Thank you for debunking the misunderstood test results.
Public safety is fortunate to have individuals like you keep the facts to the forefront for the unsuspecting public.

No, the interesting-but-terrifying fact is that this is also true about radon gas, which is why we need to build houses that can breathe.

The volcano has an official name: TAJOGAITE. It's named from the language of the Benahoarite people who lived on La Palma before the Spaniards arrived. Tajogaite is the old name of the place where the volcano burst from the Cumbre Vieja ridge. I believe the 1971 Teneguia eruption is also named from the same language.
Thank you for your videos, they are so informative but understandable for non-scientific me!

A TH-camr called Bushcraft Bear lived on La Palma and daily covered his experience there with the volcano. It seems to have really caused him major, serious health problems due to being out in the gases and laze. Didn't know the hazards were so bad!!

Sorry to hear he has developed health issues. He did take a lot of chances during the eruption, with breathing ash and emissions, so he got his name known, but sadly, at what cost.

A minor nit to pick: The CO2 molecule is not bent (as the H2O molecule is)--the three atoms lie in a straight line.

Memo GH: Thanks for seeking to correct the mass of misinformation that is found on the internet! As a chemist I, however, cringe when I see the structures of molecules such as CO2 incorrectly represented. CO2 is a linear molecule meaning that its three constituent atoms lie on a line, viz O=C=O, and not the angular structure presented in your video. Apart from this: Excellent! 🎉🎉🎉

We're not sure if it was a Seismic event, the most recent quake to when it happened (to my knowledge) is near Tonga, Would love if you could have a look into it!

Question about the recent Russian volcano eruption. Saw an article claiming USGS said that there was a 7.0 earthquake and that caused the eruption. You have said that can happen but is not usual. Is that what happened in Russia, or was the reporter misunderstanding what USGS was stating?

Very unlikely that a volcano which erupted just a few years ago (and is not hyper-active) will erupt again until some decades have passed and magma pressure has built up again. I'm just an amateur but I can understand that much.
