Stay, Edge of a Broken Heart, and I Want You are so incredibly underrated and rarely spoken of. Such great songs. Funny story I’ll never forget. I was driving down the road late one summer night, windows down, and I Want You was blasting on my radio. I came to a light and the car next to me started beeping at me. Driver was trying to get my attention just to ask what song was playing cause he loved it.
A few personal favs I'd add in are: Wildflower (Have a Nice Say) Broken Promise land (The Circle) Right side of wrong (Bounce) Hook Me Up (Bounce) Any Other Day ( Lost Highways) I could go on and on and on haha.
Any Other Day is by far and away the best song off Lost Highway, with the only other song that comes close being the bonus track Walk Like a Man! I also really like Make a Memory and Everybody's Broken, but they aren't as good as the previous two I mentioned.
My favourite B-side would be "Love is war". And if they would've given "Postcards from the wasteland" a proper production, it would have been a great closer for "Bounce" instead of the dull "Open all night". As far as album tracks go, "My guitar lies bleeding in my arms" is a masterpiece.

Some great choices. I agree Edge if a Broken Heart is Number 1. And finally someone else who likes I Want You! Doesn’t seem to be much love for that one amongst BJ fans. My suggestion for best one missed is Bounce. Think that could have been massive

I’d also have Dry County and Something To Believe In as songs that are criminally underrated and both are in Bon Jovi’s top 10 songs imo but don’t get the recognition they deserve!

Something to believe in, it's hard letting you go... the entire These Days album is their peak musically and lyrically, the sound is so rich, it all works so well together, they're all at their best. I was blown away by it at 13 and still am.

@@Cheximus they’ve always been pop with elements of hard rock. Sambora was the rock element and when he wasn’t allowed to shine so much in the 2000s, their sound became more country then they lost a lot of their rock edge
@@bjtop10 he was allowed to shine, he changed too. Look at Undiscovered Soul and then his later releases. He was going in the same direction as Jon. Soft rock and pop. I would argue 7800 isn't very poppy, it's mostly just hard hair rock. Sambora also started to get really sloppy with his playing around the 2000s.
@@Cheximus Soppy can be good in a good rock ballad but obviously Bon Jovi lost their quality songwriting and banging tunes after These Days album. Don't think Jon could do a power ballad anyway now his voice is weaker.
