    So I've read the comments section and a lot of people seem to disagree that tapping isn't the way to go and to play it like malmsteen. Let's remember that everyone interprets music differently and therefore plays music differently, some play a passage with all hammer ons and pull offs while others will pick every note. Some might sweep the arpeggios while others might tap them. Let's all just enjoy the music we love and we can play it our own ways instead of arguing about how one person does it.

    thanks! I started off this song the way malmsteen plays it... this is quite a lot easier!

    Guys we are talking Andy James here, he can do the hell he wants with every solo he wants...

    What's the point of lesson when you say you can't play it and have to change? It should be called 'alternate arrangement concept", not lesson...

    sounds better played like malmsteen plays it in my opinion

    People just complaints Andy made an alternative version of to play this solo, while those people never helps the other people to be better at guitar as much as Andy.

    He alternates different stuff, though. Instead of doesn't liking donuts he hates rosebud. Yeah I know this is kinda stupid but it sounds simliar, too. :D

    Nice idea mate..
    That riff is a bit challenging if not tapped.

    Doesn't Malmsteen play 32th - and here it's 16th triplets???

    • @bluetopia42
      @bluetopia42 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah. Yngwie plays 64th. Here's only 8th triplets but with a much higher BPM. Or 4th triplets with the speed of light. You decide. :))

  • @FuelAirSparkTime
    @FuelAirSparkTime 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's not a triplet pattern at the beginning they are thirty second notes..
    15 12 12 15 12 12 15 12
    12 12 12....

    Playing it like this is same as wearing a fake watch. You're straight up lying to yourself.

    • @traezaX1
      @traezaX1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      thats a funny statement....as long as you are playing the song whats wrong ...fake watches are cheap ...playing like this is still as difficult as yngwie does...atleast you will have two ways of playing the same thing .......😂😅😂

    No tapping in the original. Sorry.

    I actually think the tapping sounds way cleaner and gives it a more controlled feel than malmsteen's sweeping.

    Why would a guy who cant even mute the strings properly (notice the hairband on the nut) think its a good idea to make an instructional video on Yngwie Fucking Malmsteen? Rofl...

      I ofc dont know, whether you can actually play the guitar yourself, or if you're just a pro wannabe, but when you do play the guitar you might find yourself playing songs like these, and in that case sometimes a little help can be usefull. in this case, there is quite a lot going on in what you are playing, so a nut strap can be very usefull (this guy doesnt actually need it at all/very much). but picture yourself making a mistake, you miss one string and you swing your palm too far and the string is singin. everybody will hear that... so dont hate on that, first make your own instructional video and then come back.
      nevertheless! I found this video extremely helpfull.

    I just can´t understand why an awesome player like A. James made such a terrible video.
    First of all, no, you shouldn´t convert a sweeping part into a tapping one. It doesn´t sound the same, and you are taking away part of it´s "charm". And, if you do it, you may tell its a cover or an adapted version, but not a lesson.
    And most important af all, when he explains how Malmsteen actually plays it, its absolutely wrong. Malmsteen´s way repeates a note, making it sound quite different and sooooooo much harder to play.

      you dont have to watch the video...
