The beaches there are awesome. You must come from a rural area as I did not see anything I would describe as congested or traffic. The road from Arizona is nice and safe. I’m glad that the USA scrutinizes vehicles returning. Take some time to enjoy the Mexican people and culture. Maybe learn a little Spanish if you plan on returning.
This is very informative, thanks! How did you guys pay for everything in MX? I know you had Pesos in cash, but how about gas? can you still use your US credit card for that? How much was auto insurance for your one day trip?
Every gas station that we went to took credit cards (we used visa). A lot of people prefer to pay for gas in cash bc most stations are not self serve gas stations. For the day trip it was about $50. I’m not sure if you saw our other videos but we ended up spending two months in Mexico last year and we actually spent another two months in Mexico this year because we had such an amazing time. I am relatively new to AZ and always wanted to take vacations down in Rocky point, just wasn't sure if I can drive down there my self and arrange hotels and food and all that stuff in a foreign country. I just got my American passport and I think I will start by having a long weekend down there by driving myself there. Have you guys ever had trouble with the cops down there? I heard they are super corrupt.
There are resorts along the beach you can stay. I know a lot of folks in Arizona like to go down there because it’s the closest to the ocean. We’ve never taken any whale tours or scenic tours directly from Rocky Point, but I know there are lots of them. We’ve never had any trouble with the police however, the possibility could be there as a solo traveler.

Next time avoid chimichangas and gringo bars to get the real Mexico experience.
