3:30 every archbishop has this certain way of talking, like sirius for example says “thank you, i’m sorry” and regulus most of the time starts his sentences with a “you know” and talks abt his rights all the time. For gluttony he always uses the pronoun “we” or “us” instead of “i” or “me”! and he always uses different variations of the same word, like he’d repeat “good, great, nice, excellent”. it’s such a cool thing
Something that was omitted was Regulus and Sirius both stopped what they were doing and looked at their gospels to see that their free time was over and start following their orders. The scary fact that everything they had done so far this season wasn't what they were ordered by just what they do on their free time 😅

The anime is actually being accurate to the light novel in this case. The detail mentioned here is one that was exclusive to the web novel. In the light novel, the scene basically played out almost the same.
23:40 in season 1 Betty tells Subaru " In this world, the word 'witch' refers to only one person" refering to Satella. Most people don't know the other witches, for them is THE witch Satella.
Its not made very clear in the anime, but the cult is only about Satella, they dont care that much about the other witches, "archbishop" is kinda just the new name for people with witch factors since most of them are in the cult. Regulus doesnt have anything to do with Echidna and the other bishops dont have anything to do with the witches representing their sin.
6:49 Regulus being the "archbishop of greed" doesn't mean he's the witch of greed's archbishop, just that he is the holder of the greed witch factor/authority. For instance, in Emilia's past trial/flashback, we see Petelgeuse take in the sloth witch factor and become the archbishop of sloth. There is never any indication of him being affiliated to Sekhmet though.
Three different words for "wife/bride" in Japanese were used in the scene: "tsuma" by greed about Emilia "hanayome" by Subaru mocking greed "yome" by Subaru about Emilia Subaru says "ore no yome" which actually is also a "meme" in Japan. It's basically "my waifu". Seeing as Subaru uses "-tan" and other common otaku terms, I'm almost positive the reference was intentional. So I'd say the translation was accurate.
Now we finally have officially seen every single Archbishop but damn to have them all at the same place is going to be tough. That escalated real quick :D

Maybe Sirius is in bandges cuz she experimented with her body and looks to become someone that he might love and her being with him was just her obssesion.
23:20 it was almost a throwaway line back in S1 so hard to remember but most people only know of Satella. All of the other witches have been lost to history so its pretty rare to know about them. If they dont specify which witch, its probably satella (or they don't know which witch)
And even if they mean Satella, that still might not even be true. For example, it was told in Arc 2 that witchbeasts are created by Satella, but Arc 4 clarrified that it's actually Daphne.
You've got a good read on the archbishops' nature btw! being the complete opposite of what their titles imply, or more like their witch factors. Seriously, what a subtle catch.

This is not spoiler but a cut content that got cut in the episode 3 in the anime adaptation: So Garf and Frederica is childrens of R* words. Her mother Riasha got sold as a slave by her father to a bunch of bandits, she got gang r*ped for the first time, she got pregnant and gave birth to Frederica, and then she got sold again as a slave to another bunch of bandits, got gang r*ped again for the second time, she got pregnant and gave birth to Garfiel. Even though she experiences those traumatic events she is the type of person that always keep her hopeful face and believing that there's a happy end towards everything and always keep her smile face towards her children (yes she loves them), and then promise them to find their fathers outside of the Sanctuary, so that her childrens doesn't grow up without experience their fathers loves, until that unfortunate event happened where her carriage got hit by a natural disaster, a landslides, while trying to go out of the forest. Both Garfiel and Frederica knew about this from the elders in the Sanctuary. This adds more context as to why Garf doesn't want to tell his amnesiac mom abt him being her son, because first, he doesn't want his mom to feel bad about herself that she forgot about her son and daughter, second is, for his mom to not remember that traumatic dark pasts that she went through, and the third is that Garf doesn't want to break her mother new family because after that traumatic pasts, she finally got her peaceful life with loving husband that truly loves her dearly and her 2 new childrens. The situation for Garf, Frederica and their mother is just Tragic.

