Mentzer was shredded, granite-hard, symmetrical, muscular, and had a tiny waist. Arnold beat him in some of the biceps poses, but Mentzer displayed an overall better physique--in my opinion.

This is what TH-cam is all about. Sharing video footage that is hard to find. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome footage. Reg Park looked like he should have completed in the 1980 Mr. Olympia. He could of at least placed in the top 5. He had ripped abs.
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines Wow this infantile baby man is literally on every single video having to do with Mike, get a life, make some more sub-par bodybuilding videos imbecile
What a luxury to be able to watch this and listen to your commentary. Thank you for sharing this. It is rare to see anything on this contest and for 1980 and sitting in the balcony you did a fantastic job.
The thing about the 1980 Mr. Olympia contest is that it was held during a time where bodybuilding was aiming to be very mainstream. Contracts were being made in the industry, bodybuilders were going to television and Arnold Schwarzenegger was the face of the sport, to the eye of the average american citizen, at least. Not only was Arnold the star who had been the winner 6 times in a row, he was also the upcoming hollywood star that wanted to make it big in the screen. That being said, at the time, Arnold was considered a mediocre actor, with his first critics being very harsh on him, so his muscles, his physique was his main product to sell him as good choice for starring in a movie. So you take that, and you have the sport's biggest name making a comeback during a time he wanted to get big in hollywood: how would it look for Arnold if he lost the 1980 Olympia? Why would anyone in hollywood cast him, a mediocre actor, with a strongh accent whose main thing were his muscles and those muscles didn't even win the Mr. Olympia contest? It would be a disaster for Arnold's career. Then, you add that to the fact that Arnold and Weider were fierce advocates for high volume training and supplements. That made them very good money, and at the time, with very little information around, people believed it. However, there was one specific individual that defied that. One man that went on the opposite direction and said that you actually needed much less training than Arnold and Weider advocated. Not only that, you didn't need the much talked about supplements the industry was selling. That man was Mike Mentzer, the first bodybuilder to ever earn a perfect score. A 5'8 man that held over 100kg of lean mass on stage, a weight that was only matched by prime Schwarzenegger, a man 6 inches taller. Mike Mentzer said Arnold Schwarzenegger and Weider were wrong and he proved it with his very own physique. Who could argue with that? So then you see, the 1980 Mr Olympia was rigged from the beginning. Not only that, the rigging began in 1979, when Zane, a 5'9 bodybuilder beat Mentzer, who was an inch shorter and 45 pounds heavier. You don't hear much about 1979 because it wasn't as outrageous as 1980, but Mike Mentzer should have won in 1979. They made him second because the guy that dared to challenge the norm in the IFBB could never be awarded. That would be the same as admitting they were wrong. And Weider and Schwarzenegger would never do that. But the people caught on and called them out on that. How could the perfect score, heaviest bodybuilder on stage be second? So, in 1980, they put Mike Mentzer at 4th place, tied with Boyer Coe, so that when people would point out Mentzer should have won, there would be 3 men between him and Schwarzenegger. Mike Mentzer is the true 1980 Mr. Olympia and 1979 Mr. Olympia.
Most likely everything is accurate with this. I have read Arnold played mind games with Mentzer to the point where it threw him off. Arnold won due to his celebrity status, his physique (Nowhere near his better years but even being much lighter, still good), his experience (He knew how to work the crowd and judges with certain poses at certain times) and a shit ton of luck

I can hear the enthusiasm and passion in Norm's voice and I'm sorry to hear he passed at a relatively young age ( 68). I read that he had an interesting life as a pilot during the Vietnam era and then as a commercial pilot for Eastern Airlines.
@ 7:46 That was not Bertil Fox that was Roy callender from Barbados. Also, Samir Bannout won the 1983 Mr Olympia. Every physique was unique. No big guts like you see in today's bodybuilding. Everyone had a stream waistline. Anyway, thanks for sharing!
It's interesting, after hearing all the claims and counter claims that Arnold wasn't in shape and won simply because of his relationship / friendship with all of the judges, at least from an upper body perspective, Arnold has the rest on size.
Bodybuilding is about overall size, shape and symmetry, it is not about the upper body. Arnold left his legs in CA. His upper body looked fantastic, but his legs were a joke. Franco had the exact same problem a year later when he won.
