Yeah overgrown like most streams this time of year. Luckily it’s easy to wade so you can stay in the water. Love this stretch, somehow have never been skunked here (knocks on wood).
Nice fish my man. I can also relate with some of those low light moments too 😂. Catch some of those on some light weight fly gear, that would be a blast. Btw, you ever get over the border here into MN Driftless?
Haha 😂. I fished this a couple weeks earlier on my 4wt (not sure that’s what you mean by light). Landed two in that range and it was pretty wild. I don’t get over to Mn nearly as much as I should or want. Probably bc I have so much water close to me.
Olufs Waterview Yeah, I was meaning like a 3/4 wt. 7’6. I have some small gear and it gets pretty intense for fish in that range. Yeah that makes sense. I’ve read a lot about WI driftless, but so much water here also. Nice vid man!
I like how that last fish grew so quickly from 18 to 20 inches as you talked about it lol. By the time you get home it'll be over 30!
The natural evolution of a fish story lol
Love watching the videos! Getting experience with you streamside!
Thanks, glad you're enjoying them. Wish I could edit things quicker and get more vids out. So much footage still in the archives.
Love your content man, keep up the great work!
Thanks I appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed
Great video. I think I fished this exact stretch of creek this past weekend. Extremely overgrown this time of year, but I still caught a lot of fish!

5:36 Was that a bat?
Haha nah that was a toad. So weird though bc I saw like 6 of them just floating down stream. Usually don’t see them in the stream
nice little stream with nice fishes
thanks. yeah it is a nice one

do you mind if I asked where is this place?
South central WI
Lol a Wisconsin trout fisherman giving up their exact spots is about the rarest thing conceivable to happen on this planet.
