Learned to tele in VT in the 80s (Sugarbush, Mad River, Midd Snow Bowl), on 205cm double camber skis, three-pin bindings and ankle-high leather boots. Bruised a lot of hips! Those rime-covered trees bring back memories. Oh, how far we have come: 183cm shaped skis, plastic boots, double spring stepped-up bindings now. Burned all my alpine gear in the 90s, never looked back. Keep the faith, drop the knee! Nice turns, looks a little boney in some of those trails, hope you all get some decent snow this winter!
That's so awesome to hear! I came into right into the NTN telemark gear so the move from alpine came with a lot less of the hardship (and bruises) I imagine you went through with those long skis and leathers. Love to hear the "never looked back!"
super stoked to hear that! feel free to reach out if you have any questions as you're trying it out. it definitely takes more than a day to get a hang of, but its pretty addicting once you get a taste of it
Love the telemark passion! Always an excellent music selection as well.
its a good time for sure!