Its almost impossible to get a photo of Arnold's rear lat spread. There's not even many rear double biceps. He likes his frontal and side on poses, but his back was great for that era, especially considering his form was average. He didn't arch his back on rows for a full contraction. Watch Dorian do his back n arch. It makes all the difference in the world.
Although Arnold has always had a great side chest pose in this particular Olympia he looked pretty flat. He just lacked the roundness of his upper pecs.
@fire edi he was flat by bodybuilding standards, because of the cortisone shot he took, he retained water, so to combat this, he posed and sweated out the water, too much in fact, which is why he appeared flat. This is known and recorded, I believe in this video. Plus many bodybuilders in that completion, stated that he looked much better in the pictures than actually on stage. Pictures doesn't necessarily show how you really appear, especially nowadays with all this Photoshop and filters and s***.
Honestly the only places where Arnold had Mike beat were the chest and biceps. Besides that, Mike had vastly better conditioning, symmetry and proportions imo
Nope actually it was Arnold for sure dickerson was small, menzter was looking like bloated puff, zane was wayy off, samir was newbie didn't yet to achieve his prime and boyer wasn't impressive enough to win.
Mentzer was too short...like Padilla, Muhammad Makawy and Chris Dickerson. Zane was robbed in 1982. And Sergio in 1972. Still thought Arnold was best here...but needed another 4 weeks for his legs.
Thank you for uploading this. Your comments are very fair and it's interesting to note the view about Arnold and the film " Conan the Barbarian". It now makes sense. Other fiscilusdions on TH-cam echo your sentiments that it was essentially fixed.
Well, I can see clearly now why Arnold won. 6:23 that front double biceps pose and back double biceps pose says evertyhing. His back muscles and biceps were so obvious. 6:37 his right biceps is out of this world. Not mentioning his overall posing routine. He WAS whipping through those pose because he knew exactly which body parts to highlight during his posing. Notice how he focussed on his right biceps. Everything combined is the perfect recipe for the title.
Arnold still looked pretty good, and his posing and presentation were excellent. Did he deserve to win? I don't know, he was somewhat weak in certain areas. It was bothersome that his thighs weren't quite on par with the upper body, and yet his calves were among the best. Arnold's legs were never his strong point, but that never seemed to hold him back. When he's standing relaxed, the legs look a bit slim and out of proportion. If your'e going to believe he deserved to win, you had to overlook the relative weakness in the legs. His back development was off in comparison to many of the others. But in terms of the rest of the upper body, he still had that signature look of mass and finish that is difficult to transcend. His chest, shoulders and arms all looked very good. He looked the most massive in those areas and he was the tallest. If I had to pick the competitor that stood out though, it would be Arnold despite the flaws. Maybe being taller is an advantage, but no one else dominated the stage the same way. No one else there was without some flaws(s), as good as they were. Mentzer and maybe Dickerson to me had the most balanced physiques. But when Mentzer is seen sideways he appears almost shallow chested, lacking mass in that area. You don't see that at all with Arnold. He always had that incredible upper chest. And Dickerson was very good, but his arms were on the small side. Zane was as good as he ever was, but he just looked too light. I'd have to say though that I think Arnold got a pass here that he probably didn't deserve. He was deficient in too many areas to have come out on top of all those outstanding competitors.
his legs were good. they were just never "bulky" so they seemed thin in comparison. let's face it... he was the best here and the rest of him made up for it. he wasn't at his "biggest" best but he didn't need to be either for the competition on that day anyway.
7:45 The very dark skinned Bodybuilder was not Bertil Fox it was Roy Callender. 7:10 The big blond Australian guy was Roger Walker. Tony Emmot was correctly named he is the other blond guy from England.
Great footage I'm glad you posted this because the networks never put this out there. The one thing we can all take away from this is conditioning these guys and girls all came in with a fantastic midsection No bloated guts.
very awesome footage STG, thank you very much cause that era was really special to me cause i just got into lifting and it was a awesome time, thank you again STG
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines Of course. Now take your medication and make sure you don't try to break free from the restraints again tonight or we'll place you back in the padded cell, just like we did last week.