The theory is that Sirius is a spirit that was obsessed with Petelguese and possessed Fortuna's body after she was killed. She hates Satella for being the object of obsession for Petelguese and therefore Emilia for the resemblance.
To add on to what you said about the archbishops standing for the opposite of their title, I also think they unknowingly represent it, even though they're against it: Regulus hates greediness but he's the most demanding of all, always expecting something in return for the most minor interaction. Sirius is all for love but loses her shit the second she sees Emilia. Petelguese hates sloth but always sends his pawns to do his bidding while he sits back and waits for news. I think the way authorities work is the more in line you are with the authority, the more powerful it is. For example Petelguese was very diligent contrary to his sloth factor, so he was pretty weak. Same with wrath who seems to want love a lot, pretty weak although she does get mad sometimes. Regulus however is very strong because he is pretty greedy wanting respect and wives. I think this theory is also proven by the witches like for example Sloth was the strongest witch and also literally never got up.
the powers an authority gives can change depending on the person. they'll always have a similar aspect to the sin theyre related to, but the powers aren't always the same. Subaru having the same unseen hand as Petelgeuse and even Sekhmet is because of his history we saw in s2 and why he skipped school etc. If he were to get the Greed witch factor, chances are he wouldnt be able to become godly like Regulus unless he had similar traits to him which obviously he doesn't.

@@Platinumsnake2024 what ? No, I meant the Sirius = Fortuna theory is as old as the first appearance of Sirius in the novel. Its not confirmed but thats what most people think her true identity is when they first saw her.
Yes, but it's only at first glance, because as we go deeper they are horrible beings who let themselves be carried away by their passions, like Petelguse who thanks to Pandora let himself go and stopped having convictions and transformed them into a single obsession so that he stopped thinking and stopped being guilty of his atrocious acts, Gluttony, who despite being skinny and malnourished, feasts on memories and people, or Regulus who seems disinterested, but has no qualms about using the lives of others as currency for himself and where the most important thing is him and his opinion above everything else (average X user).
Seriously, what the f is up with the subtitles? The American translation industry is rotten. Even I, from the gen that says "waifu" and "built different", am embarrassed by these translations. They ought to start sticking to the series' style; no way Betty, a 400yo spirit, says "Reinhardt is bUiLt diFfeREnT" (I know, the subs were "to this world, he's the very definition of different", still, same thing) and Subaru clearly didn't say "waifu" here either, it couldn't fit any less to the situation! Subaru's having a serious confrontation with an archbishop! *sigh*
I'd argue that "he is the definition of different" only feels childish because it's used so much. I wouldn't be surprised if it's that actual translation, word for word.
Pretty sure the phrase "Ore no Yome" isn't as straightforward as you think it is. Like, yes, it does mean "my wife" but it's reeeeally not normally used that way and is a meme in and of itself in Japanese. Look up 俺の嫁コール
The magic system in Rezero is a bit more complicated than the standard. Fortune had fire magic. This was basically the manipulation of the concepts of temperature and heat. Fire magic can be used to create both ice and fire.
There have been some many theories about different things, one of them was recently poked thoroughly in the last few chapters of the WN about another character people speculate about. So yeah, some descriptions or wordings the author uses are sometimes just red herrings, deliberately trying to trick the audience into going crazy with theories, so IMO Sirius just being Fortuna is unlikely because that would be too easy. Idk if Tappei or us should feel more insulted that people believe its as easy and Sirius=Fortuna. 😕
Typhon (arrogant witch - green haired and petite girl who appeared in Subaru's dream at the cemetery of the greedy witch Echidna part 2) once drowned when trapped in the defense system by Priestella. The reason the bishops committed the crime of landing was to control the buildings and find the tomb where Typhon was buried according to records in the gospel. As for the purpose, I guess they still want to unseal Satella.
Scary fact: Capella, the Archbishop of Lust, is the most evil Archbishop of the witch's cult. According to the author, all of the present-day Archbishops are pure evil, but Capella is her own special brand of evil. So, while they're all terrifying, Capella is on her own level of evil. She's not the strongest Archbishop. That honor goes to Regulus. However, when it comes to their level of evil, she's hands down the worst.

I live for the Regulus yap spree🙂↕️✋🏽
Its fine its kind of a good outcome everyone survived no one has died yet.
If she was Fortuna she would be using Ice
The magic system in Rezero is a bit more complicated than the standard.
Fortune had fire magic. This was basically the manipulation of the concepts of temperature and heat. Fire magic can be used to create both ice and fire.

OMG YOU GET IT!!!
I have been seeing this in almost every re:zero s3 ep 3 reaction 😅

We are NOT in consensus that Fortuna is Sirius. There's a lot of contradiction especially of timing.
