    I think they should mention nationality as well because it really depends on your nationality in this country. Its not only about Arabs but also westerners get paid 3/4 times more here for the same position than a South Asian. Even Indians get paid well. But not every nationality gets that benefit.

      Agreed

    • @KamyFX
      @KamyFX 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      in the beginning Arabs where getting paid more cause they were just the Arabic face that represents the country and the country had that much resources to give Arabs good pay especially for them.
      when the next leader came, things changed, he encouraged them to work for their salary and whoever do more work, gets more with no discriminations.
      which is a good change, it wasn't like racism in the start, cause my dad is Arabian and was paid less compared to a native UAE guy who did less work and couldn't even understand what he signs on, it was just the high pedestal that the native UAE Arab where put in, which is reasonable to represent the country that is rich with their rich Arabs that have that luxury lifestyle.

      It is mainly because South Asians accept lower offers. If you have skills which the company really cares about and you have the personality then you can switch jobs and reach higher positions. Indians were also paid very less earlier but indians have made their name here .

    Consultants basically fill out some paperwork, check out things or just parrot everything client asks them to do. Filing paperwork was the best job - clients were smaller companies asking to fill out loan applications, tenders etc.

    Being out in Dubai I was naturally curious regarding salaries etc. I don't know why people would choose to work in Dubai in my opinion with no set minimum wage and generally low salaries. It doesn't pay to be a registered nurse here! Also cost of living vs your salary, how do people even rent/live with salaries of 3000-4000 AED.

    This is the issue with working in Dubai, and I can also see the importance given here to age. For example, my ultimate plan is to move to Canada, and there is a small detour to Dubai before that. When you are looking to apply for jobs in Canada, there is never a mention of age. I'm not saying it doesn't happen even in Canada, but it is at least against the law to discriminate based on age. I think we should all not be discriminated against based on our age. We should stop using the term age all together!

    Dubai job market can be exploiting specially IT roles . They want a software engineer with 10 yr experience to work below 10k salry and as people want a start in dubai they agree to work in such salaries that spoils market value of IT engineer here . Growth in IT is very limited here . Companies dont want a quality employee they just want someone who can do things in bad or good quality. Also many companies dont follow IT standards like india and need education on tech industry . They demand things that make no sense😅

      Without uae experience this is good. After 1 year company should give atleast 30-40% hike . After 30-40% hike switch in next 6 months where you can get a hike of about 50-100% . So then salary will be good. 😁

The 1st tier is White people and Locals. The 2nd tier is Indians. The 3rd tier is Vietnamese, Pakistanis etc and the 4th tier are Bangladeshis and Srilankans.
