I really appreciate the body colour grille, it definitely is distinctive in it's class for that. More brands should do those.
I'm not sure all trim levels will get that because I've seen photos of more conventional grill, but I do agree with you! It looks great especially in red colour!!

@@thormaster06 this grill is actually the standard for hybrid which is the only version europe gets, the other is optional on some models.

Holy crap I'm blown away by the design, both the exterior and interior look amazing! Was never attracted by the current gen HRV, but will definitely consider this one as my next car!

@@brunohplemos I don't think it's futuristic at all. It's very current and on trend, but I'm also somehow getting a slight retro vibe from it too and I don't know why.
Look alike 70s cars or something
I've always thought Honda cars looked so boxy and dorky looking.... but THIS? This is a very nice, sleek design. I'd never thought I'd see the day with Honda. Give the designer a raise.

I bought a new Jazz last year. This is the same car, just BIGGER. I love the hybrid technology and the build of the car. Wish I'd waited though.

The no bullshit approach on this car makes it very attractive. Minimalistic but functional exterior and interior, spacious, solid quality and a very logical engine. It's supposed to be economical and competitive as well, and fully loaded as standard and AWD as an option (at least in Japan, where is already being sold). Hopefully we'll see an electric version soon enough.

This small SUV looks like designed in Italy. Good job, Honda! Jaw dropping design. So simple, yet modern and dynamic. Proportions are spotless. Piece of art, just like some Italian cars.
I'm glad that this shares a lot of parts and technology with the 2022 Civic.
Looks really superb, I can see a What Car award for this already! Classy exterior and interior, the best of both worlds, more upmarket appearance with pretty much guaranteed Honda reliability. Buying one of these, for man, is a highly probable no-brainier.

That radio dial is awesome. Grill looks clean and I always like big dials-

Strategy of modern automakers: increase the size, power and cargo space every year so you have selling points, then once it's basically jumped a size class release a new 'smaller' model in it's place.
I guess Honda just hired new designer car, this now looks decent.
This version finally looks decent, because it is an almost exact copy of Mazda CX5 design.

@@allanbernabe38 It's more CX-30 than CX-5 I think... It's definitely got a whiff of Mazda about it though which is no bad thing.
@@allanbernabe38 Most cars copy a thing of two from others. Even crazy-cool Hyundai with their odd looking ones, way too futuristic take elements from here and there. Besides, the CX-5 is just gorgeous so... that's allright.

I have been buying honda motorcycles for years, as they are way above any other maker and this car looks like it will be a pleasure to own long term. The reassuring click on the dials is a sign of top quality and it will last forever like all hondas...
The fact that this version of this vehicle isn't available in the U.S. is a disgrace. The HRV sold here is a joke, the only way I have one is if it was given to me completely free of charge. This vehicle presented here looks like one I could actually live with.
The new version looks more grown up, more mature and far more composed than the outgoing one. I like it, and that front grille, it’s an excerpt from the future.

Received an email from Honda UK, as at present I got HR-V 2020 model, I am really impressed with this upgrade and may part exchange mine for this lovely hybrid which I always wanted to try
I swear Honda doesn’t have a styling department, non of their cars have any features that are similar, every other brand is obvious what they are but Honda has no distinctive brand features

I was very disppointed by the latest Rav4 design. But now Ive found the right replcement.
So no one is going to say it? .....It looks similar to the Mazda CX-5.
Not saying it's a bad thing though.
Mazda SUV's, in fact all Mazda's have a complete different front entirely. In fact exactly that for me is a deal breaker. But hey that is only my opinion and fortunately peoples taste differs.

I was a huge Honda fan. Even when my new Accord spent more time at the dealership than any other car I've owned. However, with every new release the disappointment increases.

The exterior of the car featured in this video looks FANTASTIC -- but, it looks nothing like the actual 2021 Honda HR-V shown on Honda's official website. Am I missing something?

Hopefully Australia finally gets a few interior options other than just black. Australian's are sick of seeing dozens of interior colour options for customers in just about every country except ours. Oh, and finally rear vents and USB ports for the passengers.

Never liked honda suv just their cars but this style is a big upgrade 😍
The only thing I don't like is the shark-fin antenna. I wish they did some sort of flat design so if I'd load a kayak I would not have to worry about breaking off the antenna. Other than that, it is perfect.
Nice lines at long last and not coming out of the transformer toy design dept that so many cars have employed to design their offerings over the past decade (Toyota etc)
Shd have kept with higher roof imo. The 'old' cars faults were crashy jiggly ride with larger wheel option, scuttle shake over larger bumps and gearbox/1.8l engine combo made noisy progress. Sound proofing was also pretty bad. Hopefully these have been resolved
I like the design language better than the outgoing car, but its front and rear ends look too similar to the Mazda cx5. If you made the front grille chrome, it'd be the same shape as the cx5 grille, and if you removed the light bar on the taillights it'd look like the mazda 3 hatch.
I see a little Volvo Xc40 / WV vibe to this! Nice!

Love this new design! The first one I have liked since they ditched the one with the spare on the back.
I think the way of showing the interior design need to be more clear, but other things are very nice

I am dissapointed about the amount of HP. A better performing engine is a must for me.
Common, where's the sunroof.. A sunroof brings big plusses.

The long bonnet looks cool, but it's a show stopper, as that length is 100x more useful in the cabin..

Looks good. Big problem with the existing model is its gutless petrol engine. Hope the new model solves this.
Looks really nice. Lets just hope they will bring a stronger engine and not only 1.5 hybrid 129 hp. Would really consider this car if they offer an engine combined with hybrid engine over 200 hp.

The looks remind me of the previous generation Hyundai Tucson. The body coloured grill is cool in that the most recent car I can think of with one is the Ferrari Roma.

I have the new honda jazz for more than 9 months. I love it for short range trip and in city but on highway in france over 110 km/h is very noisy and thirsty over 8l per km same as my bmw x5 3l diesel. I will that a look at it with my dealer

Beside from the fact that the grille is body colored, the shap of the grill and the head lights are the same as the last gen Tucson
This new gen looks like a big step up from the previous one. I really wish that it could also be fun to drive like Civic. Hope there will be a version which has at least 180hp.
