I completely disagree with volbeat and illumise being so low. Other than murkrow they are the only pokemon with access to prankster tailwind and thunder wave, making them extremely good speed control options. Aside from that they also get access to helping hand, which is a great support move, and encore, which can punish people for using protect, the most common move in the format and also completely shuts down any set up sweeper in the game. they also doesn't have a bad matchup against opposing tornadus because they can encore them into tailwind and also has enough bulk to live a bleakwind storm if you ev it right. They are at least B tier, and should definitely be considered on any team lacking good speed control.
@gavinmcculloch1368 they could just bleakwind turn 1 kill vol/illumise then tailwind turn 2. There is mind games for sure I just feel like torn comes out on top in like 70% of the outcomes. Best case scenario you encore turn 1. They outspeed and tailwind first and get encored. But ya they could just bleakwind turn 1. Encore fails and you get no tailwind. The little bug just has a lot more risk
Does Ogerpon really get a 20% damage boost on every move if it's holding any of its other masks? That seems really overpowered for no particular reason.
It's meant to balance out the fact it can't hold an item, but fails to realize the point of it not holding an item was to balance it in the first place.

Also for Ogerpon there’s a huge difference between tour and ladder. In the ladder you have to guess the form off the team composition which means you could make the team misleading while in tours you will bow what form it has
What I think is really scary about Ursaluna is that, between its ability and its Ground typing, it perfectly covers all the defensive answers to its devastatingly powerful Normal-type attacks. If you want to resist both of its STABs, you need to be an ungrounded Rock- or Steel-type. Granted, that makes it a lot scarier in Singles than Doubles, and Special Ground-types aren't as scary as physical ones because Earthquake, but still.
I honestly didn’t have the skill to make it work but banded ghost type tera blast from dragapult OHKOs a lot of tornadus and so leading Chien pao pult and depending on the situation you switch one out into weezing to turn off prankster and KO torn before tailwind goes up was insane. Then it can spread willowisp, it gets weather setting moves, sludge bomb hits for okay damage and poisoning isn’t bad. Plus now that torn is down very little will outspeed pult and Chien pao. Pairing with someone who can help shut down trick room teams and you have so many good matchups. I just wish it turned off protosynthesis
Weezing is so good You can have it alongside defiant or competitive and when enemies bring out intimidate users you can pivot weezing, you can counter ability based weather, ogerpon doesnt like weezing (including will-o-wisp)
Hey Wolfey, I kinda got a cool video idea, you should do a competitive comparison between team rockets; Jesse and James, it would be cool to see what they got compared to todays meta

