing because there are still so many great beat em ups I didn’t talk about

Cool choices. I'm going to see if any of these are on my Pandora tabletop arcade right now...
If you play some, definitely let me know which one you like the best
Big Retro Show Nice one bro!, Can you please do your top 10 beat em up games of all time that be much appreciated
Thanks for the suggestion. Tough list to whittle down. I’ll have to do some good research for that one !

@@BigRetroShow I'm happy to have inspired you 😃
Keeping my fingers crossed for Undercover Cops to get an Arcade Archives release on Switch 🤞
That would be awesome

Good to know thanks for the feedback
only miss BLADE MASTER and THE CRYSTAL OF KINGS.
Might be interested in doing a part 2 and I’ll have to check those games out

Haha I am a 1989 Batman snob 😂😂 I haven’t played the sequel to Oriental Legend yet but planning to really soon. Thanks for hanging out bro
Im debating on getting that new TMNT game shreders revenge..
Get it!! It’s hella dope! It redefines what a good beat ‘em up should be

Batman Forever Arcade...I wouldn't call it good. It's not terrible but it's not something that leaves me wanting to play it again.
@@ENiceGeo Gotcha--pop a couple quarters in if we see it--but don't buy it at an auction!
What happened to Paprium? Is it forgotten? Cancelled?
Actually have never heard of that game until this comment. Seems they were working on it ?

Lol. These are facts I really can’t argue with 💯
Was batman forever made by same people as pitfighter there is something similar in the backgrounds and characters
Your production values are off the chain, Jesus
Thanks man, I like to take my time with the stuff I am passionate about.

Haha thanks Raya! That’s a really big compliment! I really appreciate that
