@justharrison the commander got nerfed in a update a bit ago and now only boost tower 55 percent so the accelerator dps should be 300 and the engineer would have a dps of 400 so the engineer does have a higher dps. But you can place more accelerators so it evens there dps but engi is better tower beacuse of its use throughout early mid and late game
Ehh, engi is quite under power in today meta. I don't think it better at all in term of early-game tower and late-game tower. She is also quite underpower in term of late game tower.
ok harry, if you see this comment then the way to calculate accelerator’s dps with commander boost is slightly more complicated and will result in something different instead of 443 in order to calculate the tick speed of accelerator during cta, use this formula (from the wiki) Original fire rate/(1 + % boost) using the formula above, we have 0.1/(1+55%) = 0.06451… but tds will round the number down to 0.06 due to the rate of fire bug (I believe it’s a roblox problem) the actual fire rate will be 0.068 (because it is a roblox problem, the number is not rounded up to 0.07 the dps formula for accelerator is Overcharge/[Overcharge/(damage/tick speed) + cooldown + charge up] using the aforementioned formula to calculate lvl 5 accelerator’s dps we have this 3000/[3000/(50/0.068)+2+2] = 371.28 dps you can call me a nerd or whatever I’ll take it 🤓

they do the same dps 300x8=2400,400x6=2400 accel is good for bosses while engi is a generalist
