    Just added an mini osd to my P2 and had my first flight yesterday. Searched for an hour for a good explanation of the display's meaning and yours is by far the best. Thank you

    Just want you to know that you really helped me a lot in developing my quad from a simple RTF to a RTF/FPV with IOSD system. Hope you'll continue to seek the needs of rc quad enthusiast for them to fully enjoy this hobby as much as I do.

    I just ordered an iOSD mini and only after wondered how I would connect it to my GoPro & Fat Shark tx. I was about to post the question on a forum but decided to search first. As usual, That HPI Guy has just the video I need. Thanks Richard!

    yeah I said that wrong didn't I , its more of an attitude gauge for the quad. it shows what the quad is doing and not a horizon. I have not plugged it into the assistant yet but you might be able to change it like you said.

    Thanks! This really helped me understand the iOSD Mini features. It wasn't clear with the DJI website and such. What I really needed to know is if it has home position, altitude, and amp. Now I know it has everything I need except the amps.

    The ground on ur camera goes to the ground directly next to the video in ground, and the other ground from the video out plugs into the ground that plugs into your transmitter.

    you will use the video out from the H3 2D BEFORE the isod. just wire the signal wire and ground into the iosd then out to the video transmitter :)

  • @rasc-images
    @rasc-images 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the good explanations. I will install mine tonight. Just one comment on the height. It is not showing the height above ground, as you said, but the height in relation to your take-off point. I guess this is important, as one might think he is 2m high and crashes, as it is just 2m higher that the tai-off and not above the actual ground.

    Great vid - This is a great little piece of kit. I want to put one in my Phantom. Do you know if it will work?
    IF it does then I was planning on installing it with the upgraded main board so I don't need the PMU for the H3-2D but I cant see how this would connect into the NAZA on the Phantom - any ideas?

    Hi!
    Nice vid. Just received mine.
    I am puzzled though by the connection of the iOSD to the cam and Tx. I am OK with the the video connection, from the vid > iOSD > Tx, but what about the ground connection? Since the power of the vid is comming from the Tx, do you just connect GND.vid > iOSD > GND.Tx

    What battery were you flying with? 3s or 4s lipo? 4s right? Also- if I'm running a 3s 4000 MaH lipo, what's a safe voltage to stop at (without going to low on the battery). I just got my iOsd mini yesterday (my first OSD) and I love it :)

  • @VSUPARHAM

    Pretty awesome review there. Any chance that you did this same flying review for the EzOSD? I'm looking to compare all of the top OSD's. I want to see them in action before I commit. I wish someone would do a head-to-head comparo. (EzOSD, iOSD, minimOSD)

    Although the EZosd unit seemed messy, the thing it can do is link to an Antenna Tracker module on the ground to direct your antennas at your craft. Is the DJI iOSD mini possible to pass through the GSP data to the right audio channel of the video transmitter like the EZosd unit does?
