I would make a “Matti-ball” if you hold it, it does nothing, but the moment you put it down, it’s laughs constantly - until you pick it back up. Great video Ed. I ❤madballs. Especially the head poppers.
Hoping Froggy Flips watches this one because he has been buying a ton of madball and madball knockoffs lately. I want some of those weird balls, very cool.
I had many of these knock offs including rude ralf, weird fact ralf was banned for a short while I got it for christmas as a kid just before that happened.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut yeah i remember hearing of a few things, some parents believing it actually swore and some issue with people saying the eye could cause strangulation issues but I had it and couldnt see that being an issue. Uk were really harsh on stuff like that at the time though.
Thank you for this! Love to see more content on madballs and its knock offs. Does any one recommend an online listing of these? I’d like a line of Japanese yokai balls Can’t get morbid orbs out of my head now
I don't collect toys anymore cause they're just too damn expensive nowadays but damn I love this series, it's always a joy to learn more toy history. Keep up the good work man.
I loved stuff like this! I had many mad balls as a kid as well as a few blurp balls and spit balls. The full sized sports balls were really cool and you would see them a lot back then.
thank you for brilliant vid I'm looking into doing some clay work with moulding different toys ideas and decided from your video the... sculpt body's separate wicked if i do my own mad balls just fun project.steve
I had the touchdown terror football as a kid. Its going for big bucks now. I remember playing football with it. Wish I still had it.I saw it in this video and looked it up. Its 200 plus dollars now.
Hey Ed, great video (as always) and interesting format. I'm sure there is a lot of preparation that goes into something like this. Just as a thought, have you ever thought a bout making a reaction video to videos of other toy hunters? After all screaming at the screen, when you just walk by a toy I would have bought is a big part of the fun (or is that just me?) . Anyhow I imagine a reaction video would be fun to watch, realatively easy to make and great for promoting other channels. Again, just a thought.
honestly, I was just thinking..what a lost, perfect opportunity for the madballs to be called just CRACKHEADS coming straight from the crack epidemic period
I have to say if you're going to copy a toy at least be creative with it, give consumers something new that Madballs didn't make which some companies took to heart. I liked Spit Balls, had a lot of fun with those.
I would call them fur balls... do you dare look at what your cat has puked up? Fur Balls ! they would be little furry balls with slime covering and disgusting faces 🙂
I was hoping to see the madballs KO i had as a kid but it was too obscure even for this video. A green and orange chameleon head bought from some tourist tat shop in Spain as a kid.
BEST.VIDEO.EVER!
Knowing is half the battle! I just bumped into a line today on card so had to pick it up 😁

I didn’t know that, that’s crazy

I love these knockoffs. I never had an actual madball as a kid, but had several knockoffs.
Ko’s are epic 😁

Enjoy!
I loved stuff like this! I had many mad balls as a kid as well as a few blurp balls and spit balls. The full sized sports balls were really cool and you would see them a lot back then.
Groovy video! My line would be called Slurp Balls, with an elastic tongue for yo-yo like fun.
Slurp is a good name 😁👻
I'd buy one. What kind of characters would there be?
My ball line would be called : Horri-Balls - It may be Horri-ball, but they're great!
Love it 🤘🎃
What would your Horri-Balls line up be?
I could listen to him talk about toys for hours, and I think I have
8:11 - There was also the good guys apparently; the cool, unique, nice, terrific, stylish team.
🤣🤣🤣
I have 2 hairy balls someone had to say it 🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Another great vid Ed, always love these.
Glad you like them!

Pack every ball with a tub of that 80’s staple…yes I’m talking slime and boom just like that you have a amazing line titled Slimy-Balls 😂
Love these educational toy vids. Thanks!

UNNATURAL MARBLEZ
Instead of balls, they're marbles

Nice one 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

Dr Jekyll is the more presentable monster (ball), while Hyde is the monster (ball) we're scared to look at.
Ed's got weird balls 😮
honestly, I was just thinking..what a lost, perfect opportunity for the madballs to be called just CRACKHEADS coming straight from the crack epidemic period

Great Video. Nice
Thanks! Buddy 🤘
My name? “Deez Ballz- They’re Nuts” Collect em all! Ask your mom!!
🤣🤣🤣
Damn Ed, your best one yet ❤
UNTILL WE MEET AGAIN!
🤣🤣 thanks skelly
You forgot Goosebumps! Or I missed it...
What was the name of the ones that were kind of hard and made sounds? I had one that was like a man with a retching sound like he was vomiting.
Are those the one with the bad smell breath
I have to say if you're going to copy a toy at least be creative with it, give consumers something new that Madballs didn't make which some companies took to heart. I liked Spit Balls, had a lot of fun with those.
Missing the grail lines; soma balls and dumballs. Cool vid tho
Ertl is pronounced "errtul". I remember an ad for die cast tractors and thinking the name was weird as a kid.
Salty Balls😂
🤣🤣
Stinky Balls 😂
🤣
It's weird. I got WAY into Garbage Pail Kids, collecting Series III & IV, but I found Madballs disgusting.
I guess gpk looked more cartoony and 2d, but a sculpted gross toy looks more real 😅
Huge balls ,sweet balls , sewer balls, sweaty balls,
Sewer balls my favorite
Sweet & Sour Balls 😏🎃
I would call them fur balls... do you dare look at what your cat has puked up? Fur Balls !
they would be little furry balls with slime covering and disgusting faces 🙂
I'd buy one
Angry huevos
Baby toys LOL
Looking forward to going balls deep!
I see what you didthere 🤣🤣🤣
