THE LITTLE BUTTERFLY PROOF
How much more amazing can this planet be? A butterfly
returns to the forest four generations later after having never
been there before and lands on the same trees as its great
grandparents once did, traveling almost 3000 miles and never
getting lost. How can that not be proof of something grand in
this world?
The Great North American monarch butterfly's migration is
only one example of nature's seemingly endless number of
inspiring mysteries.
It is a demonstration of the complex and elegant
entanglements that are still hidden from us. Such a testimony
quietly compels us to discover and understand the world
around us.
Before these butterfly sanctuaries were discovered in the late
1970s, people in North America had always wondered where
did all these monarch butterflies go. And in a strange twist of
beautiful irony, the people in Mexico had always wondered
where did all these butterflies come from. These are two
different views of the same incredible pilgrimage. This
migration is truly one of nature's wondrous revelations because
it is not the life of one butterfly that makes this so unusual. It is
the life of four generations of butterflies that makes this story
complete and causes us to ponder about our own purpose and
destiny.
This is a beautiful story. The migration starts in the middle of
the forest, in the mountains of Michoacán. It is in an area only
thirty by fifty miles round. Millions upon millions of butterflies
converge in this place to overwinter enjoying the warmth of the
Mexican sun. During their stay in this migratory site, the female
monarchs become fully developed, and mating takes place.
As this first generation begins their spring migration, they fly
over mountain ridges to as far north as Texas and to the
southern parts of the United States. Here they lay eggs on
milkweed plants along the way. This generation soon dies, but
in four days, their eggs will hatch into baby caterpillars. These
earthbound caterpillars eat ferociously for two weeks before
becoming fully-grown. They will then find a quiet and safe
place to hide. Here they will start the process of transforming
into a chrysalis.
For about ten days, the caterpillar will undergo a remarkable
transformation called metamorphosis, and soon a beautiful
butterfly will emerge. Deeply embedded in their nature, this
second-generation somehow knows to continue the journey,
and they fly north to the mid-United States and to the lower
parts of Canada where they will lay eggs and begin the cycle for
the next generation.
As the third generation emerges, they will find milkweed
plants, eat, breed, and lay eggs, and soon a fourth generation of
butterflies is born. When autumn arrives, and the leaves fall,
this fourth-generation will fly all the way back to Mexico.
Picking up thermals and getting carried aloft on the upper
winds.
They will travel roughly sixty miles a day. After two months,
they will eventually arrive at the same thirty by fifty-mile
forested area of that first generation. It will have been a flight of
almost 3000 miles without having any knowledge of being there
before, and never getting lost on the way. It is an incredible feat.
The Monarch Butterfly migration inspires an overwhelming
feeling of reverence and admiration for the glory of nature. It is
still a mystery as to how they do it.
In early Christianity, the butterfly was a symbol of the soul. In
China, it was used as a symbol of bliss and joy. People in
Australia and New Zealand call the monarch butterfly "the
wanderer." To Native Americans, the butterfly is a symbol of
joy, color, and change. The butterfly has inspired many poets,
thinkers, and writers. Perhaps this is a testimony to the Creator
of this world. Is a butterfly proof that a Creator exists? If and
when we learn all the mysteries of the world, then perhaps we
will know, but the Great Butterfly Migration gives us a glimpse
towards that answer.

I’m asking because this video is not convincing evidence for any god, and is rather just a collection of logical fallacies.
I’m still an atheist.
Same old same old. 'Something can't come from nothing'. 'Things don't pop out of thin air' 'Thing's don't randomly come to exist'. Typical guy taking the time to elaborate his position the presenting the opposing one in the worst way possible because you don't care to understand. If you're going to try to change someone's mind at least make the effort to take what they believe seriously.
Like how u took the time to write that whole paragraph, shows u actually care, and me making this entire video shows that I do as well. I care for everyone's salvation through Jesus Christ and encourage everyone to look into him. Something I didn't get into in this video is how legit and official the Bible is. There are thousands of manuscripts to support the story of Jesus and the Bible as a whole. Something u don't realize is that we both progress an act of faith; it takes faith to believe that there is no creator (even more faith than believing in God LOL). I mean no disrespect and hope you look into it further, God bless.
@@ajzprod Sure you left out a lot of evidence to support your case, my contention is that you presented no possible evidence for the contrary. You didn't try to give them the same amount of credibility. I mean top marks for doing good but again, at least try to present the opposition coherently, not "things don't come out of thin air".
@@w.8424 again, none of us were there when the creation of the universe occurred, therefore we all put faith into what we believe happened. You say I have no evidence, but at least I have an answer to how it was created. Meanwhile, scientists have been studying this topic forever and have gotten nowhere as far as finding out how everything came into existence (and they never will figure it out unless they turn to God).

Ether god has a creator too or there is at least one exception to the thing you claim as a universal truth for why life must be created... in other words, ether god is created or your argument is wrong.
This is a really good question, something I questioned at one point too:
God, the creator of the universe, sits outside the concept of time (for time itself is God made which he created!) God is spirit, the beginning and the end, and has always been here. He doesn't go by our human limitations of time and matter.

@@ajzprod But then you are making an exception for your own rule which means it's not universal which means we can't trust that it applies to nature just because it applies to what we make...
If you make an exception for God, no matter how you twist it, it still means your rule is not always true which means we can't trust it to be true anywhere we don't see it directly in action.
We see people build things and we have records of how people build things in the past, we have no records of anyone ever building nature other then books written by people who were not there to see it.

None of us were there to witness the creation of the universe. Some of us just put our faith in God while others put their faith in their beliefs. @@ajzprod When scientists says there is a law which is true for the universe, they don't then add "oh except for X,Y,Z"... when they find areas it isn't true they study it until they know what is going on and can give the law as it is... You just made excuses.

The vast vast majority of everything in the universe show no apparent signs of design or a specific creator.
Your argument fails.
And is there proof of the statement you just made being true? The answer is no, atheists and God-believers both rely on faith (and it even takes more faith to believe that everything just came out of nowhere). @@iljuro were u there when the big bang happened? Were u there when evolution occurred? The answer is no, you put your faith and trust into men like Darwin just as I put my faith in the Bible and the Lord. At least ppl who believe in the Lord actually have an answer to how everything was created while atheists are still trying to figure it out through studies to no avail (and they never will figure it out unless they turn to God).
@@ajzprod But I don't believe in any origin hypothesis for the universe or life. I have a couple of hypotheses I find plausible but none that I have any kind of faith in.
But when theists make up a god as the definite answer to questions we can't verify and then use that as proof of their specific god, I object. Anyone can do that for any supernatural force because it's circular.

If we reproduce and evolve on our own, where did the very first human come from? And where did that thing that made him come from? And so on and so on? Must have come from an intelligent creator if u ask me.
