I ordered the set of pocket screwdrivers from MAC Daddy Micheal on Wednesday. I also ordered a couple of Koon Trucking shirts.
Can you press the handle off like they do with screw drivers when they replace the shank and flip it to the other side
Put blade in a vise pry off the handle and turn it around just like when the tool trucks replace the blade
Matco stopped by today and I just had to pick up one of the blue ratchets.

@@KoonTrucking had been thinking about getting a Matco ratchet for a while and just never had. But I have a lot of cornwell tools and that blue blends right in with them.
I pulled my mac pry bars out and switched with some snapon ones just to mess with people... It's funny watching people try to order them from the snapon guy
I carry a Carlyle one daily. It doesn't have a magnet, but I use it multiple times a day and wouldn't want to be with out it! Very handy for connectors, plastic panels and a million other things! Sometimes even for screws! 😄
The best promotional pocket screwdrivers are made by Alexander. I think you need to get with MATCO and have them come out a pocket sized PRY DRIVER with the features you mentioned. I also think the MAC PN2C needs to have a 3 inch blade instead of the current 2 inch blade. Great video, Thanks for sharing!!!

I was unsure about this video, but i am glad i watched it a few simple tweaks & yes it would be perfect. you would like to think a tool maker would look more closely at what they make.

Clay--I was made aware of this item a few months ago (February-March) in a video CP the Tool Addict posted here on TH-cam. I elected to buy this piece at the time, as it functions as a mini prybar (I use it for electrical stuff). And yes, shame on MAC for not including a magnet at the top. If you encourage them through your dealer contact(s), they may consider adding one on a future version. I think that the clip is on the wrong side too, which was short-sighted of the engineers. A way around that, though, would be to use one of those plastic pocket pen holders; salesmen that carried several ballpoint pens used to keep one in their chest pocket to prevent ink stains. That should also minimize accidental stab wounds from the blade facing into your chest. Your dealer may be able to hook you up with one from MAC.
Great idea with adding the magnet to the end. I may have to add that to mine now, both the curve and straight.
I personally don't like the magnet in pocket screwdrivers.... Ends up sticken to doors or something I don't want it too when I climbing under dashes or underhoods lol
I bought that set of pocket pry bars the day after you featured them a few weeks ago. Even though I really do like them, I retried both of them last week because of the exact problems you described! I’m going to have to try this magnet thing...
Ur Mac pocket pry bar ,have u tried removing the blade like a screwdriver and turn the handle round as just like a screwdriver blade ,did that to mine and works perfect

SDD204 snap on is my favourite. Not a fan of the magnet. I keep a telescoping magnet in my other pocket.
I did that mod minus the magnet because I wrap my hand over it and magnet would dig in my hand but yes the blade will come out then just put it back it the other way really easy.
Wouldnt it poke a hole in your shirt if it was the other way under the same conditions? I don’t have them, idk how they feel in person. Seems that might be a new issue if they switch it on the curved one. Might need it to sit sideways so it won’t dig as much and won’t poke hole in your shirt. Or just use the straight one I guess.
When I first started Electrical work, Every electrician used to have 3 or 4 of those pocket screwdrivers (flathead) in their tool box because the pocket size flat head was the absolutely perfect size for terminal block screws. But Nowadays all of the electrical tool companies (Klein, Greenlee, Ideal and the german brands) all make specialty "Terminating" screwdrivers for that . . . but back in the day, the pocket screwdriver was the best thing out there for terminal blocks.
I still use a pocket screw driver for terminal blocks, cleaning contacts, and to pull contactors and power supplys off din rail

Put the blade in a vise and pry up on the handle. The blade will come out. Then you can put the blade back in in any direction you want.
I've bought 2 sets of these, 1 set I leave alone and the other I pulled the tips out and replied the back in but i didnt put it all the way back in so I have 2 different lengths of them

I bet if you heated that little pocket clip up you can pull it out then reheat it and stick it back in the other side of the plastic handle screwdriver
The magnet is sweet i don't use pocket screwdrivers with magnets. When I use to service trailers the magnet would catch the axle and then stay me in the chest. But it does look sweet and when I first seen cp the tool addict with those I notice the clip was on the wrong side also. But they still were really cool so I had to order mine online cause I don't have a mac dealer. Now everyone in my shop wants them.

Hey Clay, I think the clip should be moved to one side so that the curve goes to one side or the other. Instead of it digging into your chest or curving out into space.
Have Hamilton pull it out of its handle like the Snap On scredrivers this friday. Since he has the screwdriver shaft puller/installer. 👍

Ya the Mac mini pry bars need a magnet and the clip to be reversed for them to be worth the money. I’ll stick with my regular pocket screw drivers

Mac sells the screwdrivers and he just glued that magnet in it after drilling it out.
The pocket clip pulls out of the handle way to easy. I have this set and both clips fell off. So now they just lay in a draw. This and adding a magnet would make these the cats meow.
I agree. Since the clip is backwards I may just pull mine out or look for some cool nipple rings since I have pierced mine about 10 times since i got them ! Haha

Not undermining you clay in any way. But I have one of the mac pocket mini pry bar. I was under the assumption it was a mini pry bar and not a mini screwdriver.
Jessy Salyer I think they market them as pry drivers actually but they make the flat one also if you buy the set ? I know I use the flat one as a screwdriver and it actually works better because it is thicker than a regular pocket screwdriver
More evidence that they do not have people in the design or engineering department that ever did any work with tools. They should at least have one or two guys such as yourself do an original review prior to mass producing the tool. Still inept at tool construction.
