    Thank you for tak8ng the time to do this. I'm running a 4060, Rysen 5 5600x and 32gb ram at 3200 CL16. These settings are a huge help.

    Nice, but no matter what settings i have even the lowest ones, msfs 2024 works really bad for me, maybe in some ga aircraft it's pretty good but in arliners it's really bad (like 10 fps), in msfs 2020 it worked much better, i guess i have to wait a little bit

      Maybe verify your files and see if anything is corrupted? I had some odd behaviours sorted by doing that

    I'm a novice on 2024, although I've played 2020 for hundred of hours. You 2024 mid-level setting finally helped me get started. Machine- Intel 12900, 32gbs of ddr5, 3060ti video card. But I don't know where to find the fps meter in 2024, although I know where it is in 2020. Thanks. I must admit with this new build though, I'm liking 2020 a lot better! My older computer is a Intel 12700, 32gbs of ddr4, using that same 3060ti video card.

    Great video - very similar set up to mine apart from a Ryzen 7600x. I too am having issues with fps tanking - it will be stable at around 40fps, but then it will drop to like 12-15 fps. This occurs in any aircraft, at both default and payware scenery? Seems weird. Only fix I’ve found is to switch to dlss ( which bumps frames up to 60-70 fps), then go back into taa.

    Simple fix for DLSS smeary gauges - just edit user.cfg file line 18 SecondaryScaling from 1.00000 to 2.00000, gets em nice and sharp again

    This is pretty much my setup , tks for testing. Even tought we are having issues with VRAM so I would use this as a comparision with my setup later, something is wrong about the SIM, my install or OS because I have mostly drops below 10 fps, which was considered a bug in the forum but ignored by Asobo.

    Built a core i9 12900, 32gb ddr5, with msfs on samsung 990 Pro mvne. Your instructions help me fine tune it just right, although its got my 3060 ti gpu running close to 98C.
    One question, the instrument panel is so bright on the 737 Max. Tried several several, but they darken other parts of the interior. Which switch lowers the light intensity of the instrument gauges? Does anyone know?

    Thank you so much! But I missed the part of the anti aliasting. Did you put dlss+quality or taa? I have got an rtx3070 and an 7 5800x, do you think I can put some of the settings on high instead of medium because of the 7 5800x? :) Soon I will upgrade on the rx7800xt. Do you think my performance and fps will be higher or will I be in bottleneck?

    • @AirNOTT
      @AirNOTT  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Easy way to tell. Enabled developer mode in the settings, then show the fps counter. It’ll tell which component is bottlenecking

    • @zizoa330
      @zizoa330 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @AirNOTT it's switching between GPU and limited by main thread. My GPU usage is at a 99% while my CPU is at 20-30%

    Great video and very revealing. Of course it is the aircraft size and complexity that will generally trump all other scenery settings. For example in the C172 I get similar to your fps on a similar system. But as soon as I load the B737 MAX fps absolutely plummets to unflyable and occasional GPU fails. I'm interested in your description of waiting a while for things to settle down. Have you tried lossless scaling? Provided you are running DX11 I find this to be the most powerful recovery of lost frames with virtually no hit to the system or GPU. I think more than DLSS or frame generation lossless scaling works better. If you run DX12 the lossless scaling can cause lock ups on my rig. Thanks for the excellent comparisons.

    • @AirNOTT
      @AirNOTT  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      FS24 is dx12 only. As for settling down, I meant that frames were very poor (10fps ish) until the sim settled. Usually due to the GPU being shown as being the problem on the built in fps counter in the sim

    Can anyone tell me how to transfer my 3rd party purchased aircraft from MSFS 2020, which I purchased on Steam. To my MSFS 2024, which I purchased on windows Xbox platform.
    I do NOT see a community folder in MSFS 2024. I believe that is where my purchased aircraft are stored in MSFS 2020.

    Ive had an odd experience. I played MSFS2024 via Gamepass with next to no issues at a solid 60fps. Decided to cancel Gamepass and purchased the sim through Steam. I couldnt play it, fps was low and experienced loads of bugs. Ended up getting a refund

      It’s built into the sim, but you need to enable developer mode

    Hello, first of all thanks a lot for the video. I have a 3070 myself and this helps a lot!
    I just have a question that i cant find an answer anywhere. Maybe you can help.
    With my RTX3070 i have a i9-14900K and 48 GB of RAM DDR5 7200Mhz . I know my CPU and GPU dont match, but i upgraded recently my rig, and wanted to go for the 4090 but since the 5000 series are coming soon, i thought maybe i should wait. My problem now is, with my present config, when i check the FPS on the developer mode, i can see that i am "Limited by main thread" and i dont understand why, shouldnt i be limited by the GPU since my CPU is a lot stronger? is something wrong with my CPU? my GPU load is almost always running at 100%, but my CPU barely goes to 25%. My RAM consumption is about 50% when i fly. (i fly in 4K btw, with the frame rate blocked at 40 FPS for stable performance).
    Thank you very much and i hope somebody can help me. Hope nothing is wrong with my CPU :(
    Cheers!

      Maybe unlock the fps and see if that changes things?

    • @ProzFly2104
      @ProzFly2104 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @AirNOTT yes I just did that. The frames are at around 55 now with the custom settings from your video 😃 but the CPU load is still at around 25% and the GPU at 99% . CPU temp around 60° and GPU temp around 75°. Now the limitations are jumping between CPU and GPU, and the delay MS (or latency?) is around 17 ms. I also did a benchmark and got a good score with my CPU, so I guess it's working properly 😉 thanks mate!

      Oh man, I spent an hour yesterday setting this up. Settings simply don’t directly transfer from 2020, and I wish most of the planes had a tablet option to configure throttle.

    Interessant test. I thought a RTX4080 would master MSFS2024 easily but... not true. Is the CPU a bottleneck?
