This is basically the same engine as in the Meganne RS. It can be remapped from 225 bhp to 285 bhp. I have a 2018 Talisman 160 edc Grandtour Initiale Paris. Wonderful front seats. Only two problems, the fuel tank is too small especially if you have the four wheel steering, plus the cabin air conditioning filter is impossible to replace. It will be easier to change the car!
Basically the Talisman Initiale Paris with standard four wheel steering and the 1.8 petrol engine, is a super luxury version of the Meganne RS. The bonus is the Talisman is heavily discounted, and a bargain secondhand. Much cheaper than a Meganne RS if bought new or pre-registered. Lots around too. If you remap to 285 bhp, apart from being a bit heavier than the Meganne RS, in day to day use, the Talisman 1.8 would surprise a few BMW and Audi owners.
Yeah but don’t remap it! The gearbox is at its maximum with those 300nm!

This Is a good looking car, I first saw them in France some years ago, shame it's not brought into UK, I would take a look at one if they did.
Savais pas qu'elle était disponible en 1.8 225 hp. Je la trouve très belle la Talisman, notamment en break et là avec un moteur ni trop petit ni trop gros....Miam. En plus, cerise on the cake, le 4 control.

I wish they’d bring Renault to america
renault will no longer return to America, in the 80s, the brand had suffered a total flop with the "Renault 5 the car", and following that, it stopped the American adventure !! yet we have the R.S range for Renault Sport which is developing a Megane IV RS sedan with 280 hp and more recently a version of more than 300 hp. Currently I have a Clio RS IV trophy of 225 hp, and there I will buy the Talisman in version "Initiale Paris" of 200 hp ...
Renault owns Nissan so i think the Altima must have a platform similar to the Talisman but different engines

J'ai la 1.6 Tce 200 / Initiale Paris depuis 3 ans et 60000 kms, super voiture très très content, juste le réservoir un peu petit mais bon il paraît que c'est un peu général... J'ai vu récemment que le plastique au niveau des jambes avait été remplacé en mieux donc pas mal... Dommage que pour la version 2 de rester aussi sage sur les modifications...

La Renault Talisman 2020 phase 2 , ne fait plus avec le moteur 1.8 CC TCE de 225 CV ! Seulement le 1.3 CC TCE de 160 CV, dommage pas assez puissant pour un véhicule de ce poids !

Nice family station wagon, it is a pity that after entering the market there were a lot of quality mishaps. Renault did not take lessons with Laguna II and the revised version III to heart. Can't you make the correct version from the beginning? Do we always have to wait for a facelift?
What quality mishaps, you have got to be joking?? I have owned a Laguna type III and not ONE problem during 6 years of ownership, not one! The type III is actually very good and reliable. And there are NO quality issues with the Talisman that are out of the ordinary. Try comparing that with any Mercedes, BMW or even worse a VW and you will be paying a visit to the dealer at least 2 to 3 times a year extra besides normal maintenance because of the usual technical failures. Somehow owners of those cars are like Apple product users, when they break down, they call it a feature. Geezzz......have you been living under some rock for the past 10 years or is parroting the usual nonsense your hobby?
The Laguna III is WAY better than the II version, bc the II version had alot of electronic problems, except, some say that the Phase II of the II version has less electronic problems, and btw idk about the Talisman, i think it's a good reliable luxury limousine.

I'm using Laguna now and will use for several years. I Hope that Talisman ph2 is more reliable than ph1. If yes - that's going to be my next car (or Megane Grandtour GT).

@@sven88zg electronics mostly on ph1. I drive 2.0dCi GT Laguna loaded almost fully (no window roof) and besides poor interior assembly it is a great car
I have a 200hp Intens with 4-control almost as spect as Initale and it is the perfekt long travel car
I am interested in same spec Talisman, please tell me how is noise insulation and ride comfort. And can you compare them to other cars you have tried? I look for comfortable and silent(road wind and engine) long trip car.

My car has optional dampers with four setting so i can choose comfort type, this is not a Merce but pretty good when it come to sound.

This car is looking big on the outside but the interior is quite small . If you are over 6 ft tall and 200 pounds you don't have space and the driving position is shit , the overall quality of the plastics is low . If they cut the price with at least 25% maybe it a good deal.

Except that most of the vehicles you site are far from having the options of the Renault!! the VW to get to the same level of the renault will have to pay 5000 € more! And most of the aforementioned vehicles are with timing belts, except the renault engine which has a chain of transmission
