    Hey Danny I just wanted to say thank you for all the videos and tutorials you do for the terminators/mach’s. Following your videos this last month I have installed on my 04 Cobra new shocks/struts , pads/rotors/calipers, rear differential bushings, ford racing dif cover , and mm caster camber plates all following your videos. Appreciate ya my dude

    Well Danny, I did it. All completed. Took about 3 plus hours because of our Mustangs having the steering wheel on the "right" side LOL. Only think was not sure of, is when is a car regarded as lowered when installing these camber kits. Mine was lowered about 20-25mm. So set it up as that. Time will tell when I take it for wheel alignment tomorrow.
    For AUSSIES installing this kit watch out for the brake sensor on brake fluid reservoir. Also the air condition tank on passenger side. I had to grind down the camber plate a bit and move the air cond tank out of the way because that switch was in the way. Be careful not to bend air conditioner hoses when doing it. But all worked out well in the end. Video will save you money. Would put up photos but cant. THANKS DANNY, YOUVE DONE IT AGAIN SIR.

    So i have the same cc plates! The other day i realized one of the studs is broken on the black plate that you bolt the bearing housing to. I have coil overs my question is the whole weight of the vehicle resting up against the bearing housing on the cc plate. Or up against the plate underneath.

    Thanks for such a detailed video! I’m going with these because of the bed plate that they have and the sheer design quality. I’m having to reshape my strut tower from a previous owner hitting a pothole or something and distorting/mushrooming the tower. The bottem/bed plate plus the 4th bolt that this set offers should help them hold there shape once I get it reformed. I hope anyway 🤞! Thanks for the awesome video!

  • @markk4708

    From 18:03 to like 20:00, why do you do it like that? Why not just hold/push the strut up with your hand, drop on the spacers, and then tighten the nut? Am I missing something? How does the strut not slide back down as you back the nut off each time? P.S. appreciate the quality videos!

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      As I recall, it was mainly because we didn’t have the strut connected at the bottom yet, and wanted it to snug down without the pressure of the car on it for a more straight install rather than loaded up suspension. You can always try it another way, but there may have been another reason I don’t recall at the moment

    Would you trust any chain shop to align it after CC plates and lowering springs ? Like “Just Tires” or NTB? Or should it go to a performance shop? Debating whether I want to drive on a bad alignment for an hour to get to the shop

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it’s a GT or sold rear axle you should be fine. I’d ask if it’s a cobra if they can do 4 wheel alignment with tie rods in the rear. Any shop will do but don’t be surprised if they still can’t get it into perfect spec even with the cc plates. It’s pretty common

    • @Gustavo621
      @Gustavo621 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dannyjohnsonsgarage it’s a terminator. They couldn’t get it 100% within specs last time but it was pretty close. I am hoping the plates can help them get it all the way there.

    Danny did you resuse the stock bumpstop found under the dust cover of the strut shaft or only the new bumpstop that came with the caster camber plates? your video only shows you using the new ones like what the instructions said however im having spacing issues on mine. i triple checked my work using the intructions and your video and cant find the issue.

    • @mrdanielleon1
      @mrdanielleon1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you end up reusing that strut shaft bump stop or just the one provided in the kit? I'm adding those camber caster plates too and replacing the struts with blue tokicos....

  • @nite82hawk

    Have you heard of people using foxbody struts on sn95/new edges? Something about they allow for further travel down when driving. Your thoughts on this if you've heard of it.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not heard of that, but maybe it’s true. But too much travel downward may risk hitting the oil pan

  • @ff23018

    Hey Danny what is the deal with all those spacers??? Ive installed the bbk camber plates on my cobra before and they didnt require drilling an extra hole and all those spacers??

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Franky Flores The extra hole is for stability and the spacers is just how their kit is setup to compensate for the height difference. I didn’t engineer it, I just installed it lol

    Hey Dan! I have these plates on my 03 Cobra. The nuts on the plates are badly rusted and I want to replace them along with new washers. Can you give me the correct size for these nuts?

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      tominator I’ll have to try to take one off and see. In the meantime, if you stop in to a hardware store and remove one you can take it inside to the nuts and bolts section and they have a station with bolts and their sizes. You can thread the nut on one of those to see which size and pitch.

    • @tomkjr1
      @tomkjr1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2
