Good video. One gripe: 13:45 is not “Jack Brabham’s Cooper design”. It’s a factory Honda with a transverse-mounted v12 (roller-bearing crankshaft, power output from the middle). A very cool thing, but not belonging to Sir Jack.
The cool thing about the 50's is that you could just rock up and race, i believe there was an 115% rule * not sure if it applied every round or just the super long tracks like Germany* unlike todays f1 with all the politics involved.
Jeezus bloody wept, if you don't know the history by now then you're obviously not arsed! Thinking about that I needed to learn and be a sponge back in the early '70s so yeah, nicely done!
These were Giants upon which greats of my time, Senna, Schumi, Hakenen built, modern F1 is NOT a sport anymore it's been reduced to brand imaging and advertising!!! Just imagine a James Hunt bursting onto the scene today, I'd pay money to see that happen!!! Modern F1 is just a hollow shell of what made it great once upon a time!
After watching the 3 hour video of F1 history, this is exactly what I wanted! A deeper dive on each decade.
Thanks for this! Keep it up
Love this kind of history you post! Love this channel even though there are lots of trolls in the comments lol
Love this channel❤ good to learn about f1 history👏👏👏
JMF won with 4 different teams. Ferrari in ‘56. -U10
Fangio was champion with 4 teams:
1951 Alfa Romeo
1954 Maserati/Mercedes Benz
1955 Mercedes Benz
1956 Ferrari (lancia d50’s)
1957 Maserati

Giuseppe Farina won the first F1 championship. So Ascari is NOT known as the first Italian F1 champion.
😊

I did enjoy the video, but for some reason constantly starting back at 1950 kept confusing me.

Those Guys were awsome 🎉
Those boys faced death each week...😮they either won or died each week 😢
Fangio and Moss, two of the select band of motor racing's true immortals.

Sorry to be that guy but this could've been a little tighter, felt like you kept repeating yourself. Cracking idea for a video tho 👍
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi is still trying to cancel Juan Manuel Fangio.
Why?
This is si hard to follow. Thumb down.