No back developement on Mentzer. Old school get your eyes checked. Mentzers V taper murdered Arnolds on that stage. When Arnolds was doing the abs comparison his back virtually disappeared. Arnold had no back or quads in that contest. Mentzer smoked him all night. MENTZER SHOULDERS BACK TRICEPS FOREARMS ABS QUADS ALL NIGHT CALFS ARNOLD PECS BICEPS Arnold had Mentzer on two bodyparts. Mentzer owned him on everything else. And even Mentzers Chest to me has always been better than Arnolds. Mentzer like Reeves had these SQUARE chisselled pecs. Not just bulbous droopy pecs like too many bodybuilders have. They looked like armour plating. PROPER unique. Mentzer had Arnold beat all day in that Olympia Take Arnolds good friends off the judging. And put Arnolds body that night on a different bodybuilder. And no way on earth THAT BODY WON. MENTZER COE Were the top 2 all day.
It was Australian Roger Walker rather than Tony Emmett. You can see him winning second place to Waller in the Universe during pumping iron. I was backstage at the following years Universe in Montreal; Walker was really thick and won the heavyweight category. That was Roy Callendar after that. Bertil wasn’t yet with IFBB I think. Padilla really deserved top place in many shows. Zane was sophisticated include that track you’re talking about you can also hear him playing it in pumping iron. Chris was a genuine old-school bodybuilder with class, like Larry Scott or bill Pearl. Schwarz still had a superior tho diminished upper body and height advantage; front thighs putrid
Back then. You knew every bodybuilders name... And yes they were all in very good shape... It was just picking out who your favorite was to win. Back in the day!
I Agree 100% BIG CAL, For instance if TINERINO was standing next to SAMIR we would be able to tell who,s who fairly easily or if MENTZER was standing next to BOYER we would be able to tell whos who also cause each guy had his own awesome look.these days its hard to tell whos who to be honest cause alot of the PHYSIQUES look the same,im not DEGRADING these guys on stage now im just stating my OPINION
AWESOME VIDEO, At the end of this video , Robby Robinson is interviewed, he talks about Mike being screwed by the Weiders & Arnold. There was a quick shot of Mike & Robby comparing front double bicep poses. That contest was the Southern Pro Cup held in Florida, Mike's first pro victory, do you have additional footage of that show????
Mentzer, Dickerson and Zane had the best conditioning. I think these 3 should've been in the top 3. I consider it a toss-up between these 3. Arnold was to me still the most aesthetically pleasing, but doesn't mean he should have won. He had obvious weaknesses.
thank you for sharing... I've never seen footage of the 1980 Olympia, only pics and all sorts of criticism of Arnold. But seeing this, Arnold wasn't up to Arnold standards, but still good enough to win, despite stiff competition from many and I agree you could award the title to several of them - looks like one of the most competitive years
7:55 was Roy Callender, not Bertil Fox. Before him was Roger Walker of Australia. Tony Emmott came out a minute later. Samir won the Olympia 3 years after this.
Sure, Arnold's legs were not as big as previous years. But a body is the sum of its parts, as a whole he was bigger more symmetrical and better built than anybody else. Specially in the side view you can see this, thanks to his genetics, Arnolds muscles 'sweep down gradually and gracefully from one end of the tendon to the other. Each muscle well-arranged against the previous one, foundation muscles tie in start and end where they should. Everybody else's muscles tie in 'abruptly, out of place and badly arranged, they are bad sculptors with bad canvases. Arnold is a great sculptor with a nearly perfect canvas to draw on. Smaller legs than other years was not enough to dimmish his overall superiority. Might take another 100 years before we see another one like him, count yourself lucky we saw him in our generation.
Mike was very photogenic and his strong muscles were triceps, forearms, delts and calves. Very rare to be blessed on those areas, and his waist was small also, but still Arnold dwarfed him. İt is not mentioned much but although he was subpar for his own standarts, his delts were very good during the contest, that really helped hım in comparisons.
What was the weight difference between Mentzer and Arnold? What was the height difference? Aside from height Arnold did NOT dwarf Mentzer. If Arnold were MM height he’d have finished last.
Correction on individual posers: Roger Walker from Australia (not Tony Emmott from Britain) followed by Roy Callendar (not Bertil Fox). Samir had won Mr Universe the year before. I still love this video
@I love The outdoors 100% agree. The only pose in bodybuilding history that had EVER impressed me more. Is SERGIO THE MTH OLIVAS VICTORY POSE. At the 1972 Olympia. When AGAIN Arnold SHOULD HAVE LOST. Mentzer looks INCREDIBLE when he hits that. Pose. His superior shape.and proportions showed off to perfection. He had the PERFECT PHYSIQUE. He was absolutely better than Arnold that night. Take all of Arnolds close friends off the panel. And the result would have been fair. It could never be fair with them judging. Thats what Arnolds groupies cant see. And certainly dont want to.
