This is best video on TH-cam , about making chorus. I like the repetition trick. It is a light bulb moment for me. I just analysed my favorite bands and songs and there is repetition of an idea in chorus.

I tried to make songs for helping young people to go through their life in good way and achieve what they want in their life and avoid any unnecessary distraction. However, I noticed that I do not have any back ground on song writing just few basic ability to play guitar with open chords. I really notice that there is something important missing on my song. so im new to songwriting because i sang at my grandmas wedding and aparently i was really good an was asked to join 3 bands. but instead of joining a band i want to be a solo singer. im good on song writing but i dont no how to play the guitar. i was hoping you could upload or send me video of how to play it. i know im only 13 but i think i know that this is what i want to be when i grow up.

You should join the bands for experience im in 3 or 4 and its totally worth it you can get gigs and people will come to watch you if you play enough and are good enough

@Alex I used to think I didn't want to join a band when I was your age, making claims like im hard to work with or people didn't like my sound. Now that im older I know its totally not the case!1 bands give you so much positive experience you can't get on your own, and just because your in one doesn't mean the members can't have their own passion projects. I hope that you still feel this is your passion and that your pursuing it!!! The music industry needs people who love what they do more than ever.

Hi Dylan! I'm Pip(Not saying my full name) I want to be a singer and write catchy songs to get my friends sing and get stuck in their head. (Just a reminder, I'm ten) I really wish that qriting a song was easier *Humph* but, I mean...the first time I asked my brother to rate my singing out of 10. He said 7 out of 10. What chords are you using
I have a hard time coming up with the vocal melody for a chorus. I tend to use a very similar melodie for every song I write an it annoys me.

I'd say I want some songs that are easy and some songs that are harder.. just like when you are getting to know someone.. you show all the surface things first. Then you let those who want to get to know you a little better, know the deeper things.
And you made me cry. So sweet.
What about making a song about an original topic but not a lot of other songs are about like villain reformation

These are actually really good tips! However, the specific song I’m writing has a chorus that isn’t very simple :( and I don’t want to change it :\ however i will definitely use this technique for future songs so thanks!