I'm currently running a slush rush team with A-Sanslash and she's an awesome revenge killer surprising enough. Is super bulky with assault vest and the Steele typing is used as a pretty decent pivot for the rest of the team
2nd time that Wolfey thought Vikavolt was already in base game 😂😂😂😂
I ran into someone using Weezing and Toedscruel, and let me say, that was the most anxious 6 turns of my life. Without Toes’ ability, it becomes the fastest user of Spore without setup and Weezing covers for any grass types that try to sponge it.
I can confirm vikavolt exists solid a because tera electrice trick room and it all over for them also he forgot chandelure :(
Volbeat and Illumise are pretty good imo. Tailwind, Encore and Taunt make them very annoying to play around.
I also like to use Lunge as my last move to annoy physical attackers
They get thunder wave too
Oh yeah, that too
They actually, finally remembered they gave those two dudes Prankster and went from there to buff them to a usable level with status moves.
@@bluebaron6811 I shiny hunted an Illumise the other day, after realizing I had an outbreak, guess it wasn't a waste of time, I literally only did so because I already had a shiny Noibat (now Noivern) and that was the only other outbreak that wasn't Clefairy/Cleffa in Kitakami
Bruh i wanted bred illumise shiny with comptitive ivs and prankster. Because i didnt know the randomness of Volbeat egg
Yes alolan sandslash has the same stat total as its kanto counter part but alolan sandslash has the best spread compared to its counter part. For example its special attack went from 45 to 25
Wolfey saying "Superb Owl" brings me an unreasonable amount of joy
i think a team with dipplin and sun could make it a solid choice tbh
You probably know this already but Dipplin can also hold eviolite for some reason.
Wolfey's tier lists are some of my favorite content
Hear me out, Arbok gets a third evo in the next dlc, called Repiv. Thoughts?
🔥🔥🔥
🐍 lock it in
Call it Repives
Let the prophecy from the anime come true
No. Cobras and Vipers are different and Cobras have better toxin ie neurotoxin. Name it Arbokgnik or something.
I've been smashing games with Prankster Illumise. Tailwind, Helping Hand, U-Turn, Thunder Wave. People don't expect it, it's fun.
Wolfey is the one TH-camr where I don’t skip sponsorships because even his add breaks makes me laugh
The wet socks issue is pretty relatable tho😂
@@zhanlin6179u gonna have to grab those wolfey 12s I heard they’re waterproof
Poor vikavolt being skipped like that
Please consider Dipplin to lower evasion + Milotic with Hypnosis and Muddy Water
Bro I wasn’t paying attention then I heard this 😂😂😂 11:47
Peobably the most important thing of both Weezing forms is how they undo the nerfs of Slaking and Regigigas, both of which base stat totals of 670.
Dipplin can hold eviolite so it can be very bulky and has recover
So i think it will be hard to defeat in competitive
It's more of a sitting duck and with Ogerpon it ain't going to survive. not to mention tht Kommo-o is popular now.
it's also worth noting that dipplin also gets sticky hold, so if you're running that its eviolite can't be knocked off

I would love to see a video detailing the best tera types for the 'mon returning to the game through the DLC.
if Ogerpon would have has Close combat, the rock ogerpon would be especially powerful as you can use the move to reduce your defenses and get your sturdy to proc, giving an extra turn
Yeah, I've found Sturdy kinda worthless. There aren't many things in the meta actually activating it assuming you EV'd anything into defenses, and even if you don't, it's still rare.
why would you invest EVs into defense? you EV invest into attack and speed, even with rock mask@@Endershock1678
d(r)ipplin can wear an eviolite, because of code stuff with it getting an evo next dlc and use recover, works pretty well for me
Sticky hold for eviolite too
Poor Vikavolt couldn’t even make it on the tier list
Empolein doesn't get access to scalp true but it does get Water pledge which is a nice 100acc 80 power move. So it at least has a stable water move.
Kantonian Ninetales has a pretty diverse movepool. It just can't fully take advantage of it.
I actually used leavanny with Groudon to boost its speed with a nature that boosts speed and lowers attack with Choice Specs/Wise Glasses to boost sp. attack, with energy ball, bug buzz, Tera blast water, and air slash? I believe that’s it’s name, (can flinch), and was actually amazing, it had chlorophyll so it was really fast. I personally would put it at least A tier because it has good strats and if you use Tera water you can get rid of the 4x fire and 4x flying to a 2x resistance and neutral resistance to flying.
It is nice they buffed Empoleon and Torterra, but there are still quite a few buffs they forgot to do:
* Arbok: Shed Tail could be a nice buff.
* Furret: Tidy up is nice, but if they also gave it Fur Coat ...
* Dusknoir: both of the new broken Ghost moves make sense on him and would be be very helpful. And it still has no knock off and drain punch.
* Ambipom: Still has Pickup instead of Unburden.
* Volbeat/Illumise: Would be nice if they got Healing Wish/Memento like Lati@s did. And they really should've been part Fairy as of gen6.
You know exactly what you did putting Illumise in the thumbnail and giving it only 10 seconds of discussion. You will answer for your misdeeds.
4:48 groudon also has drought
Hey wolf, politoed gets weather ball which is 100 percent accurate and has 100 base power AND gets stab from rain
My favourite part was when WolfeyVGC said "It's wolfing time" and wolfed down all the pokemon
Illumise is the only prankster encore user which is very useful for annoying Pokémon like Alolan Ninetails and Iron Hands
Wolfe Glick seriously said Steel is a better offensive type than Ground.
Steel hits flutter mane and chien pao, and the meta is full of grass types and ground immune Pokémon, so while ground is usually better steel is very strong in this current vgc meta
Water-pon spammin wood hammer next to a water tera politoad launchin off surfs has been pretty rad, mostly heals up ogrepon while layin down decent damage on the other side. Not optimal by any means, but pretty fun imo
They are at least B tier, and should definitely be considered on any team lacking good speed control.
true
Torn outspeeds and taunts them before encore
@Beamin439 still prevents the bleakwind storm for a turn and if theres open team sheets you can make a prediction and get a free switch
The reason is because it's a perfect baby angel 🥺

