me four. Exactly what I had and I wore it out good. Loved these songs! Powerful, driving metal that you want to sing along to with a bad ass facial expression!
Game of chance, some great bands don't get promoted like they should. Record Labels and management play HUGE roles in how bands succeed or don't reach their full potential. Obsession was one that was better than most at that time.
Yes he's got a great voice, I'm glad he lets it out, he should a little more. The most underated is the guitarist, he's a brilliant player and fast as hell. I do mean the guitarist singing with the singer, and starting and playing the solo exept for the last tiny, tiny bit. These guys damn sure should have been bigger, but then again what competition they had. Yes he did suck with malmstein , he never would let his real voice out, he screamed everything or had a hoarseness that sounded bad but malmstein wanted all the attention so maybe he wanted it that way.
This song is so bad ass❕I loved Obsession, and XYZ, they became popular too late, The lipstick and hair bands killed heavy metal and hard rock. Everybody should remember the night of the big switch, when MTVs head banger ball didn’t come on, on its regular time. Instead yo MTV Raps took over the slot, Wasn’t long after that, when grunge started taking over.
Yes this sux for us . The 80s has a legacy living on though. I mean when the kids are using slow motion captions to rip everything off . That says it all . Us guys growing up in the 80s had no such thing . Obsession was awesome, they make me think of Armored Saint . Could have been huge in European power metal circuit . Like Manowar . 🤘
Arthur Gonzales Mike Vescera joined Loudness in 1987. They might have made it if he didn’t leave. These guys are from New Haven CT. Not many bands made a dent into the music scene from CT besides Hatebreed.
Joe Rico actually Shelton CT was where they practiced. Canal street. Used to love watching them. I was lucky to live in that town. We had an entire row of old factories they turned into band rooms.
I had the good fortune to grow up in the town where they practiced. Strongest weed I ever smoked was given to me as I sat watching them on canal street in Shelton CT 😂
What was the college radio station that played metal on Friday and Saturday nights. Thats how i found out about obsession, fates warning, arsenal, king diamond.... List goes on

Yeah I was blown away by for the love of money, they were terribly undervalued and underated. I went the next day and bought the album, that's how much I liked em, kick ass brother. Their another band in that period of my young life that made me want to play guitar 🎸 and I wish I had applied myself the way I did to shooting bows or hunting deer, I think 🤔 I might have went somewhere but there's just so many bands out there it's really hard.
OMG!!!! TOTAL THANKS AND APPRECIATION for posting this!!! I had been thinking of this band and album. I used to crank this when I was 16, 17, 18. I had a cassette actually and used to proudly crank it loud cruising in the Camaro. This is SO WEIRD that I came across this right now on the internet after just thinking of these songs. Thanks again!
I first heard these guys on mtv's Head Bangers Ball, man I went and bought the album which was all good, every song. The singer Mike is damn good so when Malmstein used him I wondered why he didn't sound very good, he screamed or had a hoarseness to his voice but Malmstein wanted all the attention so he may have wanted it like that.hahaha. no really. Now the guy playing the guitar, the one who sings with Mike on vocals and plays all but the last couple seconds of the solo is a damn good guitarist. He's very skillful and fast as hell.
I had this album on cassette back in the 80's,great album.
Me too
Me three I went and bought it to hear For the love of money but every song was good, the whole album jammed.

Also for yngwie on 2 records 😀👍

Great song great band 🤘🤪🤘🇮🇹

Top notch tune.
