I did find a4 but that's only because i was looking for the most ridiculous move there is. When agad told the move my jaw dropped. The fact that Vidit actually found it and why it's winning is incredibly impressive. Amazing
When he plays well he really plays like a top 10, his quality of games can be seen in the first part of tata steel. He just needs more consistency and confidence.
Vidit reminding everyone that he is 2700+ !!! We all know his streaming phase with samay , how funny he is ....etc etc. But when he is serious enough he is a MONSTER !! He plays complicated lines so well ...it's a treat to watch him. Hope he improves more in pressure situations which he is doing now :) #VD OP guys...indians fans would understand this :P
You can pause the video! Still, it’s one thing finding a move like that when asked to pause the video but quite another thing to find an extraordinary move like that in a real game…
a4 was the first move i did look at though i did not calculate everything that did follow. feels good :P 2200 peak and then stopped play , over 20 years ago. Only look at a game every now and then without thinking about it anymore. Great vids,i do enjoy your videos a lot.
Agad: Bf6 Me: YESSS Agad:...almost My day is ruined now :'( Jokes aside, a4 is such unique move that no wonder Fedoseev missed that idea. I mean, that a-pawn feels totally irrelevant. What a game by Vidit
Such a complex analysis done by antonio into something much more simplified. I am amazed that how important is one incredible mive as it prepares for future checkmate. Incredible.
14:32, relating to the fact that Kxd8 2.Rxh8 3.Bxe8 is not possible as it backed up from b5 to a6, no there is not an option for the bishop to reach e8 square, as it committed to a less favorable diagonal.
at 15.00...we just laugh in their face... can you imagine Magnus , or Tal , or Petrosian actually laughing in their face....that would be hilarious..............
#suggestion, if time permits Giri also played an interesting one. In fact the whole round was a fighting one. The Mamyedrarov and MVL was also awesome, those central connected passed pawns just one and two steps away from their destination.
that's the reason he is 2700+ superGM.. and we are just 1600 newbies😂.. agad always hurts our feelings and make fun of our rating differnce by playing false tricks🤣
I was thinking about Rh1 the whole time. It would be a very strong move, but I didn't notice the only defensive resource for black: Kd8 followed by Be8 blocking against checkmate. If I had seen that it would be not so far off to look into attacks against the Bishop, black's only defender against checkmate.
You mentioned that this game turned into the Nimzo-Oregon. I have not seen any other mention of this opening anywhere, even though I live in Oregon City, Oregon. Do you have a reference for this opening, and who has played it?
a4. I don't get how such moves are possible. You can't take it. You can't ignore it. You can't defend it or even lose a tempo moving away from it. I guess there's always a move in a position that is solved for mate, but some of these are really hard to understand.
Agadmator, just a question, how does the situation in the Ukraine affect the chess competitions, especially with the Russian Paralympic team being banned from playing, are there any bans on Russian chess players.
I must know nothing about chess when white ends up winning after going into the middle game with two passive bishops and an uncastled king with major pieces bearing down on it and black's light bishop cutting through the position.
hahaha. it feels so good to find the a4 move even if it was a fluke and I am definitely not a 2500+ player. lol ps.. will always love chess and its tactics.
Folks I am a basic player... no master stuff... would like to know what if Vdt had not played A4... would that make a major difference to the game...???
Every once in a while VD keeps reminding us he's still 2700+
Still 2700 ??

I was thinking about R to h 1 😬I'm humbled
I found a4 as well but I didn't think as deep as vidit did
The spoiler in top rated comment is ruining the video :(
@@gregorymorse8423 sorry

True that, he blunders during the time pressure, i hope he improves🤞

Honestly this move is one of those that makes you feel why would you even play it and finding such move shows class. Good work lad !!
found it as well and i knew it was the move, but it was just a feeling because of the bishop
i didnt really calculate all these lines
It's what makes his young game so genius

Right
at 5:20 the white king is like an octopus who gathers shells with its tentacles to create a shield around itself
I love such positions, the look so cozy.
I was waiting for this so long. Thanks Antonio
"We'll play B4, that's the good stuff" - agadmator @8:44
6:28 when my dad cracks a dumb joke but i want some money from him so i have to fake laugh.
I have explained to several OTB players how white can play this way, and go for a long term win. None were convinced. Amazing game by Vidit.
that moment when agadmator wants us to find a move that only GMs might find in a couple of seconds

Thanks for the Bonus Lines
My brain is going numb.
Good analysis and presentation
Insane Game.
Love your channel
I started playing chess half an year ago because of your channel.
At one point that miracle move did cross my mind after I thought about Bf6 ......but my rating forbade me to think further about it.
Vidit's Immortal ?
Vidit is featuring quite frequently these days ;)

WOTTA GAME! I wonder how top-of-the-line chess engines (Leela Zero, Stockfish, etc.) would have handled some of these middle game positions!
Fantastic commentary!
Vidit keeps on disappointing his haters!!!

he lost to praggna lmao

So many exciting games yesterday ! It’s a short tournament so I guess they have to be push.
Nice troll. I found the bishop move instantly, but I'm a 1600 and missed the pawn move. Also super stoned 😂

Who threw stone at you?
He played the Nimzo-indian against an Indian, what was he thinking?
I found the miracle move with the Bishop! Except I did not. Man what roller coaster ride of emotions. Lol
Agad, this wonderful quote was actually said by Capablanca! It is in his book Chess Fundamentals.

I guessed the pawn push, I'm not a 2,500 player. I asked myself what would Pootie Tang do!
3:06 to 3:53 Why wasn't the c6 pawn captured?
I am no expert but I think both ways ,ie bishop or queen captures will give a free development move for the rook Rac8
I was so happy when he said Bf6 which I found and then.....
Great commentary
Isn't this quote by Capablanca, not Reti?
I just started playing chess but why not knight b2 after the q moves
Why isn’t Hikaru playing in this leg of the Grand Prix?
