Malia May be the only person Peter actually cared about. Despite everything she was important to him.
He cared about Derek and Cora too. Multiple scenes showed it. He just cared about Malia more than anyone
Peter was so weirdly written sometimes cause while I would say there were scenes shown to show that he cared about Derek he also tried to kill Derek on multiple occasions plus he wasn't opposed to kill family members like in season 1 he definitely tried to kill Derek in season 1 and then later he suddenly cares about him
@@dandelion1469 I think they were implying that in season one he was in the middle of a psychotic break. Later he also tried to kill Scott because he was power hungry and wanted to be an Alpha but in the end he joined them in the fight against the hunters and Anuk-Ite to make sure Scott didn’t get himself killed because he found out Malia was in love with him. I suppose Peter was just complicated but there was never a doubt that he cared about Malia.
@@KoramNRdz yea i agree there was never any doubt that he loved malia but he was a little bipolar when it came to derek and i had a hard time thinking if he actually cared for him or not
@@dandelion1469 Just look at Peter's face season 4 episode 12 after Derek is badly injured- and it looks like it's going to be fatal, and you'll know that he loves his nephew.
He probably would have killed Derek in the season 1 finale (because Derek was trying to kill him first) You are right. He did kill Laura Hale, his own niece. He would have killed Derek- but Peter is a wolf, who does love family, and they are important to him. Because he is so capably evil, he can kill them and justify it to himself, but there is still fondness there, thats just how villians are, their love is twisted. But he would never kill Malia. Call it Papa wolf instict or something else, he loved her the minute he found out about her existence, though he didn't even know her name yet.
Idc what no one says they deserved a father-daughter relationship 🥺

Season 6 really showed his paternal side. And he’s reaction when he first finds out he has a daughter and when he Mets Malia it good.

this is beautiful! peter may have been a very morally grey character, but he really did love his family, especially malia. peter always did what he could to protect his family, malia, derek, cora, he may have been a borderline sociopath, but family meant the world to him. i hope we get to see malia and peter interact in the movie

I liked seeing this side of Peter. I felt like it was the first time he actually wanted to be better and was continuously trying to be better for her and to be the kind of father that she could rely on
Peter character is a masterpiece of this movie. So complicated so deep so realistic, like he use lydia for him power but when in s3 sees lydia is in danger, get scared and rashes to help

I don't care what anyone says where Malia was concerned Peter always cared he loved her, and he wanted that father-daughter relationship that Talia stole from him. Think about it, Peter must have fought his sister to keep her if she had to steal his memories of her. Some part of him probably thought she was a million times safer with a house full of Wolves rather than a human family
The moment that he realized he had a daughter, was the moment that he realized a life was more important than his. His daughter was what began to make him more human than wolf, and what seemed to stabilize him from the narcissistic, selfish, loathing person he was before. Peter was a good dad. He didn't try and control Malia, he let her make her mistakes and her own choices, and he let her find her own way, but when she did need him most, he was there. He would probably do anything for her, but out of habit and spite, he still stayed stubborn. Which only showed how alike Peter and Malia were. 1:06, 1:02, 0:57, 1:00
I love the « I get it from you » and when Peter say "You certainly do not"
She did bring some soft parts of Peter. He cared about her not from the beginning, yeah he was curious about what she is like, and then after discovered that she is more like Scott the squad was kinda disappointed. And at the end, we can see that he changed his mind and accepted the fact that she is a good one and even after all she came through hasn't become a monster like him or a desert wolf. He wants to be in her life and gladly seems like she is not against it.

Peter seems like a complicated man to me. He cares, but he believes that caring and trust are a form of weakness. It is what took his family and spent years in a coma. So comparing season 1 to season 6, I see why he did the killing of everyone responsible for the fire. But that's just my opinion.
