I've been flying the Horus X12S since the end of August 2016. Lot's of guys ask me if they should get one. And I say the same thing you do. As long as your Taranis is still up and running don't replace it, but when it dies, this is the radio to get. I've had some issues with mine locking up on boot or shutdown, and with no removable battery that kinda sucks, because you need to pull the radio apart to fix it. Admittedly the last time I upgraded the software was end of September, maybe it's fixed by now.
Spoon FPV good to know. I don't get to keep this one but I do have one coming now for the review (yay). I would like to figure out a way to modify it for a removable battery without jacking up the aesthetics of it
Okay the non removable battery was a major non-starter for me. However, I dim the screen, and it lasts for probably 20 hours of actual on time, and charges overnight. I disabled a switch on there and used it as a battery interrupt to fix the lock out issue.
Any idea why so many people hate this radio? Krazy FPV ditched his and went back to the Taranis, and I've seen comments from others saying it was a disaster.
chrisrnz apparently the first run of these had big issues with range. I was supposed to get this to review months ago and it got delayed because they were reworking firmware and redoing the antenna system
Have you tried the 4-in-1 module from banggood for Spektrum in the Horus? I cannot get a straight answer if that module is dsmx or just old dsm2. I have three quads running the Spektrum quad race rx so I don't want to change receivers.
Ultimatevapor918 looking forward to getting a spektrum soon. It's all fun and games at work until I need to use one and then I'm still kind of lost hah
Nano accreditation is right in the video for each song. 0:53 specifically for the song Minke (Bottles) by A Shell in the Pit And that was one of 3 songs throughout the video. ;) Went the route of in video accreditation because FrSky put the video on their channel. Easiest way to guarantee credit was given. th-cam.com/users/shared?ci=CxCSMFQV_nA
Hello, i live on the east coast in Pennsylvania, and I wanted to get a race/freestyle event together involving classes like 150,180,210,250. I have a location at a resort in the Scranton area. I wanted to know if anyone would want to get involved. I need help getting equipment (gates, flags, etc), directing the event, getting judges, trophies and the correct paper work. I have never set up an event before, but I was given the location and the opportunity, with the right people helping out we could make it work. The event wouldn't be held for another couple months still so there would be plenty of time to set up. If anyone would like to be apart of this please let me know. Thank you for your time.
Dont buy this radio is crap¡¡¡. Too heavy, non removable battery , not ussefull for LRS because battery only get 15-20 min, with JR modulei dont get 10 min battery life. Original software its like turnigy 9x need to flashing with dev open tx(not stable). Anyway not worth it for the price. For this price you get a Futaba 14SG much, much better, also the best option is Taranis
That epic intro alone got the thumbs up. The review, icing on the cake.
Andrew Reinhardt you rock thanks :)
we love you tbone .. you are the best
ThrashFPV and I love you pooky 😁😘

T-Bone Drones Hmm good to know. The form factor of the Horus seems excellent and that screen ... well ... drool. :)
Awesome review!
Theibault thanks :)
I know this is a late comment/question, but I'm debating between an X10S or the X12S... Thoughts?

Best bet would be to get in touch with the PITTROTORcross guys, and maybe post in the multiGP group as well. facebook.com/groups/PITTROTORcross/
What's up with the music? It's distracting