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines You have no true arguments. OK. Mike had flat chest, I agree. But Steve Reeves's chest looked very similar (flat and square shape)and nobody has problem with it... Everyone Is saying that this is realy aestethic look... Mike can hit the crucifix and vacuum pose like no other. Only Zane can do vacuum also, but Mike's much better, because he got bigger lats, triceps, and legs overall. Try to imagine Arnold's crucifix and vacuum. It will be very funny 😂😂😂😂. Or sad 🤔🤔 🤔?
They all trained down in size for conditioning so they could compete against Zane. Then big Arnold turns up who no one had trained to compete against. They all trained for Zane and got big Arnold instead. Totally unfair IMO
And Zane was injured, and R.Ribinson was not there! Arnold win for sure : unbeatable width, deltoides, chest, posing, calves , double biceps etc. . And he proved BBilders are usually wimps: Danny Padilla said it: Arnold blew us away with his size and width! Danny was the only honest guy+ T.Platz.. disappointing that Samir voted to boicot med Olympia with all the other loosers like M. Menzer and F. Zane . Lmfao!
As Reg Park said "Arnold was flawed and far from his best I have seen, but he was the biggest, he was one of the heaviest and the one that stood out the most. All eyes were on Arnold. He won the 1980 Olympia".
No way he was SOFT AS SHIT. Had a watery back. And weak ass legs. MENTZER COE ZANE DICKERSON ARNOLD PADILLA That was the right top 6 that night. And take all of Arnolds close friends off the judging panel that night. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN. A CORRUPT FARCE. Is not even the words. The olympia lost alot of credibility in 80 and 81 82. That would not be restored until the amazing Lee Haney began his run.
@@fender1000100 Those all look far worse than Arnold. BB.com forums did a picture comparison and it shows how terrible all of the other cars were in reality. Arnold was the only one who had a Christmas tree in the back so if he had a watery back, those guys had bathtub backs.
to be honest Schwarzenegger actually looked good but not 1st place good, he should have been traded places with Mentzer who was flawless. In my opinion 1981 was even biggest scandal that Arnold's friend with gynecomastia won the title. That was pure BS.
The blue trunks was Roger Callendar and the other one wich you first thought could be Emmett was Roger Walker...and wow..how amazing must it be to look back and be able to say that you were there.
Everyone says Arnold wasn’t at his best so should not have won but Arnold wasn’t competing against his best he was competing against the other guys on stage and he absolutely beat them all
I was there at the 1980 Olympia, and about 10 rows from the stage, and believe it or not, Chris Dickerson impressed me the most as he was full and ripped, and had great balance to his physique.
As much as I love Mentzer. Arnold although not in his prime is still in great shape, not saying that he should’ve one but it’s not unreasonable to think that he still could give the top five contenders some degree of challenge.
If you pause at 2:05, you can see Mentzer does *not* blow Arnold away in the front relaxed. I still fail to understand why Arnold's win was so controversial. Yes, his quads were under-developed, but Mentzer's and everyone else's were not that much better...the only guy in the lineup with truly impressive wheels was Tom Platz of course!!!
Extremely MENZTER COE ZANE DICKERSON ARNOLD PADILLA Would have been my 6. Padilla was FANTASTIC. Especially in 81. Where either he or Platz should have won. Padillas problem was always his HEIGHT. If you scaled him up to 5 9" plus. He would have been a MULTI MR O.
Great and rare footage. Thank you for sharing. Just a couple corrections on some of the competitors. Roger Walker and Roy Callender were a couple that you took for other bodybuilders. No offense please. You are obviously very knowledgeable about the sport bodybuilding.

Danny Padilla really brought it for this show. Imagine if he were 6' 2" and looked like that instead of 5' 2"
Yes that was Padillas problem HEIGHT. If he had even been 5 8". He would have won Mr Olympia.
@@fender1000100 The same goes for Lee Priest.
@@fender1000100 Yet they allowed Franco @ 5 ft 4.5 inches to win twice as he was close to Arnold and the Weiders.
odessafile75
The 81 Olympia was given to Franco where I to this day believe Padilla deserved to win
@@johnrodriguez5133 I agree 100%. Padilla was the deserving winner and several who were there such as Frank Zane et al shares this opinion.
