Food in Skiathos is AMAZING !!!!
So many restaurants to choose from and we wanted to show you some of them: Kehria tarsanas taverna, Ligaries taverna, Platanos restaurant, under the pine tree skiathos, taverna sklithri skiathos.
We will try the best greek gyros in Skiathos, greek soulvaki, greek sea food, greek sausage and most important a lot of greek sweets and greek desserts. The best gyros in Skiathos we had in Under the pine tree ;)

Nice video and glad that you enjoyed our beautiful island ! Just some clarifications ... none of the desserts you had had HONEY.
Its all syrup ( sugar n water ) so when the baklava comes out of the oven and gets cool we put the syrup on top and it gets absorbed all the way .
So baklava and everything similar does not have honey.
Second , the "stew" you said on the side salad with the fresh fish at Sklithri is still betroot!
The red part is under ground while ot top it has greens wich we cook also. Beautiful pictures of the island and nice video !

@@ula176 te nitki sie nazywaja Katafi (tak sie to wymawia, ale niestety nie wiem jak sie to pisze) i ten deser jest przepyszny!!!! Pelny miodu i cynamonu MNIAM!!! wyslij zdjecie i przepis jesli bedziesz robic ;)

That is why we do not have anymore tzatziki in Greece... probably you ate it all. Hope you had a good time in our country. As I say all the memories of a trip comes from food... 😉

I think any greek sweets are my favourite, they are full of honey and cinammon..mmmm...LOVE IT!!!!

The glasses I wear are quicksilver frames (really like quicksilver for frames have had them for my last two pairs).
And the sunglasses (are pretty old,4 years I think 🤔) they are timberland!

Saganaki generally is made using kefalotiri.... kefalotiri is a hard, salty white cheese made from sheep milk or goat's milk

Don't be disappointed.. you can always find cheaper options like gyros places and lesser known tavernas, maybe do a little research where to find cheaper food, we didn't 🙄
You can really find cheaper prices. The places I saw in the video are a bit pricey, not extremely, but this specific fish for example is really expensive everywhere. You can find as good cheaper. One advice, don't be afraid to ask and try to eat where the locals eat. There's always a reason.

@@hertravels you could easily find affordable places to eat with amazing cousine in Crete, Chios, Lesvos...I live in Kos ,a touristic island, and the prices here too aren't that high. Also Peloponnese is beautiful and relatively quite cheap in the Mainland. In general in my travels I always ask the locals and always look for the places they eat.

I know 🤯 crazy prices!!! When we went there we did not expect to be that expensive. Apparently Skiathos was always a bit more expensive than rest of the Greece but we still loved it over there 😉
Its more here in the USA..cheapest is 8 dollars and upscale Greek restaurants its like 18 dollars

Im greek and i tell you that stupid tavern. Skiathos is an expensive island, the second Mykonos,😡 it is good for tourists to know 👍
My friend..... I'm from Hellas (MY COYTRY NAME IS HELLAS NOT GREECE . GREECE - GREEK are names given to us for reasons I do not wanrt to analyse here ,by turks), and I have to tell you that the prices you paid are insane! Just to give an idea, a Hellenic salad (not Greek) costs less than 1 Euro to the provider! A meal of 50 Euros you paid, costs to me less than 15 Euros with all fresh materials, much better than the ones you were served. Because they were not fresh. When you taste real fresh Hellenic sea food you will see the difference (60 Euros/kilo!!! -we pay 25 Euros/kilo for the best fish and still is insane!!!!!!!!! even for us). Finally, the dessert for which you pay 6 Euros, is given to us for free. All my regards.
Hi Christof!!! You are correct prices in Skiathos are insane, unfortunately every where we have looked it was the same, if you wanted to eat in a nice setting you have to pay a lot of money 😜 unfortunately we have not checked prices on this island before we have booked the holiday lol

@@LithiumAndDietSoda yeah most of the gyros places have good prices 👍 but if you want to eat in a nice setting you have to pay a bit extra 😉 not sure how is it over there this year... might be worth asking people on a Facebook page called Skiathos friends. We have only spend there 6 days so we couldn't explore it properly

i am sorry to say that 99.9 % of all foreigners dont know how , what , and where to eat so unfortunately ending up eating cheap shity food, which they think was delicious
Unfortunately you are probably right, most foreigners including us 😜 get recommendations from Google or TripAdvisor.
you won't find authentic Greek cuisine on the islands, try the mainland 🇬🇷❤
Hi Pavlos, sure you probably right, we were thinking of Athens but we have found a very good deal in Skiathos 😉 maybe next time we will go to mainland to explore real Greece 🇬🇷 😀
