    Thanks for this video. I learnt to do this when I was a kid from my grandfather's yoga teacher. As an adult, I've been facing nasal polyps & severe allergies but am restricted in lockdown. I started doing jalneti daily six month ago and I've been sleeping better and feeling calmer. Sharing this video with an American friend who is having breathing issues as well.

      If you really want to cure your Sinusitis you have to go with Ayurveda
      I myself was suffering from Allergic Sinusitis and dust allergy for the last 1.5 years and was also taking homeopathy medicine which showed some results in beginning but overall was just a placebo. I stopped taking those.
      Then I took the holistic way of solving this problem i.e, I increased my immunity to allergy What I did to solve my problem:
      1. Daily Sunbath: I took 30 minutes of sunbath daily as per guided by the Satvik Movement TH-cam channel (Why - Because there is a strong positive correlation between low level of vitamin D and nasal allergies proved by many researches) My timing was 7 am to 7:30 am (15 min front body and 15 minutes back side)
      2. I started having a mixture of Honey and Ceylon cinnamon (1/4 tablespoon of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of Honey) daily first thing in the morning
      3. Before having my breakfast, I started taking Spirulina tablet (Patanjali) (1 tablet daily) While taking a sunbath, I did yoga prescribed by Ira Trivedi, door darshan (For Sinusitis) and The Yoga Institute Channel 4. I stopped all my dairy consumption (for atleast for starting 1 month), but I ate ghee daily with daal
      5. I stopped eating junk food and stick to homemade nutritious food made by my mom.
      6. Your goal should be to improve your immunity and all your sinus related issues will be gone
      7. I also have Inflammed nasal turbinates so I did a nasal massage prescribed by Austin Goh on TH-cam. Trust me these natural ways of treatment will do wonders like no medicines
      8. Trust me if you do all this all your problems will disappear in a matter of days, and you'll see the difference from day one itself.

But I think I might have a very blocked left nostril. I never knew why I could no longer blow my nose thoroughly, and the limiting factor is the left nostril. I will keep at it, this ought to be very interesting! (no pain, head/neck/throat etc...I have just not been able to thoroughly blow my nose for over 20 years. Can't wait to see what happens ;-). Glad it worked for you. Sometimes one nostril is more blocked than the other. try it consistently for a few months and see if it gets better for you. You shouldnt have head or ear pain

    I was afraid and reluctant to do Jalneti. But after seeing your video and I got courage to do this. I experienced that the water from the open nostril runs to the throat instead of other nostril. Probably my other nostril is blocked at that time. But I felt much better after doing three rounds. Other blocked nostril water may not be entering that is the feeling I got.

      It’s more than likely due to pressure changes when the rinse happens and you might be doing it too vigorously. OTC pain relievers like ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) can help to relieve pain or swelling, I however try not to take that stuff so If you are like me I would try turmeric curcumin with black pepper and use a heating pad neck up to the top of your head. You can also boil water, put a towel over your head and let the steam hit your face in all directions neck up. If you have any oregano oil or Teatree oil put 1-2 drops in the boiling water. See if that helps any.

    • @brainmaze3634
      @brainmaze3634 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also if you are on blood thinners do not take the turmeric curcumin with black pepper.

    Just wanted to know which salt is to be used?

    • @AhamYoga
      @AhamYoga  ปีที่แล้ว

      Can use any salt is what Ive been told. If you notice your nose stings a lot with regular salt you can buy iodine packets from medical stores for this. I use kitchen salt and regulate the amount for burning sensation. Hope this helps.