Very cool to hear this live recorded narration a fan that was there and had true appreciation for the experience. Great video
Awesome video!!! Thank you so much for posting
I was there in Sydney Australia and Arnold had the fix on. Mentzer, Dickerson, Zane ( small but classy) , Boyer then either Walker or Arnold for 5/6
Nope
I was there on the night. It was great to see all the legends. The mystery guy is Roger Walker from Australia.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing this ultra rare footage.
Mentzer and Roger walker stand out in this line up footage
@@sanctuaryism wrong his legs were dhit
Agreed. No competitor was clearly above the rest of the others. If I had to choose I probably would have picked Dickerson to win.
A Mr. Olympia should never be 'weak in certain areas'. This contest was rigged. There were others more deserving.
Dorian ganó con bíceps desgarrado, coleman con una barriga y ginecomastia y no es esto más polemico
7:45 The very dark skinned Bodybuilder was not Bertil Fox it was Roy Callender. 7:10 The big blond Australian guy was Roger Walker. Tony Emmot was correctly named he is the other blond guy from England.
2:14 Mentzer has a huge triceps, Arnold has a tiny triceps. Mentzers back also looks a lot more muscular.
But he's more flat chested than my first gf 😂
I love Norm Komich's analysis and video. And yes, that was Tony Emmott
No it wasn't, it was Roger Walker. Walker FOLLOWED Arnold in the mandatory poses and the free posing @ the 1980 Mr O.
The 1st Roy he named was Tony Emmott. The other European he did not know was Roy Duval.
@@paulhupp4293 well it’s 3 yrs later and i just read your reply 😊. I believe I was saying Tony Emmott when the narrator asked if that was Tony Emmott
Fantastic post. Thank you Norm!
Mike Mentzer looks AMAZING!!!
So did Zane.
Thank you for the footage.
Amazing guys, i loved this🇧🇷 Mentzer was perfect!
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines Of course. Now take your medication and make sure you don't try to break free from the restraints again tonight or we'll place you back in the padded cell, just like we did last week.
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines Right , Dickerson won !!!
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines After a while that just gets old. Really.
@Jamie Alexander Honestly nobody looked good at that Show. Arnold was the best pick because he had that great upperbody.
No back developement on Mentzer. Old school get your eyes checked. Mentzers V taper murdered Arnolds on that stage.
When Arnolds was doing the abs comparison his back virtually disappeared. Arnold had no back or quads in that contest.
Mentzer smoked him all night.
MENTZER

Arnold had Mentzer on two bodyparts.
Mentzer had Arnold beat all day in that Olympia
Take Arnolds good friends off the judging. And put Arnolds body that night on a different bodybuilder. And no way on earth THAT BODY WON.
MENTZER

Were the top 2 all day.
7:52 Roy Callendar
Awesome commentary from someone who was there.
you must be kidding
I understand Norm was a very nice man and had great enthusiasm for bodybuilding.
Dude Holy shit what size AND definition on Mike Mentzer.
Excellent video. Thanks for doing.
Zane is my fauvorite golden´s era bodybuilder, but in the 80 mr olympia he wasn´t in form.
@@luvuano5262dickerson might be best bet to win against Arnold
I think Mike will get more praise as time goes on. Dude was like Vincent Van Gogh never appreciated until after death.
Bro Mentzer is perfect look at how he moves
Mike Mentzer should have never taken it so personal, his time to shine was around the corner.
not with that flat chest and gut
thank you for sharing... I've never seen footage of the 1980 Olympia, only pics and all sorts of criticism of Arnold. But seeing this, Arnold wasn't up to Arnold standards, but still good enough to win, despite stiff competition from many and I agree you could award the title to several of them - looks like one of the most competitive years
Priceless footage!... my personal top 3 would have been Mentzer, Coe and Zane.
'Previous guy' was the Aussie Roger Walker. The 'Bertil Fox' guy was actually Roy Callender from Canada...
There's a rumor that arnold bought all the footage so no one could see the fix
Not sure If he bought it but CBS refused to air it and never put an Olympia on mainstream TV ever again.
Many thanks for posting this
Arnold still looks freaking amazing
his quads were not there
Thsnk you for this video..amazing
7:55 was Roy Callender, not Bertil Fox. Before him was Roger Walker of Australia. Tony Emmott came out a minute later. Samir won the Olympia 3 years after this.
