This is the absolute most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. And that’s saying a lot! This, indeed was a fairytale wedding. Y’all make a beautiful couple, and had the most beautiful background! I can only dream of seeing Scotland one day.

This is my favorite wedding and I don't even know you two. Weddings here in America has got so out of hand and ridiculous. lol I don't even attend if i can get out of it. This is so beautiful and romantic. Thank you for sharing. And I thought all of those dresses fit you beautifully. Love your cardigan too. I need to learn how to knit and make my other clothes too. Sure not finding anything of quality or my style in the commercial retail world.

Elopement weddings seem to be somewhat popular now (here in the UK and the EU) but of course everybody has a different idea of their big day.
We enjoyed ours thoroughly and go back to our wedding location each year for our anniversary now.
There are good knitting tutorials on TH-cam and for fashion I often look into second hand as I agree that modern fashion is not what I am looking for either.

I avoid the weddings now too. Here in America it’s all about, “look at me!” Such a turn off. Thank heavens my daughters did small weddings, much more romantic, intimate, and loving.
@@Donna-cc1kt Yea. It is like the bride (and maybe the groom) want the wedding ceremony but not the marriage. Divorce is common and even expected these days.

What a beautiful wedding! My Scottish wedding wasn’t as photographically beautiful as yours. Glencoe and Skye - two of my most favourite places to visit when I’m home. Your dress was gorgeous and your cardigan was so lovely with the dress. Well chosen! Your groom of course cannot be forgotten. He was so handsome in his kilt. Well done!

Such a beautiful weeding and the scenery is breathtaking❤ you know, aldo i am portuguese, my heart belongs to Scotland...i think i have lived there in past lifes, if we believe in that, because i have a very strong atachement to scotland, specialy Edimburgh and the Highlands. I said many times that the air that we bread in the highlands is the purest air i have ever bread. I have been to Scotland 2 times, and the last one i went with the love of my life. We have made a simple(just the two of us) ceremony of commitement to eachother on a beautiful place on the day that we made a "cruise" to the Loch Ness. But our dream is to do the Handfasting Ceremony. Is it possible just to do the Handfasting Ceremony with out the legal weeding? We would like just a private ceremony, like you have told us in this vídeo, just want to alloped. Can you guide us in this dream of ours? To answer your question on the handfasting ceremony: It is not a legal way to get married. At one point it was in Scotland but today you have to go through the normal process involving the registry office.
I am starting a wedding planning business for elopement weddings very soon and if you are interested, get in touch with me. It is not yet up but it will be Mara Weddings. I will be able to guide you through everything and can also help with accommodation, flowers, photographer etc.