14:37 PLEASE WolfeyVGC MAKE A FURRET TEAM VIDEO! Or stream, anything! I love Furrett with all my heart and soul. Live the long boi dream Wolfey!
Furret’s my favorite Pokémon, really happy that he might be at least below average now instead of completely abysmal
I have decided that I want to start finding random videos about competitive Pokémon and share ideas of abilities and moves that I made up in hopes that maybe I could be responded by one of the creators. We’ll start with the ability Separate Reality
Separate Reality will cause the Pokémon to ignore Light Screen, Reflect, Pokemon under a substitute, Trick room, Wonder room, Magic room, Alley Switch, and Skill swap . It would be for either and Mythical, or a Pokémon with 490 BST for Balance. The description would be “ the user has its own Reality so Reality swapping effect wouldn’t effect its own Reality. What do you think? Should it effect more, less? Is it good, bad? Tell me what you think
Im just happy too see dipplin not get hated on def a fair rating for the apple
12:00 Adding to Ivy Cudgel, it also has an increased critical hit chance👀
Wolfeys secret with kommo-o is costar flamigo
technician normal gem ambipom with fake out is hits so hard, plus covet and knock off make it really good at shutting down items
Kommo -o + life dew clefairy is really fun, it is quite decent at playing slow and setting kommo-o up to beat trick room. Started with tera steel, but ended up on Tera fire because I kept ending up in tricky spots vs flutter+chi-yu
"i love this pokemon so much......D tier" lmao
Alolan Sandslash does indeed have better stats than Kantonian Sandslash
HP 75
Atk 100
Def 110 --> 120 for Alolan
Sp.Atk 45 --> 25 for Alolan
Sp.Def 55 --> 65 for Alolan
Speed 65

How Fezendipiti ranked above Clef, I have no idea. Or why Wheezing Galar is on the same tier as regular Wheezing.
he rank it for vgc,not singles, keep that in mind,i played smogon few times and from smogon perspective this list kinda weird, but for vgc it's quite perfect
@@souleymanediawara7714 No, im talking in the context of VGC. I dissagre with quite a lot of the rankings here, like fezandipity for example. I think its very bad, not A tier
Real Youtubists wouldve done a real intro 😢
i was waiting for this! World Champ Difference
Today is a weird day, 3rd video in a row I‘m catching in the 1st minute it came out by randomly refreshing ^^
Well no yeah, Vikavolt is new! I'm more curious about the viability of Eviolite Charjabug though lol
Battery definitely makes it really interesting
Great video. Love my Vessis by the way!
Always happy to watch my favorite kind of videos.
Weezing is so good
You can have it alongside defiant or competitive and when enemies bring out intimidate users you can pivot weezing, you can counter ability based weather, ogerpon doesnt like weezing (including will-o-wisp)
Hey Wolfey, I kinda got a cool video idea, you should do a competitive comparison between team rockets; Jesse and James, it would be cool to see what they got compared to todays meta
been messing around on low ladder with a team that has munkidori, ursaluna and gliscor, using munkidori sludge wave to activate guts/poison heal as well as dealing out like 30% on most neutral hits and just poisoning everything. it's not suuuuper effective, but it's really funny when it works, and it works more often than you'd expect
VGC ain’t ready for scale shot coil Arbok 🔥🔥🔥
Hold up, Is that the sky tower theme in the background
black sludge+intimidate arbok with switcheroo, sucker punch, glare/haze, optional will always be goated in my eyes