Arnold still had the best aesthetics and genetics. The other guys just couldn’t compete with Arnold. Arnold won and he deserved to win. 💪🏻 🏆
Exactly! Finally, a much needed explanation from somebody who understands the bodybuilding
How Tinerino was over looked is beyond me. Look at him standing next to everyone, makes Platz and Zane look narrow and small.
Tinnerino looked great.
agreed
Mike was very photogenic and his strong muscles were triceps, forearms, delts and calves. Very rare to be blessed on those areas, and his waist was small also, but still Arnold dwarfed him.
İt is not mentioned much but although he was subpar for his own standarts, his delts were very good during the contest, that really helped hım in comparisons.
When you see shots of Arnold when Mentzer is also in the shot...Arnold does dwarf him.
What was the weight difference between Mentzer and Arnold? What was the height difference? Aside from height Arnold did NOT dwarf Mentzer. If Arnold were MM height he’d have finished last.
Reg parks Arms were freakishly huge here wow in his 50s too
Dude great video, but that’s Roy Calendar, and that’s Roger Walker.
Genetics hard work and the juice. Great footage, thank you for posting this
Correction on individual posers: Roger Walker from Australia (not Tony Emmott from Britain) followed by Roy Callendar (not Bertil Fox). Samir had won Mr Universe the year before.
I still love this video
Oppssss.
Dont' suppose you have any footage from he '78 Olympia? Would love to see new footage of Skzalak!
When mike menzor hits the open Crucifix he wins hands down
@I love The outdoors
100% agree.
Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines and you should have won with those quads and triceps huh?
Old Skool Jock-Carrying/Polishing Services will be in here simping/cucking for Arnold's 'well deserved' win in seconds!!
Yes!
Great footage...thank you for sharing
Zane . Lmfao!
Thanks a lot from France.
Your very welcome.
Roger Walker looked pretty awesome to me.....Mentzer and Zane too.
and Coe.
Mentzer.. se mira. Mejor. Deveria. Haber. Ganando. Y no el. Arnold.
Damn shame we don't have the CBS footage
Arnold already had that T101 face that scared the judges.
As Reg Park said "Arnold was flawed and far from his best I have seen, but he was the biggest, he was one of the heaviest and the one that stood out the most. All eyes were on Arnold. He won the 1980 Olympia".
I have to agree
No way he was SOFT AS SHIT. Had a watery back. And weak ass legs.

That was the right top 6 that night.
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines fuck off punk
to be honest Schwarzenegger actually looked good but not 1st place good, he should have been traded places with Mentzer who was flawless. In my opinion 1981 was even biggest scandal that Arnold's friend with gynecomastia won the title. That was pure BS.
Roy Duval, Roy Calender, Tony Emmot, Roger Walker
Not to discredit Arnold, he was obviously one of the greatest, but his height definitely played a huge role in most peoples’ bias.
Arnold never had to compete against that much competition before. He must of been nervous unless he knew he was going to win ahead of time.

Everyone had such great arms ......
The black guy at 7.50 mins was Roy Callender not Bertil Fox..
Correct. Fox didn't compete in the Olympia until 1983; his placing in that contest was extremely controversial.

You're right. Any one of them could have won. Arnold does look pretty good. His legs are a little off. Mentzer and Zane were dang near perfect..

no that aint Bertil, that's gotta be Roy Callender he was a 60-80 set per bodypart kinda guy
True Bertil Fox wasn't competing there...
Everyone says Arnold wasn’t at his best so should not have won but Arnold wasn’t competing against his best he was competing against the other guys on stage and he absolutely beat them all
Wow..holy shit after seeing Chris Dickerson its between him and Zane for second. He looks fantastic
Bloody FIX by the Weiders. Arnold was their Golden Boy, and he'd promoted IFBB competitions. BS Politics Crap.
Some people only look at the world through rose-tinted glasses. Just like the flat-earth movement.
Mentzer looked good. But then when you see Arnold. Your Attention is drawn to him.
Mentzer, Zane, Padilla and Arnold are my top 4 in that order. You are right. It was very close and extremely political.

Just a couple corrections on some of the competitors. Roger Walker and Roy Callender were a couple that you took for other bodybuilders. No offense please. You are obviously very knowledgeable about the sport bodybuilding.
